  1. Hey Alicia! How are the soups going? I'm still doing the clears... I've lost a couple of pounds in the last day or two... liquids in, liquids out!:faint:
  2. Marci - You look great! I'm sooo proud of you for getting to Onederland! Your slideshow is awesome!
  3. Oh Drews! I'm sorry you are having to deal with this knee injury, that stinks! Don't give up! You will be up an going again soon! Alicia - Yes, we must do lunch. I need to get Betsy (the lady that I was talking to in the waiting room) to go as well. I met her through the Weight Managment Center exercise program. She has been doing the 6 mos supervised diet/exercixe and has recently been approved for the band. She is anxious and nervous about the surgery. I'm sure she would love to pick our brains during lunch and see how/what we eat. I work near Memorial and have a very flexible lunch schedule. Just let me know. I guess I'm gonna do the clears for a while and move onto thicker liquids. Let me know how you do on the Soups. I'll join you on the St. Patricks day challenge... -10lbs by March 17th!
  4. Does your fill doctor remove your previous fill? Is the amount that he removes correct? I had a fill yesterday.. my previous fill was 2cc, the doc removed 2 ccs yesterday and put in 2.5. Could your tubing have a leak? Definitely have everything checked and count calories. Do you get enough solid Protein in a day(chicken, turkey, pork, fish, lean beef, eggs, beans)? Shoot for at least 60 grams. Make sure that you arent eating food that just slides right through (ice cream, crunchy stuff, shakes, Soups, etc) Good Luck! I haop that you figure it out!
  5. Marci - I'm sorry you are having problems. Can you keep liquids down? If you can, deifinetly drink those.Maybe the chinese food and pbing have gotten everything irritated? I'm glad that you are calling your doc. Feel better soon! Alicia - sorry that I didn't get to chat with you more yesterday.. I had my fill with flouro in the radiology department. You get yours in office? I don't know what happened, but Dr. Rose didn't get to the radiology department for our fills until like 4:20... it took me 2.5 hours for a 5 minute fill! Geez! I am now @ 2.5 ccs. He took 2.0 ccs out (which was the amount of my last fill), so I'm glad to know that I don't have a leak or anything. He just said to keep doing what I'm doing, that I am doing really great. How are your Clear Liquids going? I don't want to do all 3 -5 days of clears, but I might have to, seems like I'm pretty tight with the swelling and all. How much fill do you have? I was great meeting you... you look great. Keep up the great work! Go Maysters!
  6. Wow Ladies! Brenda and Puddin you both look B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! I've been plateaued for a couple of months, get my third fill today. I want to thank you guys for re-inspiring me. I've been kinda down the last few weeks and haven't kept up with all the threads on here. I'm sooo glad that I caught up on this one. I've got about 65 - 70 more pounds to lose before I can think about PS, but I know I will need it. Thanks again for being so open and sharing your experiences and pics! Puddin - I can relate to the being behind on the dating thing... I'm 35 and have never really dated. I've always been the fat, funny, invisible friend. You know the one that all the guys consider to be a "buddy"? It is amazing how dropping 94 pounds has made me less invisible. Problem is, I'm not sure how comfortable I am being visible. I gotta work through it. It is great to know that I'm not alone in this. Thanks again!
  7. Hey guys! I haven't been around much.. been trying to help out with my ailing grandmother and I've not really had much to update on... waiting on my fill today. I've lost a couple more pounds lately but I'm able to eat too much too fast. Drews - hope your knee is doing better! Marz - Glad to hear that your nephew is recovering well. Lapbandit - Congrats on onderland! I hope to be there in the next couple of months! I still have a hard time thinking that I will ever see 1** on a scale. I've been in the 2** since elementary school! Alicia - can't wait to meet ya today! Are you ready for you fill? See you around 2:30.
  8. My cocker spaniel, Krissy is called - Boo Boo, Boo, sweetie, pookie, Krissy-mas, and when she's bad Krissy Noelle (her full name- I got her for Christmas in 1993). My dog Daisy (mixed breed that I rescued from a very irresponsible neighbor) was named "Big Foot" when I discovered her. I didn't know her name so I started calling her "puppy puppy". Now we call her (and she answers to ) Daisy, puppy puppy, puppy, Big Foot and Fat Girl.
