Tomorrow is my nutrition class, and pre-op appointment. One week until surgery. This is getting real. Thank you all for your comments. Real life experience means more to me then text books information.

LOVE this thread. Doesn't make me feel bad for having those 2 chicken nuggets last night after staying strict with liquid all day. Back on the horse today. Im down 4lbs(just getting started with my journey) and my official liquid diet starts tomorrow but I have been trying really hard to stick to it now. Surgery in one week.

By my 4th day I wasn't hungry even had a burst of energy. I didn't know I had the will power.

Hello, my RnY was on the 3rd. All went well. I did have a lot of pain while I had my drain in. Once it was removed the pain immediately went away. My Doctor ordered an elastic waist band that has really helped especially when doing my walking. I am home now and feel great. Just going to continue resting for a few days. Best wishes to all of you who have your date coming up.

Lala70 don’t let these opinions of people that don’t know your life get to you. I was scared the whole time before I met the other people having surgery with me because I just knew they were gonna look at me like “wtf is she doing here” but once I met them I felt better because I thought they don’t know me and I don’t know them so even if they judge me it doesn’t matter because they don’t know my story. I’m a low BMI patient and to some maybe “not that much over weight” but those of us on this board aren’t here for a weight competition we are here for support to help one another. So for future reference to anyone who has an opinion for someone who had surgery that maybe you don’t think fits the normal profile just remember this is huge life change and nobody who hadn’t been on the walk of life with a struggle would choose this lightly..... so maybe we may not be walking the same path as you but it doesn’t make our path any less.

Anyways back to the light side! Excited to have you on the sleeved side Lala70. Hope to stick together through the good results... can’t wait to start working out so I don’t lose my booty feels like all 20 lbs have been straight from my ass... figures huh!

July 25th here (this is also my first post ever!) I have to do liquids one week out with clear liquids the day prior to surgery! Ive already started to incorporate liquids for at least one meal a day sometimes two. I have cut out carbonated drinks completely. Im excited for my nutrition class coming!

Hi JJ, good for you getting ahead of the game - your system will thank you. I quit soda 7 mos ago and really don't miss it. The sooner we start "workin; the program" the better our chances for great outcomes. Welcome aboard the July Train!
