    Wow at 3 months 1000 calories A day would have killed me. Heck I have not reached that yet and I am 10 months RNY post op. My daily average is 750 to 800 calories, Protein 75 -80g, Water 95 -110 oz,
    I exercise 2 + hours daily swimming laps, step aerobics. Yoga I don’t count because I do it just before bed a great relaxation tool I learned.

    Definitely call your nutritionist. Don’t be embarrassed they deal with this issue all the time.
    It would probably be a good idea to not drink your calories. People don’t think about the extra calories that go in there drinks with all the mixers that are added. You may also not be realizing how much snacking you are doing while “social drinking”. You are talking and listening and snacking without even thinking .

    my councilor who I still see today had me write up a small poster to place on my fridge it says:
    Thinking before you open this door:
    Are you angry?
    Are you thirsty.
    Are you tired?
    Are you upset?
    if you answer yes to any of these questions don’t eat anything at that time. Walk away with a bottle of Water and think why you said yes.. Work through the problem.
    it actual works. I’ve walked away from food so often after reading this poster.

    I had my RNY on 2/12/2019. I had already lost 160 lbs in 11 months pre op. I am now 195 lbs a little over 10 months post op. I started at HW: 474. (1/2018). SW: 314. (2/12/19). CW: 195. 12/22/19. GW: 160-170
    i love this new life and work very hard everyday to keep going. I have adapted a great exercise plan I love and I eat the same thing almost every day. I don’t have many foods that agree with me anymore. I don’t have any regrets at all. In fact I would not be this successful if I had done surgery before I did.

    I would be cold all the time. Right now it’s in the 70s and I’ve got a long sleeve t shirt and a sweatshirt on.

    How many people who have not had surgery and have never taken any nutrition classes know everything about what I am and am not allowed to eat.

    How much my bones would stick out.

    How bad my butt and tailbone hurt after only setting for 10 minutes.

    Are you on the blood thinner shot? I was on blood thinners and they took me off of them 6 days before surgery and I had to give myself blood thinner shots 5 days in a row. The no shaving rule was one of the things they told me. They gave me the shots the morning of surgery and daily until I was discharged.

    I didn't realize I would take SUCH joy on seeing a number on a scale. I NEVER once imagined I would ever see these numbers!
    I didn't realize I would ever become a fashion slave. I LOVE clothes. I ADORE shopping at Goodwill for SIZE 8s!! (Am I yelling? Cuz it feels like I am!)
    I never realized I would feel confident and "great" in my outfits!!!

    Congratulations. Life happens when we are planning other things. Like others have said follow your nutritionist, and doctors orders . You will probably be placed in the high risk pregnancy category but don’t stress about it.

    Be safe and if you feel off no matter what follow your instincts. You know your body no one ease can tell you how you feel.

    My surgery was 2/12. I am in the soft food stage. I tried an egg on the first day I started soft foods ( I wanted to die). My main Protein sources are ground chicken, ground turkey, fish and yogurt plus my every day 4 oz Protein Shake. When I started the soft food stage I was so excited to eat something not liquid and purée, but I still have days I would not mind it again. I can eat 1/4 c of what ever I’m eating. I am cleared to start eating raw fruit and veggies. I had a slice of seedless cucumber yesterday and it went well. Today I will have a cherry Tomato with my lunch. Just keep trying. My nutritionist has a great rule that I have used. When you eat something and it upsets you or causes the day long “ I want to die “ feeling the next day go back to a few Protein Shakes and full liquids. I’ve used it now 2 times in 2 weeks it helped. Everyday is a new lesson we learn with our new stomach.

    You can take in more Soup because it’s a slider food . It goes in and right out fairly quickly. I could only get about 1/4 of a cup of soup down .I had my RNY on 2/12/19 so I’m only a few weeks out from you. I found that cream of wheats had to be very watery. And of course because we eat so slow the cooler they get the thicker they get. If you try them again thin them out a lot more by using your milk it adds more Protein, and add a little nutmeg or cinnamon for taste. That pain will remind you to eat very small bites and slowly.

    why not a healthy sub? I say "healthy" cuz um, depends who you're asking! Why not get some of the low carb strawberry Greek yogurt (on your plan) and add a squeeze of sugar free Hershey's chocolate Syrup to it?

    I would get my HEB Plain Greek Yogurt and Walden Farms Strawberry pancake Syrup and the SF Hershey's and go to town with "dessert"! And say, better living through chemistry as I shoveled it down my piehole.

    My delay was caused by many blood clots in both lungs. I ended up in the ER than admitted in the hospital exactly 3 weeks before my surgery. I spent 4 full days in the hospital, then when they released me it took about 24 hours to find out I was allergic to the blood thinner they gave me an hour before leaving the hospital. As an inpatient I was on a 24/7 IV heparin drip, no problem. I was switched 2 different times to different medication. They finally decided to put me on warfarin. September 2018 was when this all began. I had to see a hematologist, to make sure the blood clots were not from an underlying clotting disorder. All those test came back negative. What was finally decided was that the birth control my ob/gym put me on 42 days before this happened caused all the clots. I can not have any type of estrogen ever again.
    Everything is on track. My hematologists cleared me for surgery. I am on day 11 of my 14 day liquid pre-op diet. I have lost 110 lbs from March 2018 until my last weigh in on 2/7/19. I have lost a total of 154 lbs from May 2017 I am ready for this and can’t wait to get this transformation started on 2/12.

    I’m a 48 yr old wife, dog / cat mom and a lab technician. I love to swim, knit, garden, and travel with my husband of 26 years. Spring is my favorite time of year.

    I did well durning the holidays. No weight gain, I lost 6 lbs this month so far. My surgery is January 15th . I start my 14 day liquid only pre op diet on December 31. I celebrated New Years with my husband yesterday with my last glass of wine.
    I am not nervous at this point, but I am sure the nerves will show up eventually.

    I got my date. After my first date had to be canceled 16 days before surgery due to blood clots in both lungs . I’ve been waiting for my multitude of doctors to agree it was time. I was told on Friday I could schedule surgery for the end of January. I have to have a CT angiogram on January 3, than see my hematologists on January 8 and if he clears me I am good to go on January 29th.

    If you ore make your shake and jet it set in the fridge the foam / bubbles go away in about 15 minutes. When you mix it up just gently tip the container a few times.
