Dawn426 reacted to Seahawks Fan in Purée phase, not feeling anything?
I just made some meat spaghetti sauce for dinner. I have a Vitamix Blender & it makes a nice purée out of ANYTHING. I haven’t had a lot of meat at this point but with burger or chicken added it really does hit me like a ton of bricks at the end of a half a cup. My first sensation of being full was (and I’m not making this up) like a small earthquake. I had to pass on the last few bites. I was eating & suddenly it felt like the room was shaking even though it was my pouch saying ENOUGH! I was actually happy to feel it because to that point I felt like you in your above post when you mentioned you weren’t feeling anything. I eat half a cup every 3 hours every day until 2 hours before bedtime. Water has been surprisingly easy & I’ve had no trouble getting in 2 liters a day since a couple of days after surgery. I also get in at least 1 Protein Shake sometimes 2 in a day. I don’t take bariatric Vitamins every day I take bariatric vitamins one day and Calcium the next day. I’ll continue doing this unless my bloodwork says I’m deficient in something. Thicken your meals up or add some meat & let me know what it feels like. I’m curious to know if you get the same sensation/reaction as I did.

Hi I am 2 weeks post ops I lost 20 pounds so far but at a stall for almost a week. Reading how so many people are at stalls within the same period helped me understand its normal thank you.
Since I am new at this I am discovering things for the first time . I am surprised I still have cravings, is that normal?? Nothing like before where it occupies all my thoughts. However, if you have a piece of chocolate near me I feel good having a piece ( won’t have as much thought)
Are craving especially for sweets Normal ? I am having issues with dairies making my Protein Shake an issue to consume. Dairies & fats are making me nauseous. Unfortunately, sugars are not.

I am not drinking any Protein yet. My first step is clear fluids for 7 days ( broth, sf Jello, 100% juice mixed with water) Saturday o get to move to full fluids. Super excited for that step. Cream Soups and yogurt lol sounds like a dream.

I got sleeved on 2/2 as well! I am having a terrible time with my Protein Shakes. My tastes have all changed and all my Protein seems nauseating to me. I’ve been drinking Protein2O Water but it only has half the protein as a shake. Ugh!

Sure. It included two nights in a hospital and then one night in a hotel. There was a valet st the hospital at all times that spoke fluent English. Most of the nurses knew English, some was broken but I never had an issue communicating with them. The hospital was super clean. I was never in any pain while I was there and the nurses were really attentive. There was also always a doctor there on staff. I met the surgeon who spoke fluent English and also the nutritionist who gave me a goodie bag with some Powerade and coconut Water, and broth for the hotel stay. After the hospital, the valet took us to the hotel and took us around Tijuana to see the markets and the beach. We had to pay for the uber to take us there but the valet translated for us and showed us where to go. Also the doctor made a hotel visit to make sure that I was healing okay. Overall they were really attentive and it was as good if not better care than the United States.
