WOO HOO! As of my doctor's appointment, I no longer have high blood pressure and am no longer pre-diabetic!
And, I have an appointment in early November with my pulmonologist to see if they can take me off my CPAP machine.
Plenty more weight to lose, but my health has improved dramatically already.

I have enough data to confirm that I've beaten last week's inexplicable weight gain. Over the past few days, not only have I lost all the weight I gained over the previous week but as of today, I'm at a lower point on the scale than I was the day before the gain started, being down 0,4 kg (0,8 lbs for the Americans here) from my lowest point and down 1 kg (2,2 lbs) since yesterday.

I tackled my Constipation after not going for maybe 3-4 days. With the uncomfortable gas from surgery I wasn't willing to also be bloated cause I couldn't poop. Did 3 days of Miralax and have gone every day since.

I stalled at three weeks, then all of a sudden it started to move again, when I started to increase my calories. I'm at 5 weeks, and have lost a further 7lb since the 3 week stall. Somedays I lost 2lb and then the next day I put it back on!! Frustrating but getting there - it's like a game your body plays with you.
I feel much better now but still hate meal times, couple of mouth fulls and food gets stuck. i struggle with Protein and Water and get depressed, but today I walked into a normal size dress shop and was able to try on clothes that fitted me!
Also I've bough a Fitbit which is great as a food journal, exercise tracker etc., love it.
Good luck everyone we will get there. Dont let yourself get demotivated. Fight back, and think positively xx

Sleeved 8/18 and I just hit my puréed stage....has anyone had their puréed foods get stuck in like the chest area? Caused a lot of discomfort but now I've been thining my pureeds out with Water to make them a little less thick. Still don't get the urge to feel hungry but I know I'm not supposed to go without taking in some kind of protein... but I had my post op appointment last week and my doctor said I'm doing amazing. And the plus side down 24 pounds! Trying to hit 30! Hopefully soon [emoji2]

My wife said my favorite jeans were getting loose, so I tried them without the belt. They're easily 3 or 4 inches too big. I went to order new ones, and found that the size I want is the smallest one the Big & Tall jeans I'd been wearing even make. I think I'm going to hold out another few weeks and see if I can buy non-Big&Tall jeans for the first time in years. I've lost around 40 pounds between the pre-op and the first two weeks after surgery. I start purees tomorrow, which I am both excited about and dreading.

I'm a little annoyed... I didn't tell a lot of people I was having my surgery. Insurance wouldn't cover it and I was afraid if something happened financially (total cost was $22,800) I'd have to tell everyone I wasn't having it... anyway, I feel like people are expecting me to lose 100lbs within a few weeks. I can tell when they look at me. I'm 11 days post op.... people need to back off and give me time to adapt to this new life!!!

    Hey y'all!!
Long time, no talk - training for a half marathon and work has been insane lately!
My two year surgiversary was November 20th, and I tried on my old Cotton Ball dress because it was hanging in my closet, lol. (Cotton Ball is a southern cotillion ball - traditional thing with debutantes, etc. - I was 17 when I did it).
Left is from my wedding <3 that dress is a size 28. The one on the right is a size 8; I'm generally a 6 in clothes, but bridal runs small!

    No skin removal

14months since the surgery, seems I've reached my weight, haven't been gaining or losing for a few weeks. Finally!
    Some before:

Last week during some holidays in Norway:

It was after a 5hours walk through the Norwegian mountains, the view of the fjord was great and I was really glad I could climb up all this, one year ago I would not have been able to do so! I now am in better physical shape than most of my friends which feels kinda weird but satisfying as well.

Haven't posted on this site for almost a year. I was sleeved 03-16-16 by Dr. Laura July in Minneapolis, MN. No complications. The last year has been wonderful. I started at 270lbs in October 2014. On surgery day I was 250lbs. As of today I am 158lbs at 5'7.

One of my big fears before surgery was what the scars would look like long term. This is a few days after surgery and 1 year later. I'm happy with it!
