  1. I have Gerd and it was immediate after surgery. I halved the dose of my PPI 6 weeks ago and am hoping to be able to get off of it. I have read that a BMI of 25 or less can help with getting rid of Gerd .
  2. 2 1/2 years? Yes you can reverse it. You have described yourself as lazy. You wont be able to reverse it unless you are ready to work it. Stop grazing and pushing limits and get back on track or you could end up where you started. Good luck.
  3. I did not exercise. I have lumbar stenosis and it affects my legs. I am also 50 years old. Its all about what you put in your mouth and following the plan the surgeon gives you.
  4. I did and I can still lose !! I lost 5 lbs last month. My surgeon told me I could lose as much with VSG as I could RNY and I took him at his word. Stick to the program no matter what. Good luck
  5. Just looked at your profile and I see we really are neighbors, I live in Springfield !!! I had my surgery with Mercy and Dr. Edwards. Small world ! You will have to PM me.
  6. You are never too old to get yourself healthy !! Looks like we are neighbors. Good luck to you
  7. I will be 2 years out in 2 weeks and I still have the same restriction I had a year ago. I just had 1 scrambled egg and 2 slices of bacon and I am stuffed.
  8. You are normal, hope you feel better !
  9. I will be 2 years out 8/9 and I am very happy I did this, but I am like you in the thought, will I ever not be reminded that I had this surgery and the answer for me is no. I had Gerd immediately after surgery and take meds for it daily, so how can I forget ? Also I still can only eat small amounts and still feel like its Thanksgiving everyday ! Knowing what I know now I would still do it all over again in a heartbeat . Maybe this will change in a few years and maybe it wont but I am much happier for sure .
  10. My philosophy was, its just for now not forever !! Keep in mind you need to get to goal before you start trying all the stuff you love again. When you do start eating those things keep it in check. On occasion maybe 3 or 4 times I have gone to taco bell and had 1 taco and that is all I can hold in my sleeve. I will also have a cupcake on occasion too. I am not saying this is for everyone, but it works for me. I don't feel deprived of anything and am very happy with how far I have come. Good luck and stick with the diet for now.
  11. I drink 2% on occasion and also the fairlife 2% milk.
  12. 50 !!! WHOOT WHOOT
  13. You can st you can start there and if it doesn't work take a full dose. You will feel much better for sure. Good luck
  14. I am 7 months behind you and every time I eat I belch constantly and my throat makes weird noises and there is nothing I can do about it. So I rarely eat out because of it. Mine started after I got scoped and never went away, it could of been coincidence that it started at that time for me. Hope you get some relief.
  15. You may be pain free, I just am not. Good luck to you !
  16. I have had DB hip replacements as well as the back stuff and losing all this weight has NOT helped as far as my pain goes. Hope it will be different for you
  17. I used MOM in the early days for constipation.
  18. I get the injections also and it does nothing for my pain. I have really bad leg pain from it that makes me limp the injections do help with that. It has nothing to do with the sleeve though
  19. No it doesn't have anything to do with it. I have lumbar stenosis and bulging disks and it has nothing to do with my surgery.
  20. Colace is what I use and I haven't had too many problems since. Use the generic it is much cheaper.
  21. I wasn't told to stop losing but was told that BMI for bariatrics was different from people who didn't have the surgery because of the excess skin, so maybe that is why ? Our stats are about the same I am 5 6 and 165. Size 10 and med tops
  22. Sorry you had to go through all of that. You are funny though
