  1. Okay saw the surgeon and I do have the bypass. He says my pouch is the size of a shot glass and that full liquids will just slide through it and that is why I haven't felt the restriction. He said as soon as I start back on solid protein I will fill it.
  2. Whew, thanks for clearing that up, lol. Do you try to get your 60 gm of protein a day ? Either way you are doing great
  3. Where is your protein ? Do you feel sick or sluggish ? I am sorry to hear about the alcohol. Did the drinking start before the sleeve?
  4. That looks delish !! How much of that can you eat ???? How is vacation ?
  5. So sorry you are struggling at this time, but don't get discouraged. Everyone losses at their own pace. I checked my journal and at where you are I had lost 32lbs and I remember feeling the exact same way. Your body might take a drop that last week too. I lost during 1 week to 10 days of the month, instead of a slow steady decline which always freaked me out but it always happened when I followed my plan. You may even want to try bumping calories up 100 to see if that might get ya going too. Sometimes to few calories may make your body hold on tighter, at least that is what I was told. I would ask the Dr. or whomever is doing your food plan just to make sure. Good luck to you !
  6. What is that?
  7. Bless your heart. Hang in there. The pain will get better after you leave the hospital !!! We will have so much to talk about when you are feeling better and ready !
  8. So the last 2 days I have gotten all my protein in and have gotten almost 600 calories. per day. Would like to get up to 800 once I get on soft phase. I am doing good with liquids and I finally got the 5 lbs of water weight off from the hospital. Taking one day at a time.
  9. You know you best. I am 5 days out and I have had a couple of hits today, but I really cant afford to cough so I will be waiting a few more days. I didn't get the munchies on 2 hits so I am okay but I understand your plight.
  10. Hope your surgery went well and you are doing okay Georgette !
  11. I have erosive esophagitis Grade D. I didn't want cancer and hopefully my esophagus will repair itself now and I wont get it. You are doing really well with your sleeve. You have some bounce back room if you need it with what you have lost. Congrats.? At some point your sleeve will relax and you will notice pretty quickly. ( at least I did ) I had been told it would happen but didn't believe it . I was just at 2 years. I wasn't able to eat a 4 oz portion of protein in one sitting until then so it was kind of weird when it happened. I cant imagine being 9 months out and only eating 2 to 3 bites per meal. What do you eat ?
  12. My sleeve was tight . After 2 years 9 1/2 months I was just able to eat a small meal and I was happy with it.
  13. Its not a stupid question. Honestly I do not know. I was told I was given the bypass and they didn't bypass as much as maybe others because I didn't want problems with vitamin deficiency. I was drugged up but I think I remember him saying the rest of the sleeve is still in there. I am going in on Thursday to find out just what is going on. I did see the swallow test the day after surgery and it looked like a straight line pretty much and a small bump in the middle, which I thought was the stoma but as I said I was drugged up. I will let you know as soon as I know though. Another thing though is I haven't eaten solids, so it is possible that liquids and mush just slide right on through. I am pretty sure Wendy will advance me on Thursday to a soft diet. So maybe I will feel something with eggs, cottage cheese, beans, ect . I am hopeful. Either way I am back to tracking food like I did with the sleeve the first 18 months and weighing and measuring.
  14. That is what I am going to do too and I know I can do it . I am just not happy about it and I don't understand why some get restriction with revision and not others and no one told me from the Drs. office. They had me down at hospital to be taking in 8 oz of full liquids each meal. Really ? I could not understand why. I cannot wait to get to my appointment Thursday. I weighed 296lbs the day of my surgery ( sleeve) and in 2 months I only lost 27 lbs. I hung in there and made goal by following the plan the first year. my original goal of 180. I went on to loose down to 164.8 the lowest I ever got and stayed there all last summer was on my way back down and decided to hold steady thinking there was going to be some big weight loss and I didn't want to be too thin for my frame, SHEESH had I only of known, lol. Went in Friday weighing 180 and came out Sunday 185. This morning 181 lmao
  15. My surgeon said no lifting more then 20 lbs, which I thought was a lot. Patients didn't have to wear masks, just the staff . Now you are the first person I have spoke with that has known someone with covid. Glad your family is okay and didn't get all the horrible things the media talks about.
  16. Hang in there. I am guessing that I will lose like you, slowly !! I am looking to lose 20 lb . My question to you is how many calories do you think you will be able to eat to stay at goal ? I was eating around 800 to 1000 last summer just to stay at 166-168
  17. I will tell you I had a hernia repair also with this bypass and I was in more pain then with the sleeve. They managed it with meds the worst I was was an 8 and that was after I started coming to so its foggy. I know exactly what you mean I also just wanted it to be over with and be home and I am doing much better home then in the hospital . I am surprised I am not tired and hurting more to be quite honest. I have been home a little over 48 hrs and only taken 3 pain pills. You are going to do great and we can start getting this little extra weight off together ! What time is surgery ?
  18. Yep and I don't understand why the DR. never told me this ! I must say you are doing very well to have lost 30 lbs so far !! Congrats
  19. Exactly. I loved that restriction and if it is not coming back then this is all on me again like before I had the sleeve. Are you measuring portions and how much are you eating at one sitting ?
  20. Good luck to you and I truly mean that. I will be watching for your progress and maybe we can share being so close together in revision surgeries. Ya know I had read this thread before having the revision and heard the girl saying she had no restriction and I either commented or thought everyone is different and that maybe you don't feel it yet because we are numb from just being cut on ? I hope that is the case. I would like to lose 20 lbs so hoping this malabsorption thing is for real with this bypass. On a happy note if you are doing this because of GERD I haven't felt a thing ! I cant say its gone yet as they have me on my PPI for 3 months. I do believe it is gone though I have had no burning whatsoever !
  21. I have heard that the bypass is different with food and what works one day may not work the next. I plan on trying one thing at a time. I also have been told you have to chew chew chew because it gets stuck ? I do understand the drinking rule and have no problem with that. I didn't drink 30 min or better after eating with sleeve and I didn't drink with meals, so I am use to that. What about before though ? I had one person tell me she drinks and will eat within 5 minutes of it but not after.
  22. This is the revision page !!!!! Mind your business and go to your other forum with first timers !
  23. I am on full liquids and I am pretty sure Thursday they will progress me to scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, ect. I say this because I was eating those things and beans ect 1 week post op sleeve. I am looking forward to progressing and seeing how my body reacts.
  24. I hope you have the best vaca with no issues !! I am going on a cruise with my daughter in Sept for her 28th B day and am hoping 3 1/2 months out I will be fine to eat. I actually am thinking it will go okay if I can keep the progression going with no problems !!
