Thats a great weight loss, If I could loose that amount I would be so happy. I too get the reflux and have Omeprazole, which I sometimes feel, does nothing to help. Garlic and spices, which I use to love and eat heaps of; are now not an options, the smell of garlic makes my stomach turn and whilst I love Thai Green Curry, it just doesn't work well for me anymore !!! I agree, I look in the mirror and cant see any change, but others can, and when I compare photos I can see a difference, of course the clothes hang loose !!!
  3. Thanks for the feedback and recommendations. I am on a PPI as I had acid reflux before the op too. Will just keep positive and going to my work out classes twice per week. It was also suggested that Im not eating enough calories and going into starvation ?? I dont know !!!

I am in Glen Eden Auckland and looking for a support group,. Had sleeve done in Thailand on 4th September 17. Struggling with no support group, are there any around here to join ?
  5. I need someone to assure me I am not doing anything wrong and that what I am going through, not loosing weight, not eating much, nausea and constant hunger is quite normal ? I feel disheartened, after spending so much money on this surgery in Thailand, then the weight loss stopping after 4 weeks ? I am constantly hungry, have shocking acid re-flux and when I eat, I cant eat much and then vomit when I go to bed ? Please can someone give me the encouragement I need to keep feeling positive and the assurance it will get better ???
  6. Friends of mine, who have had gastric sleeve are taking the following: clinicians multi or 2 x Centrum Plus I take 2 x chewable BN Mulits (BNMulti.co.nz or BNMulti.co.au) designed for gastric bariatric surgery patients I also have calcium on perscription from my GP. Hope this helps
  7. I had my sleeve done in Thailand on 4th September. I lost 9kg in first two weeks, lost another 6kg in following 2 weeks, then nothing for 3 weeks. Checked today and lost 1.5kg in last 2 weeks. Its very depressing when so much money has been spent to have this weight loss surgery done, but the results are not coming through. Is this normal. I have no support here, as I had my surgery done privately in Thailand. I have tried numerous dietitians and Nutritionists; who charge heaps but actually are no help. I did find on line the multivitamin called BN Multis, there are .co.nz and .co.au sites for them. They have a chewable multi specifically designed for Gastric sleeve and alike surgery and for a years supply I paid $300 nzd, which works out to be $25 per month - this is good value and especially for the multi designed for us !!! SO my weight loss is so slow, I cant each much and am constantly hungry, yet when I eat, what little I can eat, I then feel like vomiting - it feels a vicious circle ? anyone else feel like this, or have any suggestions? I know the Thyroid gland can go a bit squiffie after this type of surgery, so Im having that checked mid November. WOuld lovew some feedback and ideas to make the weight drop more. thanks
  8. HI, dont know if this will help, but there is a multi vitamin especially designed for post bariatric surgery like the Gastric Sleeve. The website is BNMultis.co.au or BN Multis.co.nz for those in New Zealand. There is a special price for bulk buying. I have got on the NZ site, 12months worth or BN Multis - Chewable, you chew 2 a day, dont tast too bad, the cost for the year is $300 nzd, works out to be $25nzd per month. Apart from these, I get my Calcium on perscription from my doctor which cost me $5 nzd for 3 months supply. Hope this helps
