  1. I have a coccyx cushion on my chair my work office chair the car and I had one in the bed but I got a memory foam mattress topper and it's pretty good. I wondered if being so big actually bent it because man does it get painful!
  2. I had postural drop after surgery every time I stood up it dropped. Once the took me off the bp meds it was a lot better
  3. I have had more constipation myself and became lactose intolerant which is only now resolving. Maybe something you are drinking on the liquid phase bit of dumping syndrome maybe
  4. I like the McKenzies Lentils Freekeh and beans in a salad
  5. Low carb high protein can leave an unpleasant taste. When I was on the Optifast Shakes Pre surgery I always felt like my teeth and tongue were both furry no matter how much I brushed
  6. I had the injections at home for a week before and a week after. The only smell I've noticed is when I go to the bathroom I can tell what I've eaten lol with the Vitamins I know Vit B has a strong smell so I get Vit B injections now no smell
  7. Thank you. Good luck with your journey. I still have about 20lbs to go so maybe we can inspire each other! Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Thank you. I'm almost there Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Ok so I'm taking the plunge. This is my first progress pic side by side. I had an RNY bypass in August 17 so 10 months and a bit before on my own. My start weight was 187kg and size 32. Now 87kg and size 16. 100kg lost feels pretty good. Next is skin! Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I was 57 when I had my RNY bypass. I can't say it has been without complications but each one has been dealt with as its come up. On a positive note I have lost 200lbs in 9 months so the surgery itself has been a great success and nothing was age related. I am not longer diabetic no longer have high blood pressure and have gone from size 32 - 18 Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. If it's very dark it can mean dehydration but can also be a sign of kidney stones. Mine went very brown looked like coffee or Cola. Maybe it needs checked Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I had so many adhesions that it took to surgeon Two and a half hours to break through them and he was almost at the point where he was going to open me the old way but he finally got through and completed the bypass and repaired a hiatus hernia and did a partial gastrectomy all laproscopically so don't give up. It took six and a half hours but it was done and I have lost 93kg in nine months Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. My tailbone hurts too. I bought a gel cushion and a round bolster and even that's not enough sometimes it's a pain in the a** literally Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I'm am four months out and diagnosed with an ulcer and a swollen bile duct. I don't have a gallbladder anymore but they said a stone or slush could be in the duct and that's a tricky one to get to do that's a wait and see. I also had kidney stones week seven and had three surgeries for that. But on the bright side I've lost over 110lbs in four months Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Glad to read you BP is normal again. Just be careful of standing up too quickly. I had some issues with postural drop meaning if I did stand to fast the BP dropped really low. I've had the meds reduced twice in four months which is great. I stopped diabetes meds the day before surgery and never needed them again. I hope e everything is going well Em 1 Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Wow that's a great result so far congratulations. Good luck with your New Years goal. Mine right now is to be 100kg by Christmas but it's a big ask I'm sitting at 114kg so maybe by New Year [emoji3] Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. Congratulations you look amazing Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. I have had a few stalls for various reasons. I had the bypass four months ago and I've lost just over 110lbs but I had further surgeries and each time stalled due to excess fluid and sleepy bowel constipation etc. The last time I was not sure usually I add more protein and water but this time I had some extra carbs and it seemed to shake things up a bit. I think our bodies get a bit used to it. I lost 2lbs in two days now back to normal. Fluids have played a big part for me if I eat too much salt the next day I will have gained half a pound. What kind of fats are you eating that makes you think it could be that Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. You look so pretty. I was actually looking for the other picture I thought there were two different but similar looking people in that one like maybe a sister or daughter! Then I realized lol You look amazing.. Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I spend a lot of years as a young fat teen then woman. It's sad that so many people do make remarks that further dent your self esteem and make you feel fat and unattractive. I had men who were more than happy to hook up for sex but not in public or in front of their friends. It took me many years to realize that's on them not me but there was a huge amount of damage done. When I met my husband I was big he was recently divorced from a lady who was a size 2. It didn't make any difference one way or the other to him. He has stuck with me through mental illness and depression and loading weight on to 407lbs. Now I am in the 200s and he is so proud and happy for me. We have been together 27 years and had a beautiful marriage and the weight has never been an issue for him other than my health. You look amazing! Keep that confidence and don't settle for less than you deserve. I hope you don't mind d but I showed my husband tour pic and told him the story. He said those men must have rocks in their heads she's beautiful and looks like a real woman who is healthy and not a stick insect lol and the guy on here who said you were a little "thick" must be a bit thick himself.. Thick in the head! Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. I had no choice because of previous abdominal surgeries and adhesions so I had the RNY bypass four months ago. I have a lot if friends who have had the sleeve and ate happy. I don't personally know anyone who has had the bypass which was why I joined the group. The only one that seems to be a huge issue now is the band. Some with the sleeve choose to revise and have the bypass down the track for various reasons. I'm kind of glad I had the bypass because as the surgeon said I don't need to be doing it again. I had a hiatus hernia that was found and fixed during surgery which was good. Go with what you and your surgeon think is best. Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. I was so excited I told everybody too. I had a lot of different reactions but now that I am four months out and the losses are visible people are being very supportive and nice about it. Prior to this I used to keep diets secret especially from my mother when she was still with us because I used to feel that she would get judgey about it and too involved. If she was here now I would gladly share this with her and show her how to help me. But then I'm not a kid now lol Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. People who do that annoy me so much. If they think having half their stomach removed or intestines rearranged is the easy way out they should try it! It takes a lot if courage and determination to do this and do it well. I wish you all the best on your journey. Only tell who you want to tell it's your body. Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Great job congratulations! When was your surgery? I'm about four months too Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. My neighbor who is like a stick insect told me she lost 20kg using mind over matter and it's the same reason her boob's are perky because that's how she's told them to be! She wanted me to try it. I said first off your boob's are perky because you are 30 and have no kids second if I could have willed away 200+ lbs I would have done by now! The other ones who annoy me are the ones who say..well done on the weight-loss oh wait you had surgery didn't you? People who think having half your stomach removed or your intestinal tract rearranged is the easy way should try it! I mentally slap people who say it lol [emoji23] Sent from my CPH1607 using BariatricPal mobile app
