  1. Every time I eat I get nauseous and spit up foam. I thought I ate slow but I guess not. I take prilosec but it still happens. Just started the puree phase a few days ago ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~

  3. Some notice others dont. Depending on how large you are. Losing 40 pounds when your 250 is noticed easier than losing 40 pounds when you're 500 (me) ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~

  7. I try not to be a hypochondriac but I was doing well on my recovery and after moving around a lot on christmas and then sleeping in my bed ( on my stomach by accident) my incision site is soooo sore. Any time I press on the area gently it feels like its so bruised and the area feels so sensitive. Any suggestions? I'm 8 days out and took the rest of the week off work to rest. ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~

  11. The more you lose the better off you are. Less complications, easier recovery. I lost 20 pounds preop, every bit helps ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~
  12. http://curvylogic.com/pre-op-liquid-diet-gastric-sleeve/ Definitely be careful of the sodium in broths and soups. There are some soup recipes too here: Pinterest... https://pin.it/xef5hyq7u4g67h Make sure all soups are well blended. Mix in unflavored protein powder as well ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~
  13. Do you know what your max out of pocket is for your insurance? You can call your plan and get a rough estimate. Since its a new year your deductible will be reset so you will have to pay that first. But many hospitals allow payment plans too ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~
  14. You can do it. I stayed about 12 hours ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~
  15. My surgeon has me mix mine with a tablespoon or two of unsweetened applesauce. And then chase it with another spoon of applesauce. [emoji171] ~*~Sent via BariatricPal mobile app. Join me on my journey at www.curvylogic.com~*~
  16. Congrats love!! Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. I take HCTZ which is a diuretic to help with my blood pressure. My surgeon took me off post op just becayse the risk of dehydration after surgery but after a few days of bad edema I broke down and took one. Now I'm monitoring my sodium intake very closely since I'm still on the liquid phase and upped my water intake and I'm doing much better. The sodium in broths and soups are definitely a trigger for retention but hopefully I can manage to stay off it. Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. My surgeon also recommends MioFit drops with electrolytes and PowerAid Zero.
  19. My surgery guide also says it doesn't count. But still, pour up! <3
  20. My gas was horrendous and I couldn't release it. The combination of walking and mylicon drops began to help after a few hours. Its most painful in the first day or two, I'm now at day 5 and it only occurs if i take too big a sip.
  21. I was sleeved on 12/19 and was having the same worry until I re-read my preop notes again. My preop counselor advised that the last thing she wants us to do when we come home from the hospital is to weigh ourselves as we would be retaining fluid, hydration should be our main concern - the weight loss will come if we follow our plans.
