Surgery August 16th
Hi all, those on the liquid stage , I would not be worried yet, you are still healing, when moving onto protein/solids you really will feel full, liquids I can have 4 ounces. Meat 1 or 2 ounces. Some foods allow you to eat more.

Surgery August 16th
Lets you eat anything and you have no restriction? Can I ask what you are eating, i am 7 weeks post, is this the case if you eat just protein? so you can eat unlimited about of steak for example?

Diet at 6 wks post op
Its honestly mind blowing , the difference from liquids then purees then normal food, Some things make you fuller faster like meat and some things give you extra wiggle room lol Like at the restaurant I wanted abit more time to not get full so I had half a tomatoe before taking a bite of my meat lol ( You are supposed to do protien first but yeah i enjoyed myself)

Diet at 6 wks post op
Its one of those things we all think we should be losing faster I think! I need to drink more water as I think this is slowing my loss! I barely drank while I was away!

Diet at 6 wks post op
I WISH!! HAHA no my definition of a holiday is a hotel 2 hours away It did have a lovely beach and only rained on the last day so I cant complain haha! My kids loved the rides! I loved the 3 pieces of zuckini fries I had been dreaming about since the last time I went there, I hated wasting them, we ordered to the room, and I even saved the left over zuchinis till the next day and realised, I better throw them away lol. That was hard! I used to finnish two bowls when I come here lol.

Diet at 6 wks post op
That makes sense, sometimes our bodies need more. I was more curious of if this was the plan from her surgeon what he would have her on at say 3 months post? I was just curious lol I know all plans seem to vary considerably At 4 weeks puree food was so gross to me I barely ate anything. I am eating more on normal food than when I was on puree , baby food stage was a no go for me lol What did you eat today? Its very odd that post sleeve I want to know what everyone is eating lol.

Diet at 6 wks post op
There is a different between a woman at 4 weeks hitting 1000 and a man further along hitting 1000 though.. She also said she was not losing so that amount I was thinking may not be suitable, but said if that is what her surgeon advised then great. I dont think I mentioned anything about you or saying you should minimize calories, i just asked pit a question. But yes I am fully aware that calories vary depending on the individual /if they work out , size etc, I just Could not fathom 1000 at 4 weeks, for me hence why I wondered what she was having. But I fully took into consideration that there are many variables. lol. And your doing great, alot of us give into cravings every now and again, we are all human! Keep at it

Thinking about SLEEVE...is this a regret?
1. No. I tried following post op diet before, could not as did not have restriction. 2. I still eat out 6 weeks post, eat a starter and take rest home, no issue. 3. No one knows other than my mum , no issue. I don't tell random people info they do not need to know not hiding it , but I dont care what anyone thinks. I wanted my mums opinion , so I told her. 4. I am allowed pasta if I want it. and bread. But I do not want it, you can not imagine it now as you have not had the surgery, but bread makes me so full, I just do not see the point now. I used to eat alot of those stuff. You could probably have a few pieces and be done with it. I know some peoples plans are low carb. I am not low carb but it happens without trying. Say I have a plate with potatoes, veg and meat, I eat the meat first, then have a bite of spinach, and I am full, so do not eat the potatoes. 5. At the end of the day you know why you want to do this surgery, for me it was for my health, to be alive and well with less health issues for my children, so I do what I can to make it work. Many people find 'Reasons' why this may not be for them. For alot it is just the fear of the unknown. I have NO regrets. I am only 6 weeks post. No longer on blood pressure meds, and overall healthier. P.s I would never Expect anyone to change their habits for me or because of me, responsibility for ourselves, and the decisions we choose to make is something we learn along the way. My friends order pizza,I was on liquids so I CHOSE to stick to my plan, its hard at first, but when you start seeing improvements in your self whatever your goals are, its exciting and worth it Goodluck with your journey.

To eat daily, or not to eat...EGGS!
I am confused, going through this thread. Is the arguing about eggs? Or something else? I have not got to the end yet, but are people saying eggs are bad, or are they fine?

Weight loss surgery and depression
Whatever you do though, being in therapy will help , your surgeon knowing what you are dealing with etc.
