    I feel so down

Thanks! It’s awesome that you are seeing good changes!

Rash all over my upper body !

I got a rash too. But I left the hospital with it, they think I had a reaction to the sticky film they cover your belly with when they do surgery. Mine stayed with me for two weeks...all gone now. I was sleeved May 14 and I am happy to say that I am almost in Onederland! Weighed in at 200 lbs this morning! I was 250 at Christmas, 232 when I began my pre-op diet and 226 the day of surgery...color me happy!

    I feel so down

I think a pound a day is fabulous! Take a picture of your face, then take one in a week. You will freak at how different just your face looks. Mine looks like it shrunk! Good luck and take heart...you are on an amazing journey.

    Any MAY sleevers???

I am sorry you are not getting the care you need from your nutritionist, that must be very frustrating for you. I just want to say that Oprah is not a good source of information on diet and nutrition, and certainly not for anything concerning real science. The truth is you will not change your metabolism forever unless you burn out your pancreas and it doesn't produce insulin anymore. Humans are built for homeostasis, which means our bodies naturally try to compensate for the things we do to it. It always tries to go back to default settings. You are fine, your metabolism will not go in reverse. Think about it this way...when humans were only hunter gatherers we often went long times without protein and most of human existence was agrarian, where we ate mostly what we grew. You are going to be fine. Do the best you can, think of food as fuel, pay attention to your body, trust yourself, put as much wholesome food into your body as you can and don't forget to hydrate!

    Any MAY sleevers???

I’m happy for you! My program won’t let me have beef for 6 months! But going to soft foods from liquids will be very welcome!

    Any MAY sleevers???

Not even comparable and I've had both. Gallbladder surgery made me nauseous on the way home from the hospital. But I did just fine with my C-sections. This is nothing compared to C-section recovery, which is way, way worse in my opinion. You've got this!
  8. Yes! That yo-yo is exactly why I got my surgery
  9. Zoftig_Girl

I swore it wouldn't be me

Did you try protein water? That might help, also maybe take super small sips.

Wow! That seems like a lot of time. But I know everyone has a program designed just for them. Congrats! You are almost there!

Thought I would start a thread for a specific surgery date. Sometimes the threads get too long to navigate. CW 230 GW 150 BMI 38 5’5”

    5/14 Roll Call

I've created a secret facebook group for May sleevers. In order for it to be secret I can only add "friends" or I can add people using their email. So if you are interested you can either post your email or DM me with it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/210152776255190/ Another suggestion was to change the group name and make it closed so that it is searchable, then once members have joined change it to secret. I am just not comfortable with the world knowing about my surgery.

done! I'm not sure, but you may have to respond to an email. Sorry for my ineptitude. I have never created a secret group before.

That's a great idea! Or I can add people using an email address.

Actually, I am wrong the group has to be "closed" first then changed to secret otherwise you have to be "friends" first to be added to the "secret" group. The thing is I don't want my VSG public

You have to cut and paste the url because this site disabled it...can't blame them.
