  1. Erosive esophagitis grade D . I didn't have stuff coming up out of my nose and mouth anymore I was taking Dexilant and it stopped it but I was burning pretty much sometime everyday and taking tums constantly.
  2. Summerset thank you so much !! You hit the nail on the head on so many things. I don not feel as crappy or wore down as I did after the sleeve. I can drink just as I did the day before the revision and I asked the surgeon about that and he said it was okay just a mouthful at a time. Chobani yogurt is 5 oz and I just ate one for breakfast different brand with 15 grams of protein, no problems. It is very scary because I have no idea of what I am living with now and how this is going to work. I will say I have not gotten sick and thrown up on anything yet, but I didn't with the sleeve either so I am hopeful there, but what is this gas thing and is this something that is forever with the bypass ? Thank you for making me feel not alone, I really do appreciate it.
  3. Yes but the sleeve did work for me, I was still at my original goal weight.
  4. I feel no restriction with this bypass nothing, notta. I miss my sleeve and I am so sad I couldn't keep it, crying as a matter of fact, and all this gas, I have **** myself twice today !!! I keep telling myself everything will be okay and its way early. I feel so alone and helpless . I ate a Chobani yogurt today I made myself go slow but ate the whole thing and felt NOTHING had that been my sleeve 5 days post op it would have only been a few bites and I would have been done.
  5. Today has been a decent day. I have taken one pain pill and have eaten a few oz of split pea soup blended and a few oz of premier protein and beef broth. I am just sore for the most part and wear the binder when sleeping. Somebody needs to fill me in on this intestinal gas thing !!! Really the first time it hit it hurt so bad I wasn't sure if something was wrong. Had to get to the store for gas x after finding some talk about it. Is this the rest of my life? or is this just something in the beginning of the bypass?
  6. I looked for your journey last night from when you had the bypass revision last summer but was unable to find it. Could you please tell me what page that is on.
  7. I can already tell I want to eat regular food even though I know it wouldn't work right now so I wait. You are right about that. I seen bacon in the fridge and was like geez here I go again, back to eating like a newborn. I know this will all pass but seriously I had just started 6 months ago to be able to eat a small meal.
  8. I drank some premier and did fine. I also at 2 oz of Chobani and did fine with that. It is strange I don't feel anything but I suppose I wont until things heal up and I advance to solids.. It is messing with my head, lol
  9. I had the sleeve done and have erosive esophagitis grade D from the GERD. I was told I needed to do revise to by pass so I didn't get Barrets and cancer. Have you had WLS or is this going to be your first ? I saw my PCP on Feb 7th 2017. She sent in the order so I could go through the process and I had surgery on August 9th 2017. So 6 months start to finish but it sure did seem longer at the time. I live in Springfield not sure how far you are from here but I would definitely recommend Dr. Edwards and his team.
  10. I am home, showered, and taking it easy. I am going to be on full liquids for 2 weeks. I am going to go slow as far as food and progression because I have read where quite a few by passers have problems with different stuff in the beginning. Hope that I can still drink premiere protein shakes and will be finding out within the hour. Also I can already feel differences in the 2 surgeries. The sleeve had restriction from the start and I could not even drink but a few sips. This by pass is not like that at all I can drink with no problems. I just taking it slow though
  11. I live in Mo and go to Mercy. Dr. Edwards did my sleeve and my revision. Their bariatric center is really good.
  12. They are removing the drain in a few minutes. I am on full liquids for 2 weeks.
  13. Congrats on your upcoming revision. Hope you breeze through it. I didn't have to do a liquid diet, but I did cut sugar out and any junk food the last 2 days. I pretty much just ate a lot of protein the last 2 days before surgery. Sorry you not feeling well maybe its nerves ?
  14. That is the thing I also have high tolerance for pain. I have lumbar stenosis severe in left right l-5 and my neck. I do not take pain meds for this. When it gets real bad and I cant handle it I call the Doc and she gives me some hydro but I have only done that once and it was this year. I feel like if I could be at home I would feel better meditating ect and actually getting sleep. Tomorrow the sun comes out and I going home lol.
  15. Thanks lady and thanks for being here this past year .
  16. My drain is still in and made a bloody mess on the gown and bed. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I am just lost on how to do this and they gave me Yoplait yogurt with 20 grams of sugar so I am confused
  17. Had the revision done at 7 30 am this morning weighing in at 180 my original goal weight. The first 12 hours were horrible. This was a very painful surgery for me and I don't know if it was because they also took the hernia I had. ( I believe they said they took it and not fixed it but I am still on the drugs. ) I have been given morphine to start with then they switched me to dillata because the morphine wasn't cutting it. I am back on liquid hydro now. I wasn't able to urinate either for the first several hours and I am still having a hard time with it. I have been crying through most of the day. Pain, anxiety and lack of sleep have been my companions as they are still not letting visitors in. I cant tell if I still have GERD . The gas pain has been in my neck and shoulders it sucks. I did 3 laps around the ward at 1 am to see if it would help because I thought I had read it helps with the gas. Well I will keep updating my progress here. Good night
  18. You are only in a few months and I would assume you still have quite a bit of swelling, maybe after all the swelling goes down so will the acid? I sure hope so because I am going in Friday for my revision and wont be happy at all if in 6 months I am no better. Would be nice if you could update when/if things change. Good luck How much have you lost since surgery ?
  19. A friend of mine made butter and I made cookies and they were very potent, I was surprised. Hopefully our dispensaries will be open in July and we can get some good edibles.
  20. @summerset Thank you for all the information. I really appreciate it.
  21. Guess measuring and weighing food will be my guide with the revision if I lose this restriction I have.
  22. @summerset how are you doing with your revision ? You are almost 3 months out and had the by pass if I remember correctly ? How is your strength at this point ? Are you able to eat solids well and how much are you eating at one time ? Do you feel like you have restriction if you are eating Beef, chicken, seafood, pork ect ?
  23. Why are gummies illegal in Florida if you have a med card? Have you tried a vape since you have problem with the flower ?
  24. Now that is interesting.
