Vegan or Vegetarian RNY Mentor
Hi I'm vegan 3 years now. I love my plant based lifestyle. No animals or animal products are consumed by me. I also just had a revision on 7/16/17 I went from vertical banded Gastroplasty performed in 1993 to my current gastric bypass. I'd love to chat with y'all too. My email is aka_et@me.com You can find me on Instagram and or Facebook. However I do not discuss anything about my weight loss surgery on either media account. I don't care to do so. But I do discuss being a vegan. Aka_ET HW-220 Pre-op 194.3 RNY SD June 16th 2017 CW-188 GW-140 HT 5' 3" [emoji120][emoji878][emoji1272] "You may see me struggle but you will never see me quit"

Stalls Da&%it!!!!
I had surgery on June 16th I hadn't lost a pound, I came home 5 days post op and in fact I weighed more. I stoped weighing myself daily as the office had advised me to. They also said that my weight can fluctuate between 3/4 pounds daily due to the different times of weigh in's and any retention. At my f/u yesterday I weighed in and counted 6 pound loss! Wow! I was expecting more. I asked the Surgeon yesterday why only 6 pounds he replied with, "your body has just had major surgery, it's healing and I'll see the weight drop once everything goes back to normal. As long as I stay on track" So I'm trying hard to stay on track. Why are you not getting enough protein? Have you started your second week of foods? Amount of Fluids
Yes true all Dr's have their own rules I just had my surgery at Cedar Sinaid hospital last Friday the 16th in LA and I can have sugar-free Jell-O sugar-free popsicles, sugar free Italian ice, I can have propel, vita water, sugar free crystal light and that will count towards my liquids intake, but my protein shake are not part of my liquid intake, that counts as my protein intake. Otherwise you won't get enough water during the day. I can send you a copy of that page from my bariatric hand out book that they have provided for my guidance, if you like.
