  1. I’m so glad you asked this! I was sleeved on 9/12 and I feel the same way. The only time I really even notice a difference is if I try to drink really cold water. I’m glad to hear that it’s different with food- I was getting worried.
  2. Same!! I’m on day 5, and while I’ve lost some weight, it’s not falling off like others. (I’m on the two shakes, sensible meal plan). I think part of it is that I put on about 5 lbs in the time between my last nut appointment and my first day of pre-op, so I was already in the hole. (Wish I’d never heard of food funerals. Of course, I was like, that’s a great idea!). Now that I’m over the hunger hump and low energy, I’m going to up my walking to soo if that helps. It’s finally below 100 outside this week, so it won’t be such a beating!

  7. I started out doing the 6 months of visits because my surgeon’s office thought that was required w BCBS, but...after about three months of visits, the office checked for someone with the same type of insurance I had and that rule had recently changed, and I found out today that I am approved for Sept 12! I say go ahead and have them submit your packet with the medical necessity letter and your clinicals, and then your doctor can even speak with the nurses reviewing your file to plead your case. The worst they can say is that you have to do the full six months, and hey- if you don’t ask, you don’t get. Go for it!!
  8. Hi, guys!! Just found out today I was approved and am scheduled for September 12 in Lewisville, TX. I am sooo excited! Congrats, y’all! What all have you all bought in preparation for the surgery (vitamins, shakes, whatever...)? I’m trying to get my list together because I’m sure it’ll be here before I know it.
