    Looking good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Insky67 posted a blog entry in Pass the butter please...
I am now down 56 pounds...three months since surgery adn I am feeling great. Well...almost great! Have since learned that my gall bladder needs to come out! I don't know why it was never checked before my lap band surgery...we could have taken it out then. The idea of surgery again so soon does not thrill me but the pain from the gallstones is AWFUL! If you are considering lap band surgery or are scheduled for it make sure you ask your doc about your gall bladder. So other than that things are going great. I am down 24 inches, 56 pounds and 5 almost 6 sizes!!!

  6. SophieKitty, Thanks for your reply...I do still have my gall bladder. I look up gall stones online and the symptoms seem exactly like mine. Sigh... I will certainly ask about that tomorrow...I never thought that could be the problem. Robin
  7. Hope you woke up today spot free! How u doing?

Glad to read you came thru surgery well! I hope your hunger subsides...I wasn't hungry for like 2 weeks after my surgery. Get your rest!
  9. I don't think it was actually the weight loss the made my headaches go away but the change in my diet. No more soda, and a lot less sugar and carbs.
  10. I need your help and need to know if anyone else is feeling the same pain as me. It started a few weeks ago...I started to feel like I was having back pain. It would just come on suddenly. I could be making dinner, walking around the mall, sitting and watching tv. It hurts right in the middle of my back and in the middle of my chest. What I have since discovered is I don't think it is my back after all. I think it starts in the middle of my chest...in the area where I imagine my band is. It is HORRIBLE pain and it shoots right thru to my back. You should also know I am not eating when this happens. Most of the time it last 15 to 30 mins. I can get rid it most the pain with a heating pad, a very hot bath or medication...advil, aleve and twice it was so bad I had to take one of my left over pain pills. Since it goes away I keep forgetting to ask my doc about it...I am calling Monday after this mornings episode. I just can't keep going thru this pain. Please tell me if you have had anything like this. I thought maybe my band had slipped but when I look up the symptoms of band slippage it doesn't look like what I am having. Thank you for any comments or advice you can give me. Robin
  11. I'd bail as soon as I could!
  12. I have gone from a 24 to a 16 since my surgery and the 16's are getting roomy. I love goodwill and thrift stores. I try to find at least one pair of shorts or pants second hand to save money and I just wear them constantly. When I am at home I can wear the baggy stuff with a belt pulled tightly or things with draw strings. It's a burden I am glad to have!!!
  13. No a single drop fell here...at least I never saw one. We were pretty nervous...this would have been our first hurricane as we just moved here in October.
  14. I do go to their website from time to time, but not as often as this one. Yes, Dr. Jessee is wonderful. I am seeing her now at the new Tampa location. She's giving me a new lease on life!
  15. I have tricare and had no copays. I did have an out of pocket expense of 1200 though for what the surgeon's office called "admin fees" it also included my protein shake mix ...200 dollars for that.
