  1. Don't you hate it when people(especially your mother) talk the talk but fail to walk the walk when they could be of use? Well, on behalf of all the other Mamas of the world, I will apologize! Perhaps we will resind her Mother Union membership. ??
  2. Funny, sideeye, but my ortho pointed out the same thing, said " it wasn't as noticable when you were heavier!" Sorry Dr D, but I am going to lose more, too bad about your? eyesight, you are the right age for b?focals anyway. ??
  3. Same reason i drin,k Nestle Splash calorie free flavors, plain water tastes bitter, kind of like what i think bile tastes like. IDK why,but it has almost since my surgery 7 months ago.
  4. Girl, you do need see someone even if a free or nearly free clinic. You're gonna end up in the hospital I did for malnourishment and protein anemia. Ended up being fed 12 hours a day through an arm vein even after I went home, 3 months until it was discontinued. Grateful I'm still alive but what a path I have traveled!
  5. Slowly, smoothly, day by day you'll heal and find your way to your New Normal! And it is such a incredible place to be!???
  6. It's still Wowsers from me! Silly Kitty is now a smooth sleek Feline. Thanks for letting us see the transformation from a round Lap Cat to the Feline on Vacation you were!
  7. And tomorrow for #12. after I return home from my EGJ,not feeling real good and slightly sleepy, I plan to watch "Murder on The Orient Express", Agatha Christie wrote very good books I always liked Hercule Poirot!
  8. A gree and now with the rolls etc gone I have a neck like a tortoise or ?. I'm sure the last time I was this weight I didn't look like this, but maybe the memory had faded, it was a LONG TIME AGO!
  9. Proud Proud Proud of your success! I couldn't believe it,my last new jeans are 22, the dress slacks and top I am going to wear to my EGJ tomorrow is a bono fire 20, after starting out in 28-30W, and. "do you have anything in the Mens section because I'm not finding much here" My baby NSV, I am now In ladies, heading to Juniors, no more cross- shopping looking for something to cover my body! I would "cry for happy"except there is so much better selection the smaller I go and I don't want to miss a durn thing hanging or folded there!????The baggy saggy sweats are going Bye Bye! The body may be still above average but then so am I! After all, average is just as close to the bottom as it is the top. And if I am a little Odd, well Number One has always been. an ODD Number! Power to the Less Plump Princess, I'm gonna be Weight Loss Royalty#?
  10. Time moves On, so did YOU and now there is a refined YOU under construction. You may have to remove a few crooked nails before things are done. Glad everyone is On your team now. She And was preferring the old Status Quo to all the upsetting things and changes you were making. Guess some people are just that way!
  11. You invested in YOU and what better time and investment! You are in charge now of your own future. So proud of you --Dina!
  12. Well the books said so, but isn't it neat to find out out for yourself! LOL and cheering you on!?
  13. Think I have been doing this a long time, Tomkitten is on a Normal Person diet plan but Baby I sure am not! Only one meal in 5 do we converge much, otherwise I feed him and try to fix something else MS Precious Pouch will not regurgitate. Tomorrow is EGJ #10 or so, let's hear from Dr Noria the current state of my innards. Ulcerations still or healing? Pouch, less swollen, less red, ready to grow up, get destenosed and act like a Normal 7 month old Gastric Pouch? Last emesis was this Monday, tried to furthering diet, P.P. said " Oh No You Don't!" and enforced her statement with offending food" Up And Out". Few of family members used to say I was bratty ?but I sure was a miniscule level compared with a turkey egged sized piece of gastric flesh. Every time I think she is going to honor our truce agreement, she starts up more hostilities. I used to bemoan the fact I had been not blessed with siblings, no more, she can be worse than a bratty baby brother, I believe. But I live in hope, and still losing weight, one scale said 233.1, one said 229.5, of course I love the second more, so a long way from 365+ where I started out, but never did I expect the road to there so bumpy and twisting. That makes me about 30 pounds away from Valerie the CNP goal for ME, but inside I WOULD STILL like to try for my Dream Goal of 175, can't I at least try? Best thing will be: Precious Pouch has to come along there with me, unless Drs Needleman and Noria excise her, SHE'S MY HOSTAGE! Makes the struggles I've been threw and chance for revenge on her a little sweeter!❤????
  14. My "I didn't realize" was that I would lose so much of my face. I expected body and skin loose places, after all I had been increasingly obese over the years, but my cute puppy face has become more like an aged bloodhound, and somehow i don't expect a call from Search and Rescue in the the near future to find anyone. I think my skin tone is off, Tomkitten says " Mama, you're still as beautiful as ? ever!" Of course at his last opthamology appointment they did fit him with his first pair of glasses, so maybe I can't trust his assessment? But I'm keeping on, muttering under my breath " It is what it is!" So far only a few assorted children run at the sight of ,,, me and maybe I didn't want to be friends with them anyway! ?????
  15. And I hope you do find the right Doctor to help you through the rest of the journey. You have worked so hard already, you need the reward your surgery would give you!
  16. Well let's hope it all straightens out, give yourself a brief pause and then try again.
  17. well Well congratulations are in the order for you and your Aunt, I hope things will go very well for you. Sometimes a rocky start will make for a smooth finish, let's hope it's that way for you.
  18. Day#1 What do I like about me? Probably the same things that irritate others, stubbornness, strong and resilience. I don't agree to everything others ask me( reformed from being an doormat for my family) but if I make a promise, I move Heaven and Earth to fulfill it. And I am compassionate, especially to animals. I cannot stand to have one be in pain, you don't want me to visit our local no-kill Cat Shelter, I might return with pockets full of kittens! There are few things in life cuter than kittens and puppies, and everyone there is looking for a 2nd chance to have their Forever Family.
  19. And small world after all, Colchester is among the cities I'd like to visit if I ever made it to the UK.
  20. Amen Frou Frou! And I apologize for her insensitivity and please don't let her Mar a beautiful surgery and a wonderful recovery period. She seems envious of 2 ladies who are commited to their religion and have pride in the external trappings as well. I have friends of your religion along with my many Christian and Jewish ones, and each has enriched my life greatly. There is No Room for such actions in a caring profession like nursing. She shames a beautiful profession by her actions!
  21. I hope the guy with that matter one finally got his act together.Even notice how our New Years Resolutions seldom Chang?
  22. I c was on BCBS Arkansas when I worked at Wal-Mart, lo these many moons ago.
  23. And I probably will never receive them again. You see I developed an. lovely gastric ulcer on Omeprazole thearpy, Advill tried to eat a hole in me., nearly succeeded- that's why I am on Dexilant, a different PPI, their Omeprazole was not gastroprotective in my case. Now I still am on Carafate 6am- noon- 6pm- midnight into perpetuity, or it at the least feels that way.
  24. And our Aussie cousins seen to move even much faster than the US. Wonder how long National Health Service in the the UK and the rest of the Commonwealth take?
  25. Precious Pouch hates cottage cheese and Greek yogurt, and they along with peanut butter and bananas, were go- tos before my surgery.
