  1. Tomorrow morning can't come fast enough! Surgery is at 9am and I am overly excited for this new chapter in my life to begin. I have put in hard work to make it to this point. I am taking time to actually try and relax today and keep my anxiety down, but it's hard too keep calm!!!

  2. Hello everyone, this is my first time here or any kind of support group for this major step in my life. My surgery is in 8 days! I have found a lot of resistance and negative comments when I talk about it at work or even family. They tell me "just stop eating junk and exercise." Just don't eat too much, don't take the easy way out." A lot of co-workers and friends and even my husband tell me not to do it...But I have tried everything already, this is my last option...just to become healthy and be able to have a normal life again.
Please give me some hints that I can use to get me through this last week and the strict diet I have to follow. I am having a hard time in thinking I won't be able to follow this diet of just liquids for a whole 7 days!...when I'm so use to steak, chicken Etc...
Also what do I tell this people with this type of comments and how do I keep the negativity away?
Congratulations on making it this far! My surgery is in 7 days and I am super excited. I know how you feel, when you have to hear the negative views and opinions of others. Don't let them break your spirit though. You are doing this surgery for you and not for them. Many people don't realize that it's not about what you eat that causes the weight gain. Emotions, stress, depression and mental well being contribute to weight as well. If the people that view your choice in a negative light can't be happy and supportive of you, then they obviously don't truly care about you. People that care, can see where you have struggled and will do their best to encourage, support and uplift you on this journey.
I wish you much success on your journey!!!

  3. Sounds like the same burst of energy pregnant women get before delivery. Doctors call that a Nesting Syndrome. Can we call this a Renovation Syndrome? You know you are going to get your innards remodeled and you want everything controlled in place. That way you can approach this with Peace of Mind. Remember we are proud of each of you, you are our sisters and brothers in a very special way.
OMG I love it...Renovation Syndrome! Thank you for such a great outlook!

  4. Hey there Twinsie!!! Thank you for the compliments. I am so eager for the 25th to get here as well! I've already started going through old clothes and bagging up things that have gotten too big, so that I can give them away!!! I can know practically run up my stairs and remember not long ago I had to walk one step at a time.

  5. Just had my final pre-op appointment yesterday and I was so stoked when I stepped on the scale and it said 249lbs.!!! I've been tolerating the liquid diet really good, no headaches or nausea. However, I did have a craving to chew some food...I chose to chew up a popsicle instead. I've come to far to listen to my cravings...not today Satan!!!

  6. Never ever give upon yourself, you are your own best advocate, only you can sing your song for no one else knows the words. Even when,it seems the [emoji289]is against you, hold solid to you! You are,the best and hands above average![emoji72]
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I appreciate that

  7. Seems like you are well prepared and oh so ready for this surgery! Good luck and I can’t wait to read your update
Thank you so much! Yes I am super prepared and extra ready!!! I've waited too long to take control of my weight but, luckily I actually did decide to take control for good!

  8. I've been waiting a year to get to a surgery date for my RNY. I'm proud to say I have gone from 297lbs to 252lbs on my own, over the past year and finally have a surgery date. I'm 13 day says away from surgery and currently doing my liver shrinking (liquid) diet. I've had so many people try and discourage me but, they don't realize the health issues that the weight has caused me. Hopefully this will be a good place of support and positive vibes.

Thanks for listening (well technically for reading lol)
