    November sleevers here

Progress picture Sunday anyone? Post your progress pics if you want! Would love to see how my fellow Novembers are doing!
  2. Also in MO. All of my costs were included, my psych eval too. I did pay for the initial visit with the surgeon.
  3. “Are you eating enough, you look tired” always makes me laugh. I usually say “yes I had weight loss surgery etc” and I get a resounding “oh....*stops talking*” ☺️

Recipes that are next on my list!

Wonton wrappers are a regular in my fridge. Lasagna cups and taco cups rotate often in my meal line up! Love them! They don’t offer much nutritionally, but the “guts” you put it in should!
  5. TMI response but my BMs have been darker than they were pre surgery and my surgeons office said it was fine.
  6. My surgeons office said 60% excess weight. But I made a personal goal of 130 and I’m only 30lbs away from that after 4 months so I think I’m going to pass with flying colors ☺️ But I can understand a program wanting to be conservative since results of course do vary, as someone already said.

I sucked it up and bought it

64 oz a day as directed guess I just have a system that doesn’t want to cooperate yet.

    Powerade Zero

I lived on Powerade zero during my pre op and early post op. Now I have one weekly or so, I prefer mio drops due to the convenient way to carry and all that.

I sucked it up and bought it

Trying to find the right combo at the moment. I get anywhere from 5-20 g fiber a day, so I have to even that out and hopefully that’ll keep things going! But until then, I think this will make things slightly more comfortable 😂

I sucked it up and bought it

It was slightly more expensive than I thought it would be (a step stool would probably work just as well) but I hope it's worth it!

Feeling like I'm starving on liquid diet

I cried a few times on my pre op diet, which was only a week of liquids so it could have been worse. Personally I thought it was my personal he double hockey sticks but hey. I’m just saying it’s an emotional rollercoaster and super frustrating! But it’s getting you to the next step—surgery! You’ll make it through ☺️
  12. Every time I have a glass of wine I’m instantly thinking of mozzerella sticks or egg rolls. 😭 but I just whine about it for a minute and remember I’m only 30lbs away from goal. And if I open the mozzerella stick door (even the Pinterest healthy ones) it will never shut again and we can’t have that!

    Stall

Focus on getting the prescribed amount of liquid and protein in a day. That really helps. At a month out I remember taking over and hr to drink my protein shake in the morning but I pushed through it. At a month out you are of course still healing so not eating may sound more appealing sometimes than Getting that full feeling, but pace yourself! There is such thing as eating too little which could delay progress. But go by your prescribed plan! We all have different ones so that makes it tricky!

My surgeon said it’s fine, but thanks.

Yes unfortunately. Miralax every other day. 1 colace pill nightly. Enough fluids and aim for 15 g of fiber a day. My body is still trying to figure it out since I just made this concoction recently, but it seems to help form things up and keep bathroom time from being miserable 😩

    November sleevers here

Update: My body is trying to hang out at 161 and say “this is my happy place” Today I wrapped my head around the fact that if I want to lose these last 30lbs...I’m going to have to start working out and lifting weights more regularly...ahh! At least the weather is getting better here. But my new goal is at least 30 minutes of cardio/day. No more lazy days.

    No weight loss since surgery

At two weeks out I was still eating out of tablespoons. I know I’d have been in the hospital if I ate like that 😐

    Time Off Work?

I took 3 weeks. I felt awful. But I hadn’t had a major surgery in like 15 years so I knew there would be some physical and emotional adjustment.
  19. I just recently purchased the smallest package of coconut flour for a recipe and I have no idea how I'll use it all considering that recipe flopped Anyone think of a recipe they like that uses coconut flour? I'm open to suggestions! I checked pinterest and it has a lot of baked goods which I'm not really into (only 3 months post op) and a lot of "bread" or what's supposed to be a bread substitute I guess. Halp!

    Cookbooks

I didn’t buy any bariatric specific cookbooks. I found all of my recipes on Pinterest for all stages. Searching things like “gastric sleeve recipes” or “puréed stage” etc etc got me a whole Pinterest board
  21. Same...people watch me eat all the time. But they don’t comment, just stare 🙄

I'm buying like, one or two pairs of cheap business pants from either TJ Maxx, Ross, or Goodwill--I'm not buying a full new wardrobe until goal. I do have a few pairs of size 6-8 jeans waiting patiently for me My shirts all still fit, I was wearing stuff too tight. At some point I'll have to buy cute new summer dresses...and the dreaded swimsuit!

Breakfast: 1 scoop GNC protein powder, 1/4c blackberries, 1c kale smoothie Lunch: Some sort of protein, this week it's been italian meatballs with 26g protein in each. Otherwise chicken or ground beef dish, or high quality deli meat. Dinner: Either same as lunch (protein dish) or 1/2c fiber one cereal (gotta get that fiber!) I eat 400-600 calories a day. 50-60g protein, less than 50g carbs usually, and less than 30g fat. I'm still feeling VERY restricted by my sleeve, which is fine by me. I'll take it

    Newbie/1st post

I went in for surgery at 9am and I was released the next morning at 5am. I wore the same sweats and shirt out as I did in because it was such a short stay. I brought a book to read but I honestly slept the whole dang time. I didn't need anything I brought except the clothes to wear out

    Real Good Pizza Co

I really liked the pepperoni one, hated the breakfast pizza. Even though the pepperoni was delicious, I didn't buy them again due to the sodium content. It was the first thing out of a freezer I ate since surgery 4 months ago
