  1. Thank you! Answered all my questions. I have not had my first fill; 2 weeks post-op; but you made it look so painless. Thanks again. Grammy in Columbus
  2. What does PB mean? I seen this used often on this site. Thanks. Also, is there a list of acronyms pertaining to Lap Band? Grammy in Columbus
  3. Parteetimer - I have found unjury products do quite well. The Soup is OK but vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavors are great. They provide samples. Welcome to the UNJURY Homepage Grammy in Columbus
  4. Chicken soup is OK. Not great. I made a mistake and zap it the microwave - a mistake. You merely mix 8 oz of warm water to 1 scoop or package and stir.
  5. Thanks, will try Syntrex Protein. I like Unjury vanilla and strawberry sorbet.
  6. Caligirl - it's universal. I told my family I would wait until after the surgery to write a letter of complaint. It's the call backs or lack of call backs that frustrated me. Surgery was April 14. Grammy in Columbus
  7. red - congrats! I am 8 days post op and have minimual pain. Just think what we will look like and how we will feel 12 months from now! Grammy in Columbus
  8. dyslansmom - could you recommend any blended cream soups? Thanks. Grammy in Columbus
  9. I am 8 days post op and required to consume 70 grams of Protein daily. Will that be the requirement throughout stages 1,2,3,4? Thanks. Grammy in Columbus
  10. Hi Tess and Hazel, welcome. I, too, am new (8 days) to this site - it is wonderful! Grammy in Columbus
  11. We walk this far by faith, lending on His every word. God places people and tools in our life to help us. You have made a wise decision. I am 7 days post-op, yes, some pain but doing OK. You find that this web site is great, a lot of wisdom found here. Be blessed. Grammy in Columbus
  12. This is the day that Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! Day 7 post-op and doing great. This is a great web site.
  13. It's day 7 post-op and I am doing pretty good. Sixty is the new 40! Going to get a pedicure so I can sport some fancy sandals for the summer. Get ready, get ready, get ready! Grammy in Columbus
  14. My surgeon's office also has a support group and post counseling. I am assuming this is included in the cost of the surgery. This is a great web site. Grammy in Columbus
  15. Thanks for the invite. Would love to join the group. Yes, I posted an intro.
  16. You go, girl!!
  17. I was told to consume 70 grams of protein daily. So I have 2 Unjury shakes plus 20 grams of Isopure protein water daily but I don't rush to bathroom - wish I did. I guess each person's system is different. I wonder if that is why I have so much gas. Please reply - anyone. Is it too much protein that causes gas pain??
  18. Appeal their decision. I was denied twice but appealed it with help from my primary physican and surgeon. Ask them to assist you. Doc's know how to talk that insurance language. Be encouraged.
  19. Congrats! The gas is a killer. Walking will get rid of it - just walk, walk, walk.
  20. Hi!! I am 7 days post op and 10 lb weight lost. I return to work parttime for this week. Excited about that because I was getting borded. Need to talk to people other than my two kitties. I see Dr. Price on Friday for my post-op. Is his office ALWAYS that crowded?? Have a great day. Grammy in Columbus
  21. It is definitely a matter of prayer - to band on not to band. I am 6 days post-op and it is one the best things I have done for MYSELF. Be encouraged and continue to reach out to folks with positive outcomes. Grammy in Columbus
  22. It's gas, baby. I live on Gas X. But it (gas) is only temporary. The more active you are, the less gas.
  23. My pain was miniminal. Took one pill a day at night for 3 days. The gas is what gets you. Recommend Gas X.
  24. That is great! You managed to loose a pound a day since you were banded. Well, I guess it may be over a pound a day because April 26 will be 30 days for you. Congrats! My doctor tells me the average weight lost is 2 pounds per week. Congrats again! Grammy in Columbus Banded April 14 Weight Lost to Date: 5.5 pounds
  25. Hi! I was banded April 14. One of the best things I ever done for MYSELF. Yes, it was worth it. I watched my mother pass away on March 30 of last year due to diabetes, hypertension, obesity and COPD. I made a decision then to drop 100 pounds by my 63rd birthday. I am 61.5 years old. Go for it. It is well worth it.
