Am I the only one who is counting down the days til my surgery? Mine is March 20th so 25 days til surgery and 11 days til liquid diet! I think I might be anxious haha

Thanks everyone, i have cleaned out my kitchen from junk food and bought healther options. This year is been crazy. Im realize im not alone. I had been gone from this page for almost a year. I didnt realize how much support i needed from other people who have been/are on the weight loss journey. Its not easy. I toom your advise and sat down with the hubby, he has noticed but didnt want me to feel bad, he was not sure how to bring it up to me without hurting my feelings. I am starting a workout video for 15mins today and increase with time. I gonna pace myself.

Thanks guys! I finished my surgery and am home now. Once i got there and they spoke to me one by one and assured i’d be okay my nerves subsided. I was ready to get up and walk in about an hour and a half and actually walked around pretty frequently. worse part was gas pain but the more i walked the faster it went away. Now i’m doing g good just focusing and drinking my fluids!

I’ve hit them too. I just stick to my plan and try and stay away from the scale . Which is hard because it’s become my new best friend and my worst enemy since the surgery.

Glad I’m not alone! Stalled for a week - so frustrating! Trying to drink Water as much as possible. Here’s to hoping we all break through soon!

A little. Maybe not a severe as yours but yes- I’m pretty scared about stretching my stomach.

I'm in the same boat as you and I only can break them by drinking more Water. Please share if you find a way that works for you

I just received the call! I was approved. Waiting for them to call me back to set up pre-op and surgery date!!! I thought this day would never get here.

Hey omg I’m in so much pain [emoji85] I had a hernia which we didn’t know about so got that fixed too just got discharged so I’m resting good at home

Take some deep breaths and try to take your mind off. You’ll go to sleep and wake up a new person (ok after a few hours of gas pain)

Don’t feel by different- just can’t eat or drink much. Otherwise I’d swear they didn’t do surgery hahha

Update: today I hit 289!! I’m so happy [emoji16]

Hi
I had bypass and was super easy with 5 very small incisions (about 1/2 inch). Bypass eliminates heartburn and maximizes weight loss which is why I chose it.

Recovery super easy - gas pain was a bit much for a day or two but then was just learning how to eat slow and in small amounts, liquids etc.

Surgery was great for me- just some really bad gas pains for about 2 hours after surgery. The rest of the time has been sore but nothing that would ever make me rethink. Best decision ever

We seem to be on the same path calorie wise and adding those 100 extra calories did the trick for me, down yet another pound today! I do eat carbs daily but no sugar.

You will be so excited that you did it. Relax- it is worth it!

Hi, doing great! Congrats on reaching wonderland. My weight actually stalled since we last updated on this post but I have increased my calories to about 700 and I weighed myself yesterday and I'm down 2 lbs so hopefully it will continue.
