  1. You're on!!
  2. I went to Mexico for a number of reasons. First...Insurance didn't cover it. Ok...I make a more than decent living so i could afford to go to a local doc and pay out of pocket. But in investigating docs in Mexico because of info from this site I found that I actually trusted Dr. Sanchez more than the docs here. No one had the same experience with placing the band than Dr. Sanchez, and his rate of complication was WAY lower than those of the local docs. the man has placed over 6000 bands. that is more than any other doctor I have heard of. The hospital he practices out of is also one of the nicest in mexico, and honestly was nicer than any hospital I have been to here in the states. I even gave birth in a hospital rated the #3 hospital in the country, and the hospital in mexico was nicer than that one. I felt totally at ease, the surgery went well, everything was taken care of and I couldn't be happier. I have chosen a doctor here to get my fills done, and I get my first fill on the 6th of september. It is with Flouro, and the cost is only $200. bonus!
  3. LOL 121 days till christmas baby!!!
  4. LOL do we need to revive the sex thread? I am full of good ideas and crazy stuff. LOL I even learned a few new things while I was away. did you know you can do it in less than 2 minutes, and still have it be mindblowing?!?! LOL Talk about having a crazy work schedule!
  5. oh my you guys. this is so sweet. LOL I actually had to postpone my fill cause of my daughter being sick. had to take her to the docs and the only time available was when my fill was scheduled. So I rescheduled for sept 6th, the day before my daughters birthday. I have been really busy, and needing a break from here, not to mention dealing with family issues and weirdness. But I am calm and cool and back. Looks like I missed all the fun too! LOL I appreciate the wondering and the looking out for me. Its all cool, and I am back.
  6. Pnut...update me please. I am 299.2 total loss of 73 pounds so far. yipee!!!! Telly, I saw your pics in the other thread. So sexy momma!! I love that look for you. I am considering doing the same, my hair is falling out badly. But I am going to hold on as long as I can. My head looks so tiny with short hair... total pinhead LOL For now I am wearing a bandana everywhere. I have one in every color I could find, so that I am stylin. LOL Huggles everyone.
  7. Hi y'all. 'Member me? hehehe I have to apologize for checking out like I did, but I want you to know that all the pm's, emails, and phone calls were greatly appreciated. Why did I leave? well it is a combo of a few things. I had a family member track me down to this site and it got ugly. But I am not going to let that get to me. I just needed to step away from the internet for a bit, but am calm now and dealing with it. But also on top of that I have been working my butt to the bone with some projects I am currently on. I have been back to my 100+ hours a week type stuff. Very little sleep. Seems all I do is workout, and work. I maybe get to sleep on the saturdays, but that is my party day, and we can't miss party day can we? LOL Update on me and how I am doing... I am, as of today, down to 299.2 pounds. I have a fill scheduled for Sept 6th, and am totally wide open with the band. But I have been losing, and do well with a 6 meal a day plan. I only eat 100-150 cals a meal, six times a day at 2 hour intervals. It keeps me pretty filled, and very satisfied. Between that I get in my gallon of water a day, and stay well hydrated. I also workout about 1.5 hours to 2 hours a day, first thing in the morning....or right before i go to bed. Either way it is around 6am every day. I do my rowing machine mostly. But when the weather is cool it is a light job outside with the dog. Yes...I can jog now. The boobs look a bit scary doing this...but it feels good. hmmm...whatelse...I guess that is it. I have so many threads to go through. This is going to become like a second job for me just getting through it all. LOL Love y'all. Happy to be back.
  8. OMG people....Mrs Claus is back I have to apologize you y'all for checking out. I had a hard time with a family issue, and TONS of work (100+ hours a week) but all is fine, and all the kind emails and phone calls I got from people have dragged me back. So...um...lets see. oh yeah! 121 DAY TIL CHRISTMAS!!! Oh yeah, and lets get some updates here people. I'll update the page. *snicker* Ok...back to normal. Love you all! Merry Christmas!!
  9. hey guys. computer at homeis down. I am not going to stick around here cause it is a public place, and i want to keep this site for at home use only. plus the kids are running around. DH spilled a glass of water all over my laptop. which sucks cause that means I am out of work till I get it fixed. I will be back soon!! Stay merry while i am gone!!!
