Yes guys can be D-Bags at the gym! Either they think their all big badass’s or they stand there and just stare at you like lost dogs. Every time I’m in the weight room I enjoy yelling at guys for be D-Bags! LOL!

Anyway, a personal trainer can be very helpful. They will hold you accountable and help you with everything you need!

Honestly to tell you the truth...I was completely against weight loss surgery for years! In my profession I always thought with hard work and dedication...you can lose weight! Well that’s BS!!! Cause I can gain all the muscle in the world but I also gain fat too. I can work hard and lose weight, but I can NEVER keep it off. I realized I have an eating problem. A problem that my knowledge and skills can’t fix. So I decided I needed help. So I looked into Bariatric surgery and decided that it’s an amazing opportunity for me to help me with my eating problem. I will be able to lose the fat Iv been packing on top of my muscles and keep it off. I can be healthier and live longer! I’m am now 100% for Bariatric Surgery!

So I joined this Bariatric Pals Community thinking that it would be awesome to talk and fellow people that are going through the same thing as me. But for some reason I find it hard to join in on the conversations. I feel like I’m butting in on other peoples conversations. Like who’s this newbie trying to talk to us? Does anyone else feel that way? Or is it just me? Because Im definitely not that way in person. I’m always talking to everyone around me no matter who it is. But for some reason I feel differently on this.

I start my second week of the “Liquid Diet” tomorrow. My surgery is April 11th! Bright and early at 5:30am!

Yesssssss everything you Said I can relate to so much. I have worked in the health and wellness field for 5 years but I am also a registered nurse. I have a 7 and 14 year old and I need this, I want to be around a long long time for them.. thank you for everything you said because it really hit home......

I felt the same way. RNY is great for people who have certain health concerns, but for me it felt too complex, too scary. The sleeve felt simpler, and came with slightly less long term risks. I know that RNY typically has faster weight loss, but my nutritionist said the balance out around the second year.

And that you have the maturity and wisdom to have studied, weighed the options and chose the right thing for YOU personally.[emoji106] And now forward to your surgery, your Date of Destiny and the start of your brand new life[emoji13]

Hello everyone. I just stumbled across this website as I was doing my normal “bariatric Surgery” google search that I seem to keep doing. And thought to myself, what a great place to be! Well, the first week is almost done. I have to say the first few days SUCKED!!! But now everything seems to be getting a little better. Amazingly I’m dropping weight like crazy! I had a doctors appointment last Monday and weighed 475lbs...Today I weighed myself and I’m down to 443 lbs.
I’m drinking 4 Protein Shakes a day (Max Muscle Pro Elite w/ Unsweetened Almond Milk) and eating my 3oz’s of lean meat at night with 2 1/2 cups of salad with fat free dressing. Then drinking about a gallon of Water on top of all that.
I see my surgeon tomorrow for my I guess pre-surgery check in. Hopefully everything is going good.
Then another week of this diet and BOOM! Surgery! I’ll go to sleep and wake up a new man!
