Hello all!

I am 5 months out and a 100lbs down. I am honestly so grateful that I got the opportunity to have this operation done. I don’t miss my old life style at all, I now love the gym, I love my lean Protein and veggie meals, I love being able to shop anywhere without worrying about if they’ll carry my size, I love not worrying about taking up too much space on public transport, I love running about everywhere and not feeling the excess weight on my knees and feet.

Have I had bad days?? Of course! One day I ate an entire block of brie, another day I ate a slice of pizza. But the difference is now I don’t let my mistakes define. One bad meal isn’t going to get me back where I started. One bad meal isn’t the end of my journey. I accept it, and move on. Maybe i’ll move around even more the next day.

I have another 30lbs to go until I hit my goal weight, I will never ever ever be skinny, because i’m naturally curvy and you know what? That’s ok. I own these curves and i’m healthy and curvy!

I had surgery 10/22. I used to drink the Vitamin Water zero, but now find them too sweet. Unsweetened applesauce is my sweetness limit so far.

It has to do with microbial changes in your gut bacteria due to the surgery and changes in tract dynamics, the smell goes away for the most part. Sometimes it's nasty, usually when I eat foods I really shouldn't, but typically it gets better as you heal and work through all the diet changes.

Something else to note, after WLS the "Never Trust a Fart" motto is one to live by, I haven't had it happen, but LOTS of folks report Fart+'s happen much more often.

Thanks everyone!! Doing good today! Monday was rough. I was sore and slept (in and out) all day. I couldn't eat much and was nauseous and dry heaving once. Doc decided to keep me an extra night, and I was grateful. liquids went down easier yesterday and even more so today. I should be heading home today. Pain is much improved, except when I cough! Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!

Mine is a 2 week plan. First week is 2 Protein Shakes per day plus 1 meal (4-6 oz lean meat and 1 1/2 C vegetables). I'm now on week 2, which is 4 Protein shakes per day. Of course lots of water/clear liquids. I can also have broth, SF Jell-o and SF popsicles. I've had no hunger issues or cravings. (Yay!) Surgery is Monday!

Hidden tell him you'll bring him a bag of white flour and a box of Powdered sugar, then the 6 pounds will be s1uare and you can move on. Besides if you are going he slim you don't need either of those items anymore.😛

I think they removed my TIGGER-TAIL when they did my surgery, I bounce,no more. Hoping for a smooth chug chug down the road of life🚕.

My surgery is now postponed until Oct, but thanks for the packing recommendations. Never too early to start preparing.
