One of my favorite ways of getting Water in when I'm struggling is to use my blender, ice, water, and a flavor enhancer (anything by True Lemon are my favs due to either no sugar or very low sugar content) I make them into kind of a snowcone or slushie. I feel like it's kind of a treat.

I like the Baritastic app. It's simple and geared toward Bariatric patients.

walk and walk and walk!!! my surgery was 7/25 and i had awful gas pains but i just made sure to walk around, even just through the house

Only 13 weeks post OP so here is my take at this point. My health issues are all resolved! No diabetes, no High Blood Pressure, NO Kidney Disease! I do not dread flying for my job now as I fit in the seat and even if a larger person is sitting next to me it's not a problem! Before this was a problem. I am still in the honeymoon phase but I do not miss food and do not have hunger! I am not looking forward to when/if I regain my hunger. That was the most strange thing for me to get used to. Eating was and is a chore with no hunger to let you know it is time to eat. LOL. Also getting to know the "tells" that your body lets you know when it is time to stop eating are interesting. I either get small burps, hiccups, or my nose starts running. It is all good as of now, but I am somewhat obsessed with my diet and exercise. Good Luck!

4 days post op vgs. Other then feeling tired more often I feel great. Still getting a handle on this 1 oz. every 15 mins thing though...

24 hr. liquid. Low carb until then. I got really lucky with the process. Didn't have to do the 6 mon. supervised nutrition.

Hey guys!

Been out of surgery a few hours now and I feel amazing! I’m happier now than I was when I got my approval! My pain is very minimal, I don’t have much gas and what little I do have is not uncomfortable at all. Although I wasn’t able to drink Water earlier I did request it to rinse my mouth and rub it around my gums and surprisingly once the dryness was gone it felt as if I had drank the cup.

@just4nise- nice to hear, glad to hear your Happy Day is coming- just wish they would call with mine! Shouldn't be much longer, one department said today, one July 9, and still a third July 16, wish they would hurry up, I'm not getting any younger!👍😪

Meh, it would have made me go “huh?” Then I would have thought she might have meant it as a compliment (however misguided) then I would have realized it said nothing about me and everything about her. Then it would have been out of my mind and life....no use letting it rent space in your mind.

I'm 5 months post op tomorrow! I finally hit my first major goal of 100lbs down. This is including what I lost before surgery.
I started last January (2017) at 355.2lbs, this morning I was 253lbs! Not sure what my goal weight is yet, as Ive been heavy my entire life, so I don't know what's a good weight for me. I think I'm aiming for the 180's! Just a reminder to trust the process, and enjoy the little NSV's and not just the scale. I had a month long stall last month and I hated it. I tried everything and turns out I wasn't eating enough!

Total loss=102lbs
Loss since surgery= 68lbs (5 months post op)

It may just be from Water or pre menstrual gain (assuming you are a woman)
Try tracking progress in other ways like measurements
The scale does not always reflect all the changes occurring
