MG1776 got a reaction from Judy Gaer in Calling all October sleevers!!
Surgery was 10/16, down 16 lbs from surgery date. Feeling great! First day back at work, and found out that my slacks I wore pre-surgery are not possible to fit in now. Have to go shopping tonight for a few pair to hold me over for a few weeks. It's good to be able to see and feel the difference, even in a short time. Almost 70lbs down from my highest weight.

Man, do I feel great. Still fighting through the full liquid/purée stage, but everyday is better. I’m down 17 lbs from surgery date, 67 lbs from my highest weight. Clothes are falling off, and I can visibly and physically see and feel the changes already. Here’s a photo of my highest to yesterday

MG1776 got a reaction from FluffyChix in Scared senseless.... pre-op
I had VSG done 10/16. My SW was 283.1 and yesterday I weighed at 266.6. I’ve been getting my fluids and Protein daily, and moving around as much as possible. Finally feeling normal with no head fog, etc. incision sites are almost healing, the larger one has a bit to go, and still some bruising, but can sleep on my sides and almost my stomach. Just trying to find some variety of full liquids between yogurt, Soups, shakes, etc. You guys will do amazing, just stick the course. Walk as much as you can post op, but also listen to your body. Hydration is key.

Being nervous is expected as it is a major surgery. I’m a week post op and feel great. Even with some bleeding that kept me a couple days longer than expected, it was really a breeze and I’m so happy I went through with it. I’m still on full liquids for another week, but each day that goes by I feel better. You’ll do great, just trust the process and stay the course.

Had my sleeve one week ago today and feel great. Each day is getting better. I have no problems getting my fluids in, and mixing up my full fluids to keep it interesting with creamed Soups, yogurt, etc. Protein Shakes are getting easier to tolerate each day as well. On day of surgery, I was 283.1, and this morning I was 266.6! Looking forward to continuing the journey

Yes, a sharpe cramp like pain at my breast bone and through to my back, it hurts so bad I don't want to take in any liquids. Even the slightest anout of Water will do it, and then it comes in waves, I'm pretty miserable right now.

Yes, I do too, my surgery was Oct. 16 at 7:30 I was fine in the hospital, but last night the pain and nausea were rough. I called my doctor and he said because I was

I am only 6 days post surgery and I feel the same way. I have definitely never been this jazzed to eventually eat an egg.

I got my staples out this morning and my incisions feel SO MUCH better. It didn't hurt at all for those who may be worried about it. I finally got my 64 oz in yesterday, and it's still tough. One more week of Clear Liquids and then I move onto purees. Down 14 pounds since surgery and I still feel like I have a bit of bloating left.
Overall, hanging in there and getting back to my normal routine now that I am a week out. It's amazing how far you come in a week, this time last week I was in so much pain I thought I wouldn't make it, now I'm off my tylenol regularly.

I had my sleeve surgery Oct 16, at 7:30, I came home yesterday, but I should have stayed an extra night, cause my pain and nausea were really bad. I even called my doctor last night I was hurting so bad. He said as long as I'm keeping what little I take in down it would get better. Doing a little better today. But every sip whether it be pain meds, Water, etc. it causes my stomach to grurle, then a sharpe pain, which goes away pretty quick and then a constant ache.

I've done all tests, nutrition classes, support groups, etc. with Kaiser in Northern California. I did my blood work and EKG this morning, now meeting with the nurse next week to discuss surgery date! All other pre-op requirements have been finally met! So excited to get this done...sooner rather than later.
