Setting a realistic goal weight...
Dawg...you mentioned 'skin'....extra stuff....you have talked in the past about working out at the gym....I'm thinking that working out is the way to go - it will change the shape of your body and will give you a more realistic idea of what you want your goal weight to be....my sister recently lost over 100 lbs and worked at the gym 6 days/week and her goal weight was 20 lbs lower - after working out she changed it to 'at goal' and doesn't need to lose anymore weight....just food for thought....also-ya might want to talk with Telly - she's very into the working out 'image' and might have some good stuff to share with you

I am sneaking food again!
Donna -- we ALL go through moments like this....I LOVE ice cream! It is the ONLY food item I actually miss....so I planned for those crave moments and bought Slim-A-Bear NO SUGAR ice cream and also Weight Watchers has some awesome stuff too --- so go girl - to the nearest store and buy ice cream alternatives -- if it SITS in the freezer you probably won't even crave it anymore lol - works for me..... pssst....you really should fess up to your sweetie! He IS on your side - in this weight loss struggle - yes?!

QUESTION for moms.. FUNNY
ROFL....reminds me of when our 8 year old was potty training....he wouldn't aim - just figured it would make it to the toilet - lol - it took forever to get him to 'touch' his penis lol -- so we had the opposite problem!

Paula - children will do that! LOL I have two grown and five 'inherited' children (I hate the word step) -- two inherited darlings are 8 and 16 - need I say they keep me running! I'm so exhausted at night - sitting on my butt and typing or playing games is about all I can manage -- so I hear you on the 3 kids lol! Oh and the bonus is my new best friend - she lives in Greece -we are 8 hours apart and it is fun and silly - when I am awake in the wee late hours she is just starting her day and we chat -- and when I barely have my eyes open she is winding down from her long day - it's fun - and we laugh alot! So maybe a good suggestion would be - find an international friend!!! It's challenging to find the right 'time' but it's also wonderful to learn about another way of living!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (maybe a little XXX)
Hmmm the FIRST thing I do is this lol - LBT -- otherwise I play 'games' like pool and Literati ---I meet new people AND I do NOT eat if my fingers are busy! I also catch up on emailing friends - you know - those people who you 'forget' are alive and well when you are busy doing everything for everyone else the rest of the day! If I am not in the mood for computer time - then I read - I write poetry - I call up someone I haven't chatted with in a while - or I go for a walk. Sometimes I grab an old movie - something I've seen before but forgot I owned lol

Your political compass
I, too am hanging with Nelson Mandela and The Dalai Lama - I'm not surprised - but I do know that after gaining some new knowledge and insight from returning to college as an older adult - it changed my way of thinking. Economic Left/Right -7.75 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian -5.08

C 263.5 (-15 total, -1 this week) Well after Protein shakes and bars all week one would think there would be more loss - kept up the exercise - go figure....but I'll take it. Emilee - there will be no blaming this week! lol - after the ER visit and all the craziness with your band life will go back to normal soon enough. Hang in there!
-
Was your doc onboard for the band?
I'm not banded yet...but I had all different opinions....my PCP said he had quite a few patients with the band and said they were quite successful; my ob/gyne said she does not believe in WLS surgery, just eat healthy (easy for her to say); and my rheumatologist said she knew two patients who had it done (one was over 60 years of age) and she is extremely supportive but said it had to be my decision. So I think everyone is right - when doctors are informed about the band they support it. If they aren't informed - share the info with them!

Sheryl - you look great! keep up the good work! Lins12 - aren't we ALL addicted to food? lol ...on a serious note - it is awesome to have someone to talk to about our 'issues' and get back on track...congrats on being a smart lady and asking for help!

Sheryl - your protein shake with 'some' sugar is fine -- if you read back - maybe to page 2 of this thread P'Nut talks about the kinds of things meant by no sugar and flour Don't worry - drink your shake! and Welcome to the Club!

NSV: Slimmed (not slimed) myself out of a store
What a fantastic NSV!!! I can't even SEE that far down the road lol -- congrats!!! It is definitely a proud moment for you

VICTORY - nsv & sort of sv
pfunkem - that is an awesome NSV! Truly, the weekends are my trouble time too! It is so easy to say well it's the weekend -- something I continue to work on. I ordered a 'wrap' Friday and Saturday for dinner while out - and found myself only able to eat 1/2 of the larger one Saturday nite and was able to say NO to chips, etc. It is so hard and I think you deserve LOTS of cheers!!! Way to go!!! Taking care of YOU!