  10. hehehe talk about pain...a very good friend of mine is a piercer, and he will be doing my belly button, and possibly my nose. He is his own PA. I couldn't believe it! I don't think I could do that. The guy that works in his shop, Chris, is a tattoo artist and tatted his own feet. That had to hurt!
  11. nah...just be sure to drink at least 4 oz of pure water for every drink you have. 8oz is better. that will ensure that you are not hungover the next day. but good luck rememebering to do that after 6 or 7 drinks. lol I can't wait to see the ruins. It is one of the things I am looking forward to the most!!
  12. 144 days till Christmas!!! :) :) :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: Alright my little angels and elves, its that time again!! WEIGH IN DAY!! Lets see how close you are to that Christmas Goal!! Lets see if you have been good this week. Remember, Santa is watching! He knows when you've been binging, he know if you got all your water in for the day!
  13. Thank you guys. I appreciate it. It is a lot to walk in Pnut's shoes. She did a lot to set this group up, and no onecompares to her! I am gonna have this thread locked now. Lets all make August a month to remember!!!
  14. Morning all. FunnyDuddies - H 372/ J 340/ S313/ G 120/ C 311 (-61 lbs total, -3 this week) I am frustrated. I wante a pound lost a day. But instead I am losing a little under half that. With my calculations on my BMR and caloric intake I should be at a pound a day or more! grrrr
  15. I'm getting my bellybutton pierced when I get to goal and have plastic surgery.
  16. Desi, there will be a scorecard that CanadaSunshine is working on creating. This scorecard is something that you will put into a post, and go back to to edit every Wednesday for weigh in. There is a point system associated with your weight, amount of Water you drink, how much exercise you get in, etc. At the end of the month the person with the most points wins. I won the June challenge. And this month I have a present to give to whoever wins the August challenge. It is something I picked up in Mexico when I went down to get banded. I got a present from Kat for my winning. an awesome Avon makeup set and tote. PS Desi, make sure you uncheck the box on your posts so that your signature does not show up. It keeps the thread simple, and not so long to load for those on dial up.
  17. Are you going to post the scorecards? we need those to begin the challenge.
  18. CS is building the thread now. Looks like we are in for a great challengethis month boys and girls!!! Thank you all for putting up with me and my updates during my banding month. It was sometimes tough, and i know I madea few mistakes, but I was happy to help out, and I was so happy to give Pnut the break that she so needed!! See you all in the next thread!
  19. Oh we did a lot of christmas shopping this weekend. We got my daughter a few barbie things, and will be getting her a barbie dream home or soemthing like that. She gets her own room this year for christmas as well, so I got some girly decorative stuff for her. We haven't bought our son anything yet. we are still trying to figure out what to do with his room, and what to get him.
  20. as for the question about my apron removal, i opted to wait till i get to goal to have the removal because of my history with blood clots. this was a decision that my doctor sort of made for me. LOL But i agree and trust his judgement. As for socialization, sherri and tracy and myself were all banded on the same day and we went out to dinner the night before, and sherri and i got to talk before the surgery in the prep room, and when we got back to the guest house we were totally comfortable and spent time in the back yard walking out the gas and relaxing.
  21. 145 days till Christmas!!! :D :D :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat: :bananapartyhat:
  22. bumpity bump bump. Ok, so we need a group consensus as to what is going on this month. Is a challenge in order? Or do we do another month of just weigh ins? I have a challenge surprise for whoever wins, and I vote for a challenge. Tell us what you think. What do you want to do for the month of August?
  23. Well I will tell ya right now, I am a huge partier! LOL When I am not around my kids, I let loose, and Rob and I have a LOT of fun!! Something tells me Jenna is one step down from me, simply because she has that sense of duty to be liason. I have no duty. My kids will be with their grandparents about 1000 miles away. I will be crazy. LOL
  24. Great Christmas stuff here!! http://www.christmaspeople.com/
  25. Hi there all! Last day of the July Gone For Good Club! It is time to hand the reins off to someone else, or back to Pnut. I know Pnut is really busy with fun stuff at home, so I am not sure if she will see this in time to start the next thread. I am going to be out of town a lot next month, and will not be a good one to run the challenge. Is there anyone who would like to volunteer? It means weekly updates, running the challenge, and being a motivator! Something that Pnut is the best at, I tried to do (LOL), and I know that half this group is fully capable of doing. Thanks guys!!
