    Both. You want to pay attention to volume because your capacity is limited. Stick with the volume amounts your team has given you. I was instructed to eat about 2-3 Fluid ounces per meal/snack initially. You probably already know that increases over time as you tolerate it.
    However, in order to track nutrition, you need to know how much your food weighs so you can accurately log it. Are you using My Fitness Pal? You can sometimes find ingredients by volume but usually it's by weight for non liquid items.
    For practical purposes, I eyeball the volume and weigh it on the scale.

    Yes! Please do. I made the mistake several years ago of not telling my personal trainer I'd had a recent laproscopic surgery because it was fertility related and I didn't want to discuss it.
    The belly button incision seemed to be sensitive for months longer than the other spots. Turned out I had an umbilical hernia from lifting too heavy and using my abs too soon.
    4 years later, I finally had it repaired when I had my gastric bypass. Brutal recovery. You can bet I've been very careful since and I always wear my weight belt. 😉

    Poblano peppers (massage olive oil on them first and cut them in halves)-roast for 10 minutes on 400*. Use jerk seasoning and jerk marinade when you cook your chicken. Saute some red onions and add them to the chicken. Also dice some pineapple and add it as well. Once everything is complete stuff your pepper and add your favorite cheese or not. I also added some pickled red onions on top and then baked it for an additional 5 minutes. You can pickle the onions by just adding some lime juice to a bowl and let them sit with an occasional stir for about 10 minutes.

    I made homemade 11 bean Soup and added lentils and barley. A little goes a long way so I didn’t make too much. There is a great product called Better Than Bouillon which is located in the soup isle at your store. Adds great flavor. I blended it smooth and added a dash of vinegar to prevent gas issues. Freezes well too. I ate this soup daily for two weeks. Added powdered egg white for even more Protein. Homemade is yummy!

    One of my favorite things to do is play in the snow. This is our snow cricket
    We got really excited and got out there as soon as there was a sprinkle of snow on the ground!

    I love her! She was part of an exhibition here last summer and it was amazing. My daughters and I saw it together. We went back twice while it was in town. Powerful.

    Hey! I'm really sick of purees! But it's better than the liquid diet - that was brutal. I wish I never had to look at another Protein Drink as long as I live. I developed some serious food aversions on liquid because I was feeling so nauseous every time I ate something. So lots of things are cancelled. Moving on to purees. I'm doing much better b ut I still prefer to eat a large variety of food so I'm trying to mix it up a bit. Try some of these if you need ideas!
    (my favorite continues to be refried Beans but I don't think I need a pic of that here)
    GREEK chicken SALAD: rotisserie chicken, Trader Joe's tzatziki dip, black pepper, garnished with mint leaf (I food process the chicken and the sauce separately then mix them together with a spoon - it leaves just enough texture to keep me from going crazy - not a fan of chicken pudding)
    I also do regular chicken salad like this with mayo, lemon zest, dijon, salt, pepper; here's a pic of both

    Thank you for the solidarity. I felt like I was being a wuss, but I've always been very sensitive to texture with food. I've survived since doing similar to what you proposed. Had the family recipe Pasta Sauce whizzed up with veg, but very very finely chopped very soft chicken breast and had a few bits of grated cheese with. Did the same with some salmon and a low low fat soft cheese with teeny tiny bits of chopped up Cucumber in it. Then chicken and gravy. All total mush when chewed a couple of times and no stomach complaints. I know that's kinda cheating Vs just blitzing the heck out of it all, but did reckon Drs try to protect those who perhaps aren't cooks or can't afford the great tender cuts of meat and fish fillets I'm lucky enough to be able to.

    I am also not a fan of purees. The texture is absolutely nauseating, especially with things that you wouldn't normally eat pureed. Trying porridge was a great move - I'd try adding some unflavored Protein Powder to see if you can get that extra bit of nutrition in.
    The thing that helped for me was to make these things look like a mini casserole with the cheese melted on top. That way, I couldn't see what gross stuff was under there. Things I liked the best were things that I didn't have to puree - they already come that way. ie: refried Beans, yogurt, thick Soups, pudding, guacamole, hummus, etc.
    It's been a week since your post - I hope it's going better!
