Thank you so much. I wish people would have more consideration and try to be understanding, when it comes to talking to people that have undergone WLS

At my goal weight a week away from 7 months post-op
That's true, a lot of people don't understand what a healthy BMI is (some don't even know what a BMI is). I already hear people telling me I have lost too much weight and I shouldn't lose anymore. Today is the first day I could really see myself though. Before I was looking at myself thinking my weight loss was going good, but I wasn't fully looking at myself. I can see how much smaller my face, neck, feet, hands, legs and arms really really have gotten. I just have to remember that I did this for the right reason, which is I want to live and have a healthy life. Not really worried about what friends and family think about the choice I made, because they weren't in my shoes.

Yes, it's very strange. I thought I had mentally prepared myself well enough. I was wrong. I wasn't prepared for things to be so rapid and dramatic.

Thank you for the advice! I'm definitely going to have to try it, because I almost felt like a sack of meat scraps when I looked in the mirror. Literally isn't much left to me, but a bit of extra skin in a couple places.

Thank you so much. I really need to post more. I've just been on the go so much, that I often forget. Trying to give more updates now though. Congratulations on your surgery date! Keep us updated on your progress!

At my goal weight a week away from 7 months post-op
Up until this point I have been very happy with my progress. However, at times I feel like i'm losing too much too fast. I have currently hit my goal weight of 165 lbs.(i'm actually 164 lbs.) and before hitting it, I thought of changing it to 145 lbs. I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and didn't recognize the reflection that was looking back at me, because I hadn't taken the time to really really look at myself before today. Anyone else going through this? RNYGB SD: 6/25/2018 HW: 300 LBS. SW: 246 LBS. CW: 164 LBS. GW: 165 LBS.

6 week post-op update
I actually need to update them. I'm at 169 lbs. now. I'm currently wearing a size 10, but I will be needing a size 8 probably before the month is over. I'm 4 lbs. from my goal weight. I think i'm going to try and go down to 145 lbs. instead.

19 lbs. To go!!!
I just can't reiterate enough on how glad I am that I decided to have surgery[emoji847]!!! My journey started in June of 2017, that's when I decided to go with the gastric bypass. I had to wait for a whole year before I actually had surgery, due to not being able to keep my weight down??♀️. I finally had surgery in June 2018 and it has been the best decision I could have made to regain control of my body and my life. I thought it would take close to a year, to get near my goal weight. However, to my amazement i'm only 19 lbs., away from my goal weight now[emoji1495]♀️!!! Since my journey began up until now, I have lost 113 lbs.! I have noticed that my metabolism has sped up and I now have to have about 5 small meals through the day. My food digest's really fast now and i'm okay with that. I'm so happy that I can be active and do things that I haven't done in many years. It feels awesome to go shopping and not[emoji1496]♀️ have to go in the plus sized(goodbye size 26) section anymore (Hello size 10)[emoji1494]!!! RNYGB: 6/25/2018 HW: 297 LBS. SW: 246 LBS.
