  6. How's it going? You're amazing[emoji4] as i can imagine with type 1 diabetes it makes everything a lot more complicated
  7. What is your pre op diet? Are you on it now?
  8. It's monday morning here in Australia so I'm asuming it's Sunday for you. All the best for your pre op diet...is it only liquids? Mine is 3 protein shakes a day with 2 cups non starchy veggies...then nothing the night before/ morning of surgery. I'm interested in what others do.
  9. Does that mean you have to avoid all slider foods? If@dathvick s doctor is right i think I'll cry....i love cottage cheese!!
  10. Thank you. That's really helpful
  11. Will be thinking of you and praying [emoji4]
  12. In a lot of posts there is mentioned "slider foods"...what are they? I've never been told about them. I had a sleeve 2015 and having a RYGB sept 2018
  13. I'll be waiting to see how it all goes...and then you can tell me!
  14. Hi everyone. So glad people answered!! It is great to have support and go through it together at the same stages. I am in Australia so my hospital and surgeon won't mean anything! I had a sleeve done jan 2015. Not really a problem till july 2017 when i started to get nausea and reflux. I ate more fatty foods and junk so started to gain weight. When i went to the surgeon last month and had a ct and gastroscopy...it showed i have gastritis and a kink in my sleeve. So on 19th sept (aussie time) i am having surgery to remove the kink and convert to bypass. Am currently eating some foods i like that i won't be able to eat afterwards and on 5th sept start my 2 week pre op diet. Feeling impatient but nervous at the same rime
  15. Having my surgery on 19th sept. Pre op diet starts 5th sept.
  16. Have you talked to your surgeon and nutritionist? What did they say?
  17. Does anyone have any experiences with these foods (positive and/or negative) post gastric bypass? And if you're ok with them, when did you introduce that food back in to your diet? I'm trialling some foods pre op before my optifast 2 week diet.
  18. I know I can't predict what will happen but it's encouraging to know that it's possible not to have problems. Thanks
  19. Mine is sept 19th (Australia). Just saw the surgeon again today. Went well. Had all my questions answered. He agreed re the flatulence is manageable with the surgery I'm having. So am filling in all the hospital paperwork now.
