  1. I gained 4 lbs from the IV fluid after surgery. The next day it was gone.
  2. I did just a little and was still approved. I have BCBS PPO.
  3. I can't. Check in at 6:30. Surgery at 8
  4. Are you sure they said that you could drink after midnight on the 18th? I've never heard of anyone being able to drink after midnight the night before surgery. It's thought of as dangerous in fact.
  5. My Doctor's 3/2/1 is protein/fruits and veggies/ carbs. Carbs instead of fats.
  6. Well here we can choose our own Dr as long as they are covered by our own insurance. The NUT and psychologist and dietician are usually in the clinic, or like in my case they are ones that they recommend. Once all of that is done, then in my case, I saw the Doc once a month x 3, then you send info to insurance company for approval, and as soon as that is confirmed you get a surgery date. To wait 6 or 12 months is usually not the case. The 12 month is never required by insurance!! Wow. That's a very long time.
  7. Head hunger is when you think you are hungry but physically you're not. Head hunger is how a lot of us gained weight by eating when we were not truly hungry.
  8. 2 oz of boneless skinless chicken breast has 47 mg Cholesterol
  9. I loved reading this. Congratulations to you! So glad that it's going so well. I'm a Disney Girl too. Amazing place.
  10. My Surgeon says that ground beef and beef in general may be hard to tolerate.
  11. I'm right behind you. The 17th. Have to be there at 6:30 am for an 8 am surgery. As hard as one tries to get it off their mind ( movies, reading) it's impossible not to dwell on. It's an anxious time.. anticipatory time... etc etc
  12. Thing is, honestly you might have to travel to another universe to avoid negativity.
  13. I like mine. He has a great reputation and is clearly knowledgeable. It doesn't hurt that he is also gorgeous.
  14. Mine gave me the info as far as people I needed to see and I made the appts. When I called them and had question they returned my calls. They didn't hold my hand.
  15. The first three days after my surgery, I'm on clear liquids. Jello is an option on my list. Jello isn't a liquid once it's in gel form though. That's how you eat jello. In the gel form. Help. I'm confused.
  16. Yep it's right around the corner. I try not to think about the actual surgery. I try to remember that I'll be out while they are doing it. My Dr acts like almost no one is in pain because he uses this new Med on the actual surgical sites that are like novocaine and last 2 days. We will see!
  17. Yeah!! It was a mistake. The Cardiologist repeated the EKG and it was fine. It was a slight misplacement.... Oct 17 I'm ready!!!
  18. If you haven't been sleeved yet, that's not that weird at all. You could have easily eaten the whole meal. Hmmm.. guess I don't get this post.
  19. My EKG looks different than it did in May. My surgeon won't touch me until I see a Cardiologist. I go see her tomorrow. Today is my pre op. I think the EKG is a mistake. It often happens when a lead is not placed correctly. My surgery is Tuesday. I've come so far. Ya'll keep me in your prayers. I'm ready to do this. My insurance runs out in December.
  20. I have a reaction While I'm drinking them. Makes me nauseated.
  21. My family and friends did not want to hear about it. They were not interested in getting educated. Only my boyfriend supports it.
