    I confess that...

    1) I lied about the surgery I was having to my husband because he would never understand. He’s in the “get up and move and it’s oh, so easy” mentality. He thinks the surgery was for something else and weight loss is a weird side effect.

    2) I miss Goldfish crackers so much that I “eat” handfuls of them by sucking the seasoning off and spitting them into the garbage.

    3) I bought a kid’s meal and ate the French fries first. My punishment was they wouldn’t stay down.

    4) I threw out my big clothes yesterday instead of giving them to charity.

    5) I’m loving the attention I’m getting from guys right now even though I’m married.

I have lost 40.2 as this morning. Sleeved 10/3.

I would like this post over and over if I could. I wouldn't go tattling that someone hurt my feelings. I would more likely get in their face and make them feel uncomfortable. Draw attention to their stupidity.

Come to think of it, I could be one of the people in the new's being sued for sexual harrasment..lol
I was raised when there was no political correctness...lol I think I have harassed a few people in my time. It's my warped sense of humor that gets me in trouble.
For me it's not a big deal.
Trust me, I have had worse happen.

    My first confessions. Here goes...

    1. I confess that I am afraid to take pics of myself yet because I am afraid that I won’t see in a pic what I see in the mirror. I really like what I see in my mirror for once.

    2. I confess that as much as I want people to comment on my weight loss, the attention is sometimes extremely overwhelming and I want to hide from everyone.

    3. I confess that even though first and foremost I had this surgery to have a healthy future, one of the biggest incentives for me to lose weight was to fit into roller coasters again. My poor husband has had to ride alone for the last 6 years.

    4. I confess that even though I am more than halfway to goal in 3 months I am terrified that any day now I will stop losing.

    5. I confess that after I tried on my wedding dress from 14 yrs ago AND IT FIT!!!, I stayed in it all night while I vegged out on my couch and watched TV.

Yesterday was my four week mark, and I was very nervous because I knew the candy situation. I’m a teacher, and we have Halloween parties, kids bring me special treats, and then there is trick-or-treating at night.
Not only did I make it through alive, I didn’t have one bite of candy. My cravings didn’t exist. I wasn’t even interested when people brought me my own bag of Snickers. This is the most amazing feeling! I can do this!!!
    Have a great day, all!

Hi, all. I wanted to find a place where i can document everything so this is it. I had my sleeve done on 10/3/17. What amazes me is that what I have experienced seems to follow most people to a T.
The past week-and-a-half was very frustrating as I hit a nine day stall, experienced that slime everyone has spoken of, had a bout of depression where I couldn't stop crying for days, and was so tired I couldn't function once I got home from work. Oh, and the monthly friend I haven't seen in two years came back to visit. I've been having a really hard time getting all of my Protein and liquids. I mean I'm lucky if I get one water bottle in an entire day. I am finally able to eat soft foods so it feels like a whole new world has opened up to me. That gourmet meal of fat-free refried Beans with some shredded cheese was the one of the best I've ever had. However, both times I tried fish... definitely not something my new stomach likes. It came back up immediately.
Anyway, the happy news is that this morning I woke up bright and early, was finally able to down an entire Protein Shake, and the scale said I was down two pounds. Oh... and I was able to put on an old pair of jeans two sizes smaller than the day I went in for surgery. Now, technically they are over my butt and can button if I suck in my belly, but they can't be zipped up. I don't care though. They feel good. LOL
I feel so energetic this morning, and these jeans with the two pound loss on the scale was definitely the new motivation I needed. I was really starting to feel down in the dumps, even though in my head I know my loss has been amazing. It was seeing the scale not move coupled with wanting to throw chicken broth out the window that was getting to me. So tonight I plan to increase my walking after work, and hopefully I'll be able to stay awake until 9:00.
    Have a great day everyone!

He left the house?? It is starting to sound like not just hormones but him being unsupportive uncaring jerk, to excuse my frankness. First nail is not coming to hospital, then walking out when trying to give your struggles, right after you have major surgery?? Most people don't understand how major it is but that is supposed to be your partner and pillar of support regardless if he agreed with the decision or not. 😤😡

Sorry to hear that. Im 10 days post op. These are mentally tough times. Nothing to do but sit home and let your insides heal up. Can only eat liquids which is super hard for me. I don't have anybody cause im willingly single right now. Tell yur boyfriend u need his support if u do. If he doesn't I'd start thinking about making a new skinnier life without him.

Well I’m not losing fast AT all. After a week stalled I lost on the one month mark, the scale moved 1 lb. I don’t know how to change my start date weight and current weight in my profile. But here is a pic 4 days post op and then yesterday at a month but only lost 11lbs since surgery but lost 20 before so 31 total.
    Hoping next month is better.

I am one year out (Surgiversary was Oct 3), and I saw a cool idea I was inspired by, so I saved all my jeans and took an image of them all. Biggest was size 20, smallest (current) size 4. Needless to say I should have taken stock in Old Navy!

I had my surgery on 10/3 as well. I was discharged yesterday, and today I’m allowed to move from Clear Liquids to the next stage. My only real pain has been the gas, but this morning I woke up with tightness in my chest. I made myself cough a lot, and it seems to have subsided.

I think today I’ll need to try some of that Vitamin Water zero and diet Snapple.

I also noticed that everything tastes super sweet. I’m used to having a Splenda with my tea, and I had to dump it and go without. I also couldn’t get the pro stat Protein down because the vanilla flavor was just too sweet.

It feels good to know I’m kinda on a normal track. Good luck to us all!

bmxmama2 got a reaction from Lanae in My experience four days post-op... Thank you for the well-wishes. :)
I want to thank you all for the well wishes. I am now four days post-op, and I'm feeling pretty well. It's so true what they say about not being hungry. I am forcing myself to get in the little bit that my body allows. It is so strange not being able to eat or drink like I normally would. It's like my body has an automatic shut off valve that says stop, that's it, and I just can't get anymore down.
The hospital experience was so much better than I expected. The only thing that would have been awesome to know in advance was that they required TWO IV ports. One was for fluids and medications, and the other was in case I needed blood. So... the part I feared the most was doubled. Other than that, I can't complain about a single thing. They made sure that I never even had a chance to feel much pain because they were on top of it.
Even now that I'm home, there is only a little bit of soreness. I'm not even taking the prescription painkillers. I have taken Extra Strength Tylenol a few times because I'm sore and a little stiff when I wake up in the morning. Be sure to do your coughing and breathing exercises because they do help so much.
I was a little freaked out because I gained weight in the hospital, but it's already almost gone. I'm told it's from being pumped full of fluids.
Anyway, now I'm on the other side and am so excited for this journey towards the new me. No regrets!
