  1. Our little one looks like she'd be a shedder, but it's more like hair than fur, so she doesn't actually shed much. Yeah! I used to have an Irish setter, on the other hand. Instead of dust bunnies, I called the little drifting "clouds" of hair "dust puppies".
  2. What cuties! The shedding at your house must be outrageous!
  3. And that's what makes this a happy ending. Most of us have the "oh, well, I've already blown it" moment . . . and then proceed to lose our ever-lovin'-minds. Glad you were able to just chalk this up to food funerals and move on!
  4. Well, your little Nervous Nellie is gorgeous!
  5. Wow, it must be hard to feed your kids differently than you eat. How old are they?
  6. Yet one more of those advantages that men have - as they lose fat, their "parts" appear larger, as women lose fat their boobs and booty shrivel!
  7. Great idea, Matt! I had TWO glasses of wine last night when hubby & I went out for our birthdays/anniversary. I had a designated driver and I don't feel guilty in the least. Part of me wishes I had gotten sick though, so that I wouldn't be tempted to do it again Additionally, I had the wine with my meal!
  8. They don't show a pic of the back in the store, but here's the product description: https://store.bariatricpal.com/products/bariatricpal-15g-protein-shots-apple
  9. Thanks for all the birthday/anniversary wishes everyone! My leftovers from last night's meal made 4 lunches for me this week. Woot!
  10. I see what you mean about your waist/hip proportion! Classic hourglass, you lucky girl!
  11. I went thru 2 weeks liquid, 2 weeks puree, 2 weeks soft, then solid. So, no, not all doctors are advancing that quickly.
  12. Except that I've pretty much tried them all and regained in every case. So I'm banking on restriction. I doubt that I eat very differently from you, Creek. I eat oatmeal, quinoa, beans, meats, veggies, dairy.
  13. Yes, that's the Ancho Salmon at Chili's. It was delish! Don't know if I'll be able to get it down when it's microwaved. May just eat it cold.
  14. Birthday dinner! This is my leftovers after I ate! Hilarious. I'll have lunch all week! Ate about 2 oz. of food, but 12 oz. of wine!
  15. I'm the same. Most things I can eat in moderation, even if I like them quite a lot. Other things just set my craving meter to "oh, what the hell"!
  16. People often don't comment when things are going great, just when they have a problem!
  17. Congrats on your surgery. Sounds like you're doing great. Exercise-wise, you're just one of the lucky ones, enjoy! Don't go skydiving or anything, but so long as you're being reasonable, great! Some people have no problem with liquids, others do. Same with hunger.
  18. Just one more example of how different our bodies are. We've all got to find what works for us.
  19. Glad to hear your surgery went well and you're on the mend! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
  20. I was quite successful with Atkins as well until I started to wander from the true path
  21. You're lucky to have found each other
  22. I agree, something is flawed here. For what it's worth, back in the 80's or 90's Weight Watchers had a fat-and-fiber stage. The plan was very low fat, at least XX fiber (I don't recall the amount). Other than that, you could eat pretty much whatever you wanted. I gained weight on that sucker. Fat isn't my temptation. It's salty/crunchy like pretzels, many of which are fat-free. I was in heaven, except for the whole gaining weight thing.
  23. Everyone's different. Do what you can. 30 minutes a day is great.
