How long was you in the hospital after gastric bypass?

I had my RNY surgery on May 15th at 9:30 am .on Tuesday and went home on Wednesday the next day at 11:30am. I was up walking after surgery at 2pm on tuesday.just kept walking all around the hospital wing. Yes it's true it all depends on your Doctor . Good luck .
  2. I had my surgery on May 15 th.my start weight was 265.surgery weight 235 .current weight 213. I don't think I'm losing a lot of weight but my clothes size is dropping.my pants from 3x to 16/18 shirts 3x to large. I guess you can see it in my clothes.my rings are getting loose.had my ring on for 15 years and it finally came off.trying to go to the gym 4 to 5 days a week.thanks for listening.keep posting on your progress.

    When to stop eating?

Hi, remember 30-20-30 don't drink anything 30 minutes before your meal and make sure you time your meal to 20 minutes and don't drink 30 minutes after your meal. If your feeling hungry you may be wait to long to eat.might try eating 6 small meals a day. Make sure you get your WATER and PROTEIN in. between your meals. I have sugar free popcycles or sugar free jello if I'm hungry in between my meals. Sometimes your brain is playing tricks on you and that's why you think your hungry.just follow your stomach.it will tell you when you had enough because you will get a dumping syndrome if you over eat.and you won't do that again. Good luck . it's all trial and error
  5. Hi, I had my gastric bypass in May 15th 2018 . I'm still in soft food stage and I can't eat more than half of cup of food.my mind thinks I can but my stomach tells me your full.just remember every buddy is different we all heal in our own time.after surgery take time to heal your body has been through alot.make sure you keep drinking water and protein .my weight is slowly going down. I've lost more in inches than weight.now I'm hitting the gym more to try to lose some weight. Before surgery I didn't think negative thoughts only keep thinking I can do this. I only stayed in the hospital for one day because I wanted to go home and feel relaxed.and let my body recover. Just keep yourself busy and you will be fine .before you know it your day will be here .and your new journey will begin.that's what you've work so hard for. DON'T STOP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF. I wish you good luck and best wishes.

I need to make a decision

I read your post and you give me so much inspiration . I had gastric bypass surgery on May 15th 2018 . I am a widow of 3years married for 37 1/2 before my husband closed he's eyes forever. I think my decision was right for me. I'm no longer diabetic off of all insulin and pills. Waiting for my liver to repair it self. My highest weight was 265 in Jan.2018 My surgery weight 235 in May 2018 Current weight 217 June 29 2018 I fell line I should be losing more.my doctor upped my calories to 1000 a day.so hard to meet it not but hungry. I hope you all the success in your surgery and I hope you live a long long life. [emoji171] Sent from my Z982 using BariatricPal mobile app
