  1. Im just three weeks po today-i am looking into healthy crust and found some califlower recipes for it. Ill try someday. For now i just cant wait to eat a piece of food that isnt pureed to bits[emoji23]
  2. Congrats on the upcoming date and i can certainly agree dont go gaining weight youll just have to lose again. Pizza or some form of it will be around later[emoji30][emoji23]
  3. I work in an office as well-im on my third week off with one to go. So 4 weeks total. I dont wanna bother with work when im trying to learn how to eat. When im back ill be on soft solids. So ill feel more normal imo.
  4. Wow. I have only been here since early July but i see the same people starting fights or being annoying on lots of posts. I just ignore them cause once you acknowledge their nonsense they get a kick out of it.
  5. Ive never felt full yet. I had a half cup of pureed chicken chili and i never felt full-gets me so worried[emoji20]
  6. Thank you-im just starting so how strong i really am is yet to be seen. Im just gonna take it a day at a time. Congrats on the upcoming surgery. Whats your date?
  7. I see alot of people say that if you work out alot you need to up your calories-sorry I cant be much help as im just getting started.
  8. Dont think is has anything to do with experience at all-that doesnt even make sense to me. I think the two week pre op diet i had-liquids only-prepared me for what came after surgery. Not being able to have any solids-by the time i had surgery it didnt affect me at all. Also think it prepares you to eat to live and not live to eat.
  9. You should read up on your insurances policies. My insurance didnt allow a net gain from start to finish of the supervised diet. You had to weigh less or the same come the end-not even a pound heavier or insurance would not approve. Not sure if your self pay then i guess it would be up to your doctor and their rules.
  10. I am already planning on making the bake its the first thing on my list[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  11. Sounds yummy. I am still in liquids until tuesday. I have a ways to go[emoji849] lolol. Actually scared to really have pureed foods or even soft foods.
  12. Great news-closed mouths dont get fed[emoji23][emoji23]. Best of luck on your journey!
  13. Yes pizza is loved lol. But i dont forsee me trying any for a very long time-possibly never again-well at least not in the standard form. I just keep telling myself i had surgery for a reason and pizza is one of them! Le sigh-plan to leave all those bad habits behind.
  14. From what i read you will be there sooner than you think! Lets see whats to come when we start real food.
  15. Eating sounds divine[emoji1487] just waiting my time.
  16. Ill check it out for when I can eat food-im still on liquids thus the thought of blending the pizza[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  17. Guess it really is very different for everyone-im just happy im not the only one who can drink freely.
  18. Haha-yes i [emoji173]️pizza! Ugh oh well-ill love me more down the line.
  19. Omg i just imagined putting a slice of pizza in the blender[emoji30][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. Im not even hungry-head hunger is real??‍♀️
  20. Thank you everyone for your response to my question. I was rather worried but my mind is at ease now. I try not to worry cause that wont change things but that was really bothering me! Very happy to have a place to come and ask questions of those more experienced than myself.
  21. I havent experienced this so i cant offer more than....i hope it gets better soon! I am in NJ so also wanted to say hello.
  22. So my surgery was on 8/21. I am doing well physically-currently on full fluids. My concern is that i am able to drink a full cup of lets say tea within less than an hour-with out having any issue. Is that customary of this surgery. Im worried that my surgeon didnt take out enough. seems everyone else can barely take on 4oz's. I know we are all different so I cant really compare but in generalizing what i have read here its seems to be the norm. Im hoping I am also not doing anything wrong??
  23. Yes the largest incision sucks lol. But im feeling much better this week. How about you? I havent been cleared for yogurt but def enjoying my sf ice pops and creamy soups. I dont really miss food. I think im actually anxious about having to eat solids[emoji30]
  24. I think that was the right move-i switched surgeons a month after i started. I requested all notes up to that point and had them sent to the new surgeon. They were able to submit to jns based on my first appt even though it wasnt with them so if she gives you a hard time id say find another doctor.
