Hello everyone! I am at my DD's so I am on the puter. My DD will post after my surgery to let you all know how I am doing. I have decided that until I get a decent paying job or lots more hrs that I am not getting internet hooked back up. I have more important bills to pay. I am still having LBT withdrawels something feirce! I miss you all. There is just so much to read and so little time that I am letting you all know that I pray you are all having a blessed day. I pray you got the new jobs applied for. Health issues are better, pets are better. When I don't have the grand kids bothering me so much I will try to read and post a proper post. miss ya'll

I checked into getting just internet and it ranges from almost $60.00 up. I told them to forget it. I wanted the coupon price for $20.00. But that is if I get the package. Go jump in the lake! I am totally at a loss! lol Hello everyone! Today is DGD's b-day she is 6. So I am able to be on the puter at DD house. The one that lives near me has had her internet shut off also. So I have to wait till I can go some where else to use it. Update on DBIL. They put a trach in on Tues. Said he can't get another one (this is #2). Still in ICU. He might get to go to a room next week. My surgery date has been changed to Sept 24th. He will be taking out all of the left thyroid. If it is non cancerous he won't touch the right side. Ipray yall are well and getting jobs. Etc.....:frown:

Hello all, I am sorry I haven't been able to update ya'll but I no longer have internet. I am going to read a few post after I post this. They had trouble with the biopsy. They could only stick me 1 time. My muscle is in front of my thyroid and it made it very difficult to get it. I spoke with the Dr. last night. I have abnormal cells. But don't know if it is cancer or not. He is setting the surgery up for Sept. 4th. When he takes out the 1 he is going to have it biopsied right then. If it is cancerous then he will remove the other thyroid. Bweing a cancer survivor I deffinetly have my concerns. My DBIL is still in SICU. They are going to put a trach (sp) in this week. When they removed him from the (drats I forgot what it's called) breathing tube thingy, he took a nose dive again. he was only off of it for 1 1/2 hrs. The Dr. said he will be in there for quite a while. Update on newest addition to the family. My DD had her first OBGYN appointment yesterday. Due date is March 17th. We got to hear the heart beat! I am already in love with the newest member. It was just the shock of finding out that blew me away! I don't mind not having a phone so much. But my word I miss the internet! I miss not talking to ya'll every day. I have got to get it back some how. So I pray you are all doing good. After I read some I will post more. Love you all.:thumbup:

Up date on DBIL.. They are bringing him around. he has pnumonia. There are several things that they want to check on. The Dr. said he is improving, but he is far from being out of the woods. He will be in ICU for awhile again. I will come here Monday and up date you again. Also I will update you about myself.:biggrin: Take care and Be Blessed.

I have grown to love everyone on the PJTP thread. Yes including you plain. This is family here. I think that is why I went back to FB. So I can keep up with the ones who have left already. Most of them are on FB. Not all though. Unfortunatly no matter where you go or what you do there will always be a few that will ruin it for everyone. I will be truthful there are times I read someones post on the other threads and I just want to scream at them that they are idiots. But I refrain myself. Only because at 1 time I was one of those idiots. I wasn't yelled at or called stupid. Granted there are some doozies on here, (we know most of those threads) that really needs yelled at in a nice way. In a way that they don't know that they are being yelled at and called stupid. But the people who come on here saying that we wasn't ever fat, or you only have 70 lbs to lose why are you here, need to get a grip! People work very hard to lose their weight. I don't care if it is 70 lbs or 270 lbs you have to lose it is still a struggle. We all know that there are "moles" on these boards that we have to watch out for. But they usually stick out like a sore thumb. I say report them to the mods and let them take care of the moles. For people who need to get things off their chest there is the rants section. IMHO no one should get upset with replys in that section considering it is a rants section and just about anything goes there. For anyone thinking about leaving (Lu) or anyone else, please rethink it. Now good morning everyone. I hope you are having a good day. Update on DBIL...they are taking him off the meds that have paralized him and are going to start to wake him. I think from what my DS said it is to see how well his vitals will do on their own? Not for sure. I love my sister, but gets fear confussed and squirrley when it comes to what Dr.s and Nurses are telling her. That is why it is better if someone is with her when medical things are being explained. I will be going up to see him tomorrow so I will know more myself. Thanks Slim I talked to my DS a few minutes ago, still no change on DBIL. I am praying he would wake up today. Oh they took him off the meds that paralized him and tied down his hands. But anyway I hope he wakes up and gets put in a room before Fri. I am sending heavy prayers up for him. His DS and family is moving back to Cal. on the 18th. But they can only come here and visit Fri. thru Sat. morning because the job they have now they don't have the time to be able to take off longer. They are house parents at a kids ranch for troubled kids. But I know it will put my DBIL into a deep depresion if he don't get to see the grandbabies before they move. He was in a big enough funk knowing they were moving. I hate seeing the big guy go through so much. (he is 6'4 and app.350 lbs) I have a pic. of him yrs ago holding a 50 gallon drum above his head like it was nothing. Oh. well I digress. But that is what is going on with DBIL

