  2. Never had chili powdered ones, did have barbeque ones. Crunchy and not too bad. Always wondered if I had natural, teeth if the crunchy hopper part would get stuck between them. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  11. Creek Imp I'm in Ohio and I even know about Meijer. We don't have one in my town, they closed the one in Newark, can you believe they wanted to remodel and expand, the city fathers fought them because it would encroach on the flood plain, Meijer got p.o.-ed and. left town. That's 23 miles south of here but 23 miles to the north in Ontario, a Mansfield suburb there is one in good shape. Go there when I can get there. Otherwise I'm stuck with Walmart, Krogers and a IGA. Sniff sniff. Have you seen my Change Your Hospital thread? Changes in my tumultuous life. I need all the Bariatric love I can get. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. Hi Guys, a temporary detour in my weight loss journey but I vow it will not be a roadblock. Still trying to make March-April even May although I don't want to wait that long. Anybody that wants more of the story check out my Change Your Hospital posting, I will not let the happenings embitter me. I am the same kakatlady as always, friend to all and a dog gone sweet person, if I do say so. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Update :::I found 3 other programs in my area. Made application to all 3. #3 is in my own town, I would have,to switch to a VSG as they don't yet do RnY. Not certain why but I can't have consult with the surgeon or her immediate staff until April 10, she is a general surgeon -only does bariatric consult Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoons. That program is starting, been up since Thanksgiving 2017. The other 2 are in Columbus, one has informational seminar March 9th, the other March 10th. I'm leaning right now towards the March 9th one but I do want to make sure it is a good fit and if I commit to them --will they commit to me? It is a two-way street, I am weary of. sublimating my will to someone else, for you don't win love or respect that way. I am a little wary after my last experience. I am reminded of a Bible verse addressed to Jesus " are you he whom we seek or shall we look for another?" And thats how kakatlady's world turns today. I still value any feedback any of you may have, still trying to make sense of what happened. P.s. Both #1and #2 have Center of Excellence accreditation, program#3 does not. Also since insurance picked up cost of 1st set of testing would they pay a 2nd set or should I hope all records transfer? This is a game I never planned to play! 17. Lol I'm sure I would have done that exact same thing. My late husband, I woke up one AM, spoke to him, he didn't answer, touched him and he felt cool, I stuck my hand in the back of his briefs and touched his bum. He woke up, oh my did he ever. Good thing I could run faster than him cause he was NOT happy. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Sammi I'm fairly certain I will have a RnY. I have severe arthritis, GERD and Sleep Apnea. If I were younger, I'm 72, and no GERD I probably would seek a VSG. We have veterans on here who have had great success with both. I've studied up on both so feel I'm making an informed decision. I've got to take my morning Dexilant, get up and face my day, but answer back if you like. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  20. I am hesitant to weigh in here but what does one do when they have an opposite reaction to #3? I was seeking surgery, jumped through all hoops my insurance and bariatric practice requested and/or required. Now I am told they no longer desire to perform my surgery. The excuse I was given sounds suspiciously like a professional version,of #3. Since I was given no input as to how this could be repaired or circumvented- I will seek enterance into another program. My ex-program was in a Center of Excellence hospital, my new one will be be also. I am still committed to a future WLS bottom line, I feel the ex program was a waste of my precious time. I am neither a troll nor a spammer, merely a person hurt by the turn of events. 21. You can't put a frame on time, it's like organizing a drill team of earthworms, very fruitless and frustrating. Instead try to face the remaining time until June with a cheerful frame of mind. Get your fluids in, don't forget to also to get adequate Protein and exercise. Exercise doesn't have be a fancy schmansy gym it can be something as simple as making laps --walking inside or outside your house. Smile it will make you look prettier and the confidence will make you fun to be around. You've done a lot and you're going to do even more great things. There are no boundaries unless you impose them on yourself. God Bless Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. Yeah but try to restrain youself in the middle of Mass, resturants and the Metropolitan Museum. Gonna get some stares otherwise. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  25. Hi and welcome sammi123. I hope you will have a successful WLS journey. There are newbies like you, people who are on their way to fulfilling their prerequirements for surgery, ones who have recently had surgery, others who,are veterans and mentor the rest,of us.I have learned so,much myself from them and now I want to help others. I haven't had my RnY yet it was supposed to be early-mid March in Columbus, haver run into a delay, hope to have it fixed soon. Beleve you me ,when it gets straightened out, I'll shout it from the rooftops. So if you have any questions please ask, if I don't have an answer somebody else will. Where do you live? I'm switching programs and have to go to a. Seminar myself on March 9th. I live in central Ohio, I've lived within 60 miles of my hometown my entire life. Let's be friends ,we could end up surgery buddies even. Have a good evening. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
