It's a mind thing. I basically can only eat about 4 bites. I've learned bread is a no. I only drink Water with flavor pkts. No carbonated drinks. Eating slow is the hardest part for me. But definitely do it. Walk everyday. Even if it's in your yard at first. I literally walked circles on my patio at first because I was so out of shape. It's hard for me to eat heavy in the morning so I usually eat special k Protein Cereal with splenda. Have a slice of ham, a slice if cheese and a mini bag of pretzels. I can't eat it all so I make 2 meals of it. Then for supper I eat whatever the family is having but stop as soon as I feel full. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey

Just a thought. Whenever you start second guessing yourself, you allow doubt to play an important role. If you have LEGITIMATE reason to doubt (ie surgeon, hospital, procedure.....), that is one thing. Research it thoroughly before going through with it. If you have doubts because OTHERS have put them there, you let the doubts rule, and eventually they win. Put doubt in it's proper place - out the window. Have faith in your decision. Have faith in you. Take the reins and run with it.

Taylor1959 reacted to Smooter in Struggling with fatigue and lethargy
I agree with the others. It’s rough at first, every physical activity made me exhausted! It passes once you are able to get more Protein in, more substantive foods. I didn’t feel energetic enough to exercise until about week 6. Go easy on yourself. It’s a process and you can’t rush it. Good luck!

Congrats!!! You are doing great! I am glad you have joined us!
I was a size 14 at 233 and a size 8 at 160. I am sure I could fit into a 6 now at 154 but I haven't bought anything new yet.
I think you are close to hitting that under 200 goal!

Congratulations on your weight loss and your 1 year surgiversary! I am exactly 1 year today.
Great advice from these ladies and I finally clued in a couple of weeks ago and started keeping a ziplock bag in the fridge with cucumber slices, red peppers and baby carrots. I still weigh everything that I put in my mouth, even the fresh veggies. The fresh veggies have helped me a lot over the past few days, because the hunger started coming back for me at around 10 months. I upped my calories 1100-1250 a day and didn't realize until a few days ago that that is why I have been at a stall for over 2 months! Why am I such a slow learner? Duh.
Keep up the awesome work, you are almost there!