  9. I too am saddened by her death.. she was kinda trashy, kinda sweet, kinda crazy. She was like a train-wreck that you can't stop watching. I found myself rooting for her and feeling that under all the make-up, the glitz, the glamour, the scandals, the money she was just a sad woman trying to make the most of her life after meager beginnings. I read this on CNN a few minutes ago... In an interview with The Associated Press, Rale(her attourney) said Smith had been sick for several days with a fever and was still depressed over the death of her son. Meanwhile, "Entertainment Tonight's" Mark Steines, the last person to interview her, told CNN that Smith had to be placed in an ice bath Tuesday after her fever reached 105 degrees. Her fever came down, Steines said, but on Wednesday she slipped and fell in the bathtub. When Stern and her nurse went to check on her, "she seemed a little bit out of it" but didn't appear to have suffered any significant injuries, Steines said. "That led to yesterday," Steines said Friday, "when after taking a nap, I believe, she never came to and never woke up." God Bless Anna! I hope Dannielynn will be a happy, normal child raised in a loving environment. RIP
  10. The Budweiser "Dalmation" ad. Sooo cute. The Rock-Paper-Scissors was funny too.
  11. Myra - I asked my friend about his ashta - he takes Advaire (sp?) and keeps his puffer handy. Good luck with the exercise!
  12. Myra - sorry to hear about the EIA. A friend of mine has that as well. I need to ask him how he handles it... so far it hasn't stopped him from playing basketball, running on the treadmill, etc. He is very active. Get to that doctor girl! Janey - Hope the fill went well! WOW 131 lbs! I had more than that to lose. Just think when we are both at goal, I will have lost a whole (and then some) Janey! You go giril!
  13. Update from Marz: Thanks to everyone who prayed for me in the last week due to the death of my sister and nieces. We buried them on Friday. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Over 1000 people attended, people were standing outside the church because they ran out of places to let them stand inside. It was a beautiful service and a wonderful tribute to 3 dearly loved girls. My sister was only 28 and her girls were 5 and 3. My nephew is doing okay. He should be heading to Denver at the end of the week to begin rehab. He'll be 9 on the 17th of Feb. He isn't talking much yet, just a few words and he hasn't asked about his mom or sisters yet. Keep praying for him to recover and for my BIL to have the right words to explain the accident to him. If you'd like, you can go to www.npberean.org and click on the link HASTINGS FAMILY UPDATE. Thanks for letting me tell you how much they mean to me. During all the grieving last week, I did lose a few more pounds. I am at 71 pounds lost and just 5 lbs from my Feb goal. That is one of the few things that makes me smile right now. I found myself in baggy jeans all week and a baggy skirt for the funeral. I am almost in size 18 bottoms. They are tight so I'll wait for a few more pounds to wear them.
  14. Oh Marz! They were sooo beautiful! Again, I am so sorry. If there is anything at all that I can do to help you and your family, please let me know! My thoughts and prayers are still being directed towards your family. I pray that your family and your brother in-law will have the strength and knowledge to help your nephew in his recovery and while dealing with the loss of his mother and sisters. Again, if I can do ANYTHING, plesae let me know.
  15. Thanks Drews! Pads and skates? Awesome! Good luck with the fill! I'm jealous because I have two more weeks to wait it out and stare at that damn unmoving scale!
  16. Okay- I've been wondering about 3loves (Michelle) a lot lately. Has anyone heard from her or Palladin? I hope they are well!
  17. NYKEE!!! So great to see you posting here on LBT again! I've thought about you often! Congrats on being down 100 lbs! Keep up the great work and keep posting!
  18. URRRRR!!! I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!!! I saw 225 for a couple of days, now the scale has been stuck at 226 for two weeks! I NEED THAT FILL! Elliptical - GO MYRA! You'll get there. Before long you'll be up to 30 minutes! Keep up the good work! Drews - I'm sooo excited for you about the roller derby! You are gonna kick butt! That will be awesome exercise and you get to slam people around to take out your frustrations. Right now I'd like to take a sledge hammer to my scales.. this is starting to depress me! Been on TOM last few days so my band has been really tight. I've been eating like a bird, and STILL NO WEIGHT LOSS! URRRGH!
