  1. Try Quest. I got my at GNC 32 servings for $29.00. 24 grams of protein and their banana rocks 100 calories and tasted amazing I’m shocked. Less than $1 a serving. Perfection. Tastes like fresh mashed banana. Yea!!
  2. They say if we want to be skinny eat like a skinny person. Yikes if keep saying that to myself like a mantra I may finally be able to do that. You can do this. All is good.
  3. Just tried quest banana protein powder. Mixed with water was delicious. I’m shocked. Under $1 a serving 24 grams of protein too 100 calories. So gappy
  4. Yes sometime when we sweat our acid in the sweat breaks down the skin. Just bathe that area every day and make sure you dry well. Hope this helps
  5. We can always brine our chicken then it stays moist. If you brine up to 12 hours then rinse well there is little sodium to worry about. Over 12 hours the salt will work its way into the meat to far then too much sodium. Any-who just fyi

  7. I’m in my 4th month of pre op and in June get to see the surgeon. Have to lose 20 pounds. Since 1/25/18 staring weight 257 and today after up and down weighed in at 237.4. Such a relief!! To days ago weighed in at 241 up a pond then yesterday walked 1 hour vacuumed for 25 min and kept calories at 650 and today down to 237.4 Thank God. I didn’t want to post that I was up a pound. Any one else going through this roller coaster of the scale?
  8. Check to make sure you’re using their whey protein isolate the vegan ones don’t metabolize as well. I use their vanilla cream in my coffee

  11. Don’t all of us have an eating disorder. If you have been guilty of yo-yo ing (which I have awards in) lol, then I think it’s not really the food it’s what we want to stuff down emotionally is the cycle we can’t break on our own. Any thoughts ?

  14. When cooking the bones in broth add 1-2tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. This helps release the bone marrow and takes awesome too. Instead of having broth wi 1 gram if protein it naturally creates 8 grams of protein to 1 cup. Checks out the Gaps diet easy recipes for all different broths for our clear liquid phase
  15. Unsweetened Almond milk Silk is only 30 calories for 8 oz and double the amount of calcium than skim milk. The vanilla flavor is great
  16. Do you mix shake with water or milk. I’ve switched from unsweetened Almond milk to water
  17. I have also found out that the Sucralose sometimes causes headaches. So I’ve switched over to Protein shakes that use Stevia instead. Helped a lot.
  18. My doc recommended about 1250 calories a day. I’m 5’4 Hw 257 Cw 239 just finished my 3 month 3 to go before first appointment with surgeon.
  19. Lisinipril works great. Been on it for8 years no more ankle swelling and usually BP is 112/67 awesome
  20. On my first appointment the Doc said aim for 60 grams protein a day. Good luck. I am 4 month into the 6 month pre op diet. Down 18 pounds.
