  1. Oh, I bumpted into the cobbler all right! And not into the trash Oh, well, today's a new day - off to add my sins to the confession thread!
  2. My son just made a sausage/chicken/potato bake for dinner and baked a peach cobbler for dessert. I ate my chicken enchilada soup while their dinner was still cooking so I won't be so tempted!
  3. Oh, man! Your face has changed so much! That's awesome!
  4. Are you getting all your fluids? That's really important, more important than the protein at this point.
  5. The third-week stall is absolutely infamous. Just be patient. You're not doing anything wrong. It is discouraging, but totally normal.
  6. OK, I was craving bariatric-friendly Mexican food this week and couldn't find a recipe that grabbed me, so I made this one up. Obviously, you can vary the seasoning/spiciness to taste. This isn't too spicy because I can't handle that right now. Hope you enjoy it!
  7. Can't wait to see a picture!
  8. I think it's easier for us to avoid temptation in the early stages because we just can't handle it anyway, plus we're in the "excited to get started" phase. Once you get back to feeling "normal", resisting temptation will be all on you. While it would be nice to get a lot of support, it just doesn't happen with other adults in the house unless they want/need to lose weight, too.
  9. Showoff! Meanwhile, back at the ranch . . .
  10. Ok, all, I realize that geography is hard, but come on - Mississippi is on the Gulf Coast. It has waves and palm trees and it is definitely not in the Midwest! I'm still fine with going to California, but just had to pitch my 2 cents in
  11. If you have your several cups of decaf with high-protein milk instead of the almond milk, you can "eat" and drink at the same time. Or, if you have a shake for breakfast, most of us don't do 30-30 between various liquids.
  12. Yup! Some things you've just got to experience for yourself!
  13. Just multiply the kg by 2.2. 167 x 2.2 = 367.4 Not a hard conversion to remember. Don't worry about lots of decimal places. This is plenty close enough. Sorry her typo put you in such a sad place.
  14. I think the eating at different times works well. I live with my husband and 3 grown sons. The boys do most of the cooking. Rather than watch them eat dinner, I make something for my dinner as soon as I get home from work. I'm already done and full by the time they put food on the table. I'm still working on getting them to put food out of reach. As far as I'm concerned, they can have the top shelf of every cabinet. They're all at least 6'1", I'm 5'6". Unfortunately, they still leave a lot on the counters. UGH! It's all still a work in progress.
  15. Ice cream is a slider. You won't feel restriction. That's why it's so easy to over-indulge
  16. That was my BEFORE in the army jacket. Wow! You look amazing! Congrats!
  17. I haven't been on the scale yet since my birthday. I'll know tomorrow how badly I get spanked! And my little episode of cheating has all my cravings kicking into high gear. Having to beat them down with a stick!
  18. I was in junior high when we moved to Texas. One of my classmates asked what country Connecticut was in!
  19. What if someone posts a "confused" icon? Or a sad one?
  20. @Sweedfire86 Sig's a beaut! Love his naughty sign @Jingle123423 I love labs! So sweet!
  21. Gorgeous green eyes!
