I have not been on the forum in a while - just much going on - but doing good. Not losing fast now, just floating along and trying hard to step up the exercise a bit more. How are you?

Photos have to be a smaller pixel size for this forum. It is a pickier upload than like myspace or facebook, etc. Keep trying. I am assuming you found the photo book portion to create an album, etc.

Thank you for the nice picture comments and weight loss compliment! I am proud to be at 44 and frankly any loss is a great loss!!! You keep it up, everyone loses at a different pace depending on what they need to lose. Our trip was wonderful, it was a new start with life. Stay in touch!! We all help each other through this.

Hey! I am hanging in there. I had another fill on Saturday (removed .4cc) and now can eat again!!!!! Also lost one pound since then...it had kept me from losing and eating - pure misery - now all is better. How are you???

How have you been doing after your lap-band surgery - assuming you have had it. I had mine on 4-19-08. I have done well, but having some challenging times right now.

Three weeks after my lap band surgery I fell forward down 4 concrete steps and broke 2 bones - the ankle and up on the side of the calf. I am now walking without a boot or crutches and with a slight limp. Getting ready to start back with exercise and walking slowly.

I just wanted to let you know about the Roswell location for fills. Dr. Darlene Zebley is wonderful. You go through FILL CENTERS USA to set up your appt. You pay them via credit card over the phone for the appt. Then you pay Dr. Zebley's office for the fluoroscopy portion of the visit. The first visit totals $595. or something close to that. $200 was the fluoroscopy. After the initial appt, the price goes down to about half of that. Dr. Zebley is continually on-call for you without issue. I have spoken to her on the phone with any issues and am logging issues to share with her when I return which will help her with how much saline to fill my band with. I am much tighter right now than even just after the surgery and it is giving me a lot of heart burn, plus a few issues of re-learning to eat. Mostly I do fine, but still just some discomfort! I highly recommend this place and Dr. Zebley.

Just getting back in town, checking messages....all is good! Exactly 3 weeks after my surgery I fell down some stairs out on my first full photo shoot back to work, only to break my ankle bone and my leg bone. Ouch! So, the boot is my new style and now have been 4 weeks and go back to the doc in 2 more weeks for a recheck. The photos were great! I'm hanging in there, but sounds like you are too! I am thrilled (still) with the surgery. Just can't exercise yet due to the broken ankle and leg bones. But at this point 29 lbs. lost so far. many more to go!!!! --- Get the insurance and go for it!

I'm on regular whole foods. After my fill last Saturday they told me 2 days of liquids, then if okay, progress to reg. food. I had chicken and green beans last night, Cereal this morning. The scale went up one pound today, probably fluids...etc. Basically lost 29 lbs. I can't exercise yet, so hard to deal with. (broke ankle and leg bone) ARGH!

Hey! I'm glad you found me. We live in south metro Atlanta area - my husband's family are from Cave-n-rock, Illinois. I will assume your Clanton family came from around Clanton, Alabama which they are related to our family too. General Clanton settled there and named the town! Tell me more!!!

My weight loss is at 27 lbs. - I had my first fill today - liquids only for 72 hours. I had surgery in Tijuana and fills are with FillCentersUSA. So far so good!

I had my lap-band on 4/19/08 - in Tijuana! My sis-n-law had it with me at the same time. My Dad is having his in Atlanta on Wednesday this week!!

I am very excited that I had the lapband surgery! I have now lost 25 lbs. This is something that is lifechanging and works. Stay in touch and we'll see how we progress!!!

Hey! Welcome to the lapband talk site. I am thrilled with my band and so happy I had the surgery. My biggest issue is last week on the 3 week anniversary of my surgery I fell and broke my ankle and my leg bone. So, no walking for me right now. What a mess. I am hanging in there and hope for lots of loss soon!

I don't mind sharing my experience as I am very proud of it!

Dr. Corvala in Tijuana is my surgeon. Hospital Angeles is terrific. I used World Med Assist and they coordinated all my details for me. You can contact them and they are so helpful and caring. Tell them I gave you their name. I worked with Woeter (Wow-ter) for my surgery. www.worldmedassist.com I booked my own plane ticket, but they will do this too if you need them too. Good luck to you! Best of luck to you! You will do great. I had mine the 19th of April, so far from the pre-op diet to this morning I have lost 16 lbs. You will do good, just follow all doctor orders and walk - walk - walk - walk.

Hello! I did my research online and then by asking others that had been there or gone through the surgery. I am doing very well and am losing weight daily! ---- Thanks for the comments on my name! I have played piano professionally most of my life and started playing at 4 years old. I now play for fun. It is great you are going to be a teacher of music!!!!! I taught privately for 15 years. I was approved by doctors in the USA, but not by insurance. Also, I was approved by the doctors in Mexico as a definate candidate for Lap Band. I will use Fill Centers USA for my fills, they are located in different areas around the country.

I saw you were banded 4/10 and I wanted to check in. I was banded 4/19 in Tijuana! So far, so good. I am sore, just flew back home yesterday. Doing great other than the soreness!

Thank you - this did help! I do know that where my fills are done they always run an x-ray machine to get the port perfectly hit by the needle. That is about all I know so far. My surgery is this Saturday!