They did an EKG on me today. they will call me and let me know when I go and get the "thin needle biopsy" done. They are going to stick the needle straight through my neck into the mass. FUN, fun. Then when they know if it is benign or not then they will schedule my surgery. I didn't get any answers today because none of them are dr.s and can't answer my questions.:sneaky:

I am not even trying to catch up on all the posting. No change on DBIL. He is still critical. I have been so tired and have been stress eating. Back on track today. Eating healthy. I have to go get some test ran this morning. I hope they tell me exactly when my surgery will be. The other day the Dr. said he "wants to get it done within the next 2 weeks." I was shocked and didn't even ask any questions like how long will I be out of commission. Will it be day surgery, what will I be allowed to eat? Because it it through the Free Clinic, will it be written off or will I be charged at a lower rate and put on a payment plan. Will I need someone at home to take care of me. That might be a problem considering my kids won't hardly come here. It has been almost 2 months since anyone of my 3 DDs have came to my home. So many questions. Hopefully I will be able to get answers today. Well I have to get dressed and on my way. Ya'll have a blessed day.

hello all. Just a quick update. BIL is a little better. His kidneys are putting out a little more. But still in critical condition. I will have surgery in about 2 weeks. Don't know the exact date yet. i am here at hospital with sis. Will read and update latter. Love ya'll

I want to Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts.:cool: From what was explained to us was what he aspirated into his lungs was from his stomach which was backed up from him not using the restroom like he should have. Apparently a nurse asked him yesterday if that was all he had used the restroom. She seemed concerned. My BIL told my DS that he didn't feel right yesterday. But that is what caused the sepsis. I asked 2x to make sure I was clear on the fact. So basically it was bile that went into his lungs. I have a busy day tomorrow. I have my appointment with the ENT at the clinic. So I should know if they are going to do the surgery on my thyroid. Work if there is no change for the worse for DBIL. Then hospital after work. Well I'm getting ready to go to bed. Night all.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. You don't know how much it is apperciated. Yes KC it is Sepsis. I don't know if they have him on that or not. At first when we got here this morning they said he asparated. They were worried about his Oxegyn levels because they were low 80s. Then they told us that he might have a blood clot in his lungs. Pulmunary ambulisim? After exrays they came out and was talking about all the fluid in his lungs. They finally got his O2(?) levels up but his BP dropped. The last time we were allowed to see him they told us that they were sure he has devloped Sepsis. That his BP still won't go up and his kidneys aren't producing like they should. I understood that Sepsis is bad. I have heard that term before. I just wasn't for sure how bad. I counted his IVs he has 9 not counting what is leading into his intubation for his lungs. there is another 3-4 bags there. I am trying to hold it together for my sister. I am listening to all the nurses are saying. We haven't seen a dr. since this morning. Anything you could tell us to ask I will. Thanks soo much KC

hello everyone. I don't remember if I had told you about my DBIL having surgery this past Mon. or not. But thing have gone down hill. This morning he asperated and it went into his lungs. He is in ICU now. They paralized him. His kidneys are shutting down his blood pressure is down and they are having trouble getting it back up. They just told us they think he has sespice? All over body infection? Help here KC. I have been here at the hospital all day since 6:30 am. The dr. said it is a very fine line. Over the last 2 yrs. he has been through so much. We almost lost him 1 1/2 yrs ago. he was in ICU for 4 months. So I love y'all and pray for him big time. His name is Carl. My sister is Connie. Thanks guys1