  19. Well Myra - here's to a rounder, sexier girl butt! I carry ALOT of my weight in my belly too.. It's getting smaller, but still huge. I still get a "muffin top" if I wear jeans too tight. And I hate having a "muffin top"!
  20. Congrats on joing the gym Myra. That's half the battle! I hope you will really start to enjoy the exercise, and I know you'll feel a lot better because of it. I find the biggest battle for me is actually dragging my butt there. I am often tempted to go home after working all day, but my conscious (sp?) wins and I wind up going to work out. Once I get there and get started I'm always glad I went. Are you going to have someone at the gym who can help you get started? Good luck! Oh and try the elliptical machines, they are wonderful. When I first started out I could only do about 3 minutes on the elliptical, now I'm up to 40 minutes. It's a great cardio workout, and I swear it has help to re-shape my wide, flat butt into a rounder, thinner one! Drews - I hope we get to meet someday.. ever go to Vegas? Thats about the closest I get to Colorado these days.. I used to go to California a couple times a year because my best friend lived out there for several years. We are planning a trip in June/July to Vegas, and I can't wait! Later Maysters! Keep going!
  21. Alicia - Yep, I work just down the road on Dodds Ave. I think Dr. Rose is hard to talk to as well.. plus I never see him except at fills. I always see Angel or Gina. WOW! I didn't know she had kids at all! College age? No way! Can't wait to meet ya!
  22. Alicia - Oh My Goodness! We're finally gonna meet! That's when I scheduled my adjustment for the other day! Really its at 3:00, but gonna weigh in around 2:30 on the 13th. I love Gina don't you? She and Angel are both so nice, and they are always very encouraging to me. I'm sooo glad you asked about the diet, because those clear liquids for 3 - 5 days kill me. I can handle anything but that. Well, I definitely need the fill, seems like I can't get enough to eat. I'm trying to watch my calories, carbs, fat, etc, but I WANT TO SNACK. TOM isn't helping either. Hey Ousooner! Good to hear from ya! Sorry about the PB. I haven't done that yet and hope not to. I've been "stuck" a few times but it always seems to go down. Keep Posting!
  23. Hey Myra Well- Alicia and I have the same Doc (Walter Rose In Chattanooga). He has the most stringent after fills diet I've seen. It sucks, but I follow it. That's why I'm dreading getting the fill. Yep, Drews.. the snacking is killing me! Congrats on the no ciggys. You are doing great!
  24. Well.. seems that some of us Maysters are all stalled out. This can be soo frustrating can't it? I really have a hard time understanding how I can be eating 1300 - 1500 calories a day, drinking 100 oz. of water and exercising for 6 hours a week and not lose weight.... You are right Alicia... they are really slow there sometimes. Please let me know what they say about the post-fill diet. Looks like I'm headed there next month, though I had hoped to not have to have another fill anytime soon. I HATE the post fill diet. It is really difficult to do the 3-5 days of clears, 3- 5days of full liquids, etc.. My boss jokes that the after fill diet is why I'm losing the weight, not the band. He kinda has a point there... Drews - Hope the fill gets you going again. Have you noticed an increase in the amount of food that you eat? Are you hungry between meanls? I've noticed that I want to "snack" a lot in the evenigs and between meals as of late and can put away more food. What is your post-fill diet like?
  25. Myra - so sorry to hear that you are having port issues, but I'm sure the revision will be a peice of cake for you. Good Luck! Linda - well, that sucks! I'm sorry that your hubby's job is stressing you out so. I know that the best thing for your family will happen, always have faith! God Bless, and I'll be praying for a good resolution to your delimma. Missy - I eat in the same range of calories as you, but my weight loss is stalled. This is soooo frustrating. Guess I'll just really try to restrict what I shove in the old "pie hole" until I can get my next fill on Feb. 13th. Keep up the great work!
