Curious, how'd you come across Lily's dark chocolate chips? Is it considered one of the best with respect to macros?

Appetite suppressors
I wonder if years down the road when the ghrelin starts to come back (sleeve patients) if we'll need appetite suppressants to reduce the hunger feelings again.

Threw it away
I bought a bar at work which is generally my emotional eating crutch. It was a mindful choice as I looked the labels of every single one - even though none where good! - and then picked the one with the most Protein and least carbs. I walked back to my desk, I took a bite, then realized WTF! I don't need this! So I spit out my bite and threw the rest of the candy in the trash! Yay me!! Oh my goodness I'm so sorry for what you are going through. That's just awful for so many reasons. I don't have any advice, just empathy.

- How many times did you have to change your wardrobe?
I bought new clothes far too often. It was just so exciting to keep getting smaller and smaller sizes! I started out wearing a size 22 and a year later I am now in 10's. I'm about 5'7", 151 lbs, 53 yrs old. My Dr and I are very happy where I'm at so I think my wardrobe is staying put where it is. I think thrift stores are a great idea at least for the transitioning sizes, although truth be told I ended up buying all my stuff new, usually at Marshall's, Target, or Kohl's, and on sale. So many clothes to choose from when you get into regular sizes! Good luck and enjoy!- Autistic bariatric patients and psychological clearance
I'm rooting for you that your surgery eventually gets approved. While post surgery life is challenging, the rules are pretty clear - focus on protein and water. It seems to me that if you've proven in the past that you can be disciplined enough to follow rules then that should be good enough to clear you for the surgery. Just my thoughts. Good luck!- BaristricPal store cocktail mixes?

- Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: 1 Year Check In
Had my one year post op appt yesterday. Dr is really happy with my overall progress. A year ago I was morbidly obese and now my BMI is in the normal range. My body fat % was 51% and now it is 34%. The improvement is fantastic but he would still like me to get below 30% which is a healthier range. He says I don't need to lose any more lbs, just need to shift the muscle vs fat %. He says to keep doing what I'm doing - focusing on getting in a lot of protein - and he thinks the % should naturally continue to shift toward less fat. Strength training of course would help too, but he believes that each person needs to tailor their plan in a way that works for them and right now it seems I'm on a good trajectory so I shouldn't need any huge changes in what I'm doing. During my physical exam he said everything looked good, and he even commented on my hourglass figure[emoji126] ...not in a creepy way though. Next appt in 6 mos. I'm very proud of myself! - How many times did you have to change your wardrobe?
