  1. Since I've been off work for a few I figured now is the time to make an appt with new Dr since my insurance changed and can't go to the Dr i started with. At about 9:15 am I left a message for the bariatric person. I haven't received a call back. Not sure if I should try again tomorrow or give them more time before I call again. Thoughts?

  2. You can finance through Care Credit, that’s how I’m getting mine done. Although I was fortunate to find a Dr in my state that does it for 10,000. You may do some research to see if you can find one with that price. I know of Dr’s in Florida, Dallas, and OK. Hopefully some others can chime in if they know of other locations where Dr’s do it for around that price. What state do you live in?
$10k is great! Unfortunately we live in jersey and we never get any kinds of breaks [emoji12]

  3. I'm pretty sure there was one someone quoted in Louisiana if that OP is still active maybe she will chime in. Also Dr Mark Pleatman in Michigan is pretty reasonable.
Thank you. My boyfriend's company changed insurance companies and new one doesn't cover surgery. Do you think he looked into it before doing 7 months with nutritionist? Of course not. I told him to review with their office lets see what we can do. My company is also switching insurance on July 1. Not sure if I should do my 3rd nutrition appt when that office isn't on my plan now.

  4. Not that this would be an issue for you, but just kind of an fyi.... I have Aetna and u cant have any net gain of weight at all during the 6 mos. (I didnt know if you had a chance to look through or see all the specifics.) Idk why, but its my worse fear that im gonna show up to the last of my visits and somehow be like .5 lbs over or something.... lol I'm a worrier.
I did not know that thabk you. So far I've stayed the same with my 2 visits which is aggravating. Now I'll be worried lol

  5. It will be up to the surgeon's office and the insurance company, but it might be possible to transfer the records and have it count. But the requirements could all be different - email the insurance and email the approved surgeon and ask - that way you at least have it in writing.
Good idea. I'm going from Oxford to Aetna. I know a few people who have used the Aetna approved Dr and love him. If I have to start over again, I only did two nut visits so at least I wasn't at the end then had to switch. I just don't want to do seminar again.
