Hey guys, I am applying for a goverment job in which I have to do situps. Is this going to be a problem with my band or port? dacoz
  2. Glad I am not the only one that uses the Water trick, however my question is how much damage are we doing by bringing the food back up? I recently got a fill and well since I have been getting stuck very regularly. Thanks dacoz
  3. I am so glad I am not alone in the holiday blues. I am glad it's a new year and allows for me to start back on track! Good luck to anyone that has fallen into the holiday blues and lets get back on track together!!! Chris:thumbup:
  4. I was banded on 8-18-08 and had a band fill of 4.5cc on 10/3. I have been able to eat just about anything without problems which is kinda scares me. I have no problem eating bread, chicken, fired foods, pasta. I just called to get another band fill. Going in tomorrow, will see how that goes. I am just really scared of stretching the pouch.
  5. Please dont take this the wrong way......whenever I am reminded of my old clothes and what to do with them, I think of the commerical from bow flex " I gave all my fat clothes to my fat friends" I know it's kind mean but was just had to mention it. Dacoz
  6. I feel all of your pain as well. I am currently 6 weeks post op and lately been having terrible gas pain discomfort. I went to go see my PCP yesterday to see whats up. My doc informed me that the reason we are having so much as is due to our gallbladder. This is quite common for someone having WLS which makes your gallbladder work hard with burning your fat. Hope this sheds some light...... Chris
  7. Do you guys still measure your food? I am just so concerned with over eating if I don't measure my foods to 1/2 cup. Are there certain foods you just can eat without measure like salads or vegies? Chris
  8. Hey quick question: How do you guys eat cold Cereal with milk since we are not suppose to drink and eat at the same time. I am just curious how much milk you guys add. Thanks Chris:cool2:
  9. I am 15 post-op and pasta is on my mushie stage menu to eat from. I have been eating 1/2 cup of manicotti for dinner.
  10. Yesterday was my first day back too.....talk about exhausted.......came home and crashed. I guess I was just used to taking it easy all last week.
  11. Also, not to get too far off track.....what kinds of things do you eat for snack time. I was kinda upset with myself as I am on day 1 of mushie stage and just had a snack of yogurt. I come to realize the yogurt is 6oz 2 oz over the 4 I am suppose to be sticking too.. Thanks Chris
  12. Just curious to see how you fellow bandsters handle snack time....when snack time comes do you stop drinking 30mins before and 60mins after? Thanks Chris
  13. Quick question....Monday I start my mushie stage and I was wondering since I am only to be eating 4oz how do you measure out the cold Cereal with milk. How much of each??? Thanks Chris
  14. Hey I got banded on the 18th too, stayed over night which glad I did.....they helped give me some pain meds. I too and having some pain when getting up and down specially from the toilet as its a little bit lower than the one in the hospital. I think most of my pain and soreness is coming from the PCA pump which is glued to the middle of my chest. I also have started to have some pain in my legs.....talked to my pcp and he doesn't think its a clot as it wouldn't be in both legs. I just feel as my muscles in the back of my legs are tight as hell. Good luck to you all and keep us posted!
  15. Hey I just home from surgery yesterday. I too stayed overnight. I didn't get much sleep but I continued to walk as much as I could. I am also having trouble sitting or even getting up from the toilet. But all in all, I am feeling great just sore in the mid section. I am on instant bk for the rest of the week and go to 2nd phase of soft foods. My one suggestion to anyone getting banded here on out is walk, just walk anytime you can. Thanks Chris:shades_smile:
