Cheez its, my little snack
Gretchen Rubin is an author who posts a lot on LinkedIn. She writes about psychological stuff and tendencies. I'm what she calls an "abstainer", meaning that I am far more successful abstaining from things that really tempt me than trying to eat in moderation. She calls people who can do that "moderators". It is very easy for people in one camp or the other to assume the whole world is the same as they are. But that's a mistaken assumption. Abstainers don't have to avoid all temptations, just the ones that they know trigger out-of-control responses.

Cheez its, my little snack
And that's great if you eat the 100 cal bag and are good with that. I won't (and I suspect Jess, as well). One 100-calorie bag just leads to a few more 100 cal bags. I will fixate on the bags in the pantry until they are gone. Most things I can eat in moderation, Cheez Its aren't one of them.

What are your favorite vitamins?
I can swallow anything so long as I can drink with it. Even the huge calcium pills. But thanks for thinking about that!

What are your favorite vitamins?
I'll try those when I run out of Flintstones. I guess I was under the impression that the chewable vitamins were forever to ensure we got the most out of them. But, I'll be happy to be wrong about that one.

What are your favorite vitamins?
Man, I won't even think of taking vitamins at night. I tried once and it was terrible!

Non Scale Victories
I had to buy a seat cushion to use with my computer chair at work. My noassatall disease has completely caught up with me and my butt hurts! It wasn't very fluffy before and now it's downright scrawny!

Awesome Birthday Present
Saturday is my "official" weigh-in day and the day I change my weight on my profile. I couldn't update that without a big squeal of delight, and no-way could I wait until my Annibirthsary to share! (Annibirthsary = wedding anniversary + my birthday + husband's birthday) Since it's a technical term, thought I should explain it

Introduction from a newbie
Congrats on your surgery and glad you found us. The people on this site are very supportive! I, too, am not a sweets person. Broth was my friend. You can even get commercially prepared soups and strain out the chunks. (This is easier when they're warm) Hope this helps!

Really, Buzz, you're waiting 'til August to see what part of Texas you want to live in? Are you insane? You move to Texas in the winter so that by the time summer rolls around it's too much trouble to move again!
