Here's the deal. You have to decide if this is what you want to do and if it is going to be worth it to you. Only you can make that choice. You are discouraged over a 2 week diet when you haven't even had surgery yet. The ups and downs you are going to face going forward will make this seem like nothing. Are you ready for that? You must decide.
I don't say this to discourage you more. Having weight loss surgery is the best decision I ever made. But I have learned from people on here and others I have met that it is not for everyone. Either go all in and truly commit yourself or don't, but do not ever assume it will be easy. This is not magic. You will feel terrible. You will have long periods of zero weight loss. You will question your decision over and over and over. You will hate what you are "allowed" to eat and crave what you can't have. It sucks, but that is the truth.
Having said that, I would do it all again. For me, it was 100% worth it.

((hugs)) You handled that beautifully! And I think you're a super star for putting yourself in situations where this might occur! I can't bring myself to go to a gym, much less get on a boat for those very reasons! I still will hardly go to a restaurant because people stare at me and look to see what I ordered, or go to the market cuz people check out my cart to see if I have any "fattygirl food." (I order super healthy choices because of that scrutiny.) It was a lot worse when I was most recently at my regain highest of 287lbs, and is getting better now that I'm 238lbs. But I still get those stares that hurt.

I'm hearing major trust issues right now. You don't trust your body, or the process, or even your kitchen scale.
It's a good time to take a moment and think through what is happening. Surgery, healing, diet, stressing about hopes and dreams... etc etc.
Super low carb diets are notorious for causing emotional instability. That is part of the reason I brought more carbs on board (for me it was helpful.. but it's a personal decision).

Some people have an issue with fluids ( like myself still struggling 8 weeks out) and some do not ( like your self) and I would honestly call it a blessing to not struggle. When you move onto dense Protein you will feel the restriction Do not worry.

Liquids don't challenge the sleeve or initiate a sense of fullness or restriction. They pass through the stomach into the small intestine rapidly. This is normal.
You'll be stuffed to oblivion if you attempted to eat 4 ounces of steak or chicken breast. Only lean Proteins and non-starchy veggies challenge the sleeve enough to provide restriction.
Even junk food (e.g. donuts, chips) passes through without any restriction kicking in, so these foods are referred to as "sliders" because they slide right through the stomach.

You're ok. I was the same way. Once you eat you'll feel much more restriction. liquids were so easy for me right from the start. Sounds like your healing well. Don't be nervous if you can help it. It really hasn't ended up being an issue for me at all.

My surgery was at 9 am on Friday. I was in the hospital overnight and was able to be discharged after getting in 40 ounces of fluids the next day which took until early afternoon. My first post-surgery checkup is this Friday.... and if all goes well, I can start soft foods. I can't wait!

Burt's Bees/Chapstick... was my absolute favorite thing I brought. I used nothing else I brought. I was too sore, sleeping, or walking the halls.

I myself, do not agree with this article. I have had my air fryer for about three weeks now and the results do not compare to my oven or convection oven at all. You have to get used to the settings and watch your food at first to see what time is right for your liking then once you know you are set. The auto settings are set to time a full basket. I made frozen fast food fries the other night. The auto setting was for 18 minutes. I watched them and checked them every few minutes. At six minutes they looked great and I tasted one and they were perfect. I shook them twice after two minutes. In my oven these same fries do not even come out crisp. I did the same with frozen breaded cod fillets. The auto setting was too long. You just have to watch at first and come up with your own settings. They were so crispy and good after 8 minutes. They never get that crispy in my oven. If you just rely on the auto time settings and don't fill the basket, then yes, your fries will look like they do in the article. costco frozen coconut shrimp was the best and crispiest my husband ever tasted. The same with frozen onion rings. You just have to watch the first time and come up with your own time. My husband has been raving about the stuff I have made in it. I got the smallest one since there are only two of us and also because of the counter space. So obviously I would not be loading the basket with the amount of food it would actually hold, so the timing will be different. But it is up to you to watch and observe and find out what times are best for you and the amount you are making. You can set your own time and not use auto setting. I have written the times down as I try different foods and everything is good. In fact I have not made anything in my oven or convection oven since I have had this. So kitchen does not get as hot, and saves on ac. Even with my convection, the kitchen heats up cuz of the hot air. As far as the price, my 2.4 capacity was online for 99.00 but I used a 20% off coupon plus another 5.00 off coupon with free shipping. The best investment I have ever made on a kitchen appliance.
