  1. I went to for my fill on Thursday and the doctor told me I didn't need one but to bump up my exercise and decrease my calories to 1300 per day. I only lost 3 pounds in the last 3 months. I rejoined Weight Watchers today to help drop this last 40 pounds. Pray for me. Grammy in Columbus

63 lbs weight lost on May 8, 2009
  3. Great web site! I, too, am a slow loser. It was frustrating at first, but I am not where I used to be. Banded April 2008, lost 55 pounds to date.
  4. I was banded April 14, 2008 at Mt Carmel West. The doctors and staff were great! I am a slow loser - it's been 55 pounds to date (3 dress sizes). Good luck.
  5. I agree with you. I got this surgery, too, for a reason and I am going to work it. I am a slow loser maybe it's because I am 62 years old. Who knows - but I have lost 55 pounds in 9 months and I am pleased. I average 1 pound a week.
  6. I will join you. I have been away a few weeks. Last week went on my first cruise with my daughters. Had a great time. Didn't gain a pound - I was pleased. My daughters put on 5 to 10 pounds each.
  7. Be encouraged - I went through that too. Just follow the food plan and the restriction will come.
  8. Thanks for starting this forum. It is great! Any other foxy seniors out there?
  9. I choose the Lap Band because of the long term commitment and the less invasive procedure. I feel great. My weight lost has slowed to 1 lb per week and I am ok with it. It took me 20 years to gain the 100+ extra lbs - I figure it will take me 18 months to loose it. On my way to being a 'silver fox'.
  10. I am a 62 year old grandmother with 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Retired 8 years ago and work at my local church. Love reading books by Black authors; travel; and justing hanging out with special friends.
  11. Go shopping sistergirl! I, too, went from size 24 to 18 and had some phat size 24 clothes. Hated to turn them loose - but I donated them to a local church and "Dress for Success". Now, I am buying 18's and 16's - phat, too. My favorite stores are JC Penney's Outlet and Burlington. Enjoy the shopping spree!
  12. Can someone tell me how to attach my picture? Thanks.
  13. Sistergrl, Just found this thread. I was banded on April 14, 2008 and lost 45 pounds to date. Slow but sure. I was 62 on Sep 18 - so anything I lose is a blessing at this age. But I feel great and beginning to get "high school skinny" again. Be blessed.
  14. I am thingking about rejoining WW (after 2 years) just to increase the weight lost process. I was banded in April 2008 and lost 45 pounds to date, an average of 1 pound per month.
  15. Will pray. Be blessed.
