    May 6th fill

    may was my fill appointment.i could not wait to get one.because i have been stuck in twoterville for three months,i am trying to get to onederland.as of todayi have lost 3lbs.it seems so slow.i know i have to be patient.my doctor has started skipping fills to every two-three months,i have another appointment in july.i am going on vacation to the hot south.at the end of june. for the 4th of july.so i will get a fill at the end of july when i get back.the fill he gave me was enough i did not fell any restriction .untilabout a week ago.at first i thought he miss the port.but no i have been feeling it for a week now.so i am out of obese 3 catergory, they have three obese classes(1-2-3)i am down to 1.my bmi started out at (55.6)at 324lbs-now bmi=34.8 weight 203lbs. still trying to get to onederland.hope everyone is doing great on your journey.:rolleyes2::thumbup:

    :thumbup:March 8th, was my fill appointment.i have lost 9lbs. since january.he always skips a month. so today i did not need a fill.so i go back in two months.so i think i am at a stage where i am loving my band,i can only eat like 1 cup full an i am done.my starting out weight was 324lbs.now i am down to 206lbs.don,t want anymore fills no time soon.i always lose between 5-10lbs after each fill today i am feeling great. i am thankful for the lapband, an my doctor.:thumbup:.an my daughter who stuck by me during the whole process.never in a million years that i ever thought of having weightloss surgery.an i am also thankful to the lapband community.you guys are great support.hope everyone is having a great journey even though for some of us it is slow, like me.but never give up..

    Lost 12pounds in two weeks.

    :mad3::bored:Today is feburary 1st. i went to my primary doctor for my checkup an i lost 12lbs since january11th, which was my fill.an this one took me for a (loop)i think i was too tight. i was drain of energy, i dry heaved for a day,but i did manage to keep liquids down,an ice chips.i almost call my doctor for an unfill.but now i am doing better.maybe i am at my sweet spot.i can only eat 1/2 cup. its a different feeling when full sometime i think i overeat so now i have to measure my food.i was in bed for a week.it just took the get up an go get em out of me.so thats makes a118lbs lost i wanna hit onederland soon.hope everyone doing good on your journey.

    :ohmy::thumbup:Monday january 11th i went in for another fill. december i did not get one. but i survive the holidays,i lost 2lbs.so today is the 14th i got on the scale an it says 210lbs.so that,s 7lbs since monday.this is a picture of me now.i went from 324lbs to 218lbs.this picture.i have come a long way.thanks to the band. today i uploaded some pictures to the album.my name is (Sil)an you can see a big difference.i was very impatience with my band.you know when we always say it,s so slow. well we all go through those changes.as of today i have lost 113lbs.40lbs before surgery.an today i feel so good.we are so blessed.we all takes a lot of things for granted.i thank god everyday&night for my blessings so bandsters just hang in there.we will get to our goal. some will be a little slower than others.we have the power to do it.around this time last year i lost my best friend to a stroke.so it has been a sad journey during the hoildays i miss her so much. but i know she is up in heaven. looking down on us. (so l love you (Mollie Pergues) we will meet again one day until then god bless).to the bandsters i love you all.:cursing::thumbup::sad:.

    :thumbup:today i went in for my 8th fill.which is really suppose to be my 10th, but i did not get 2 fills due to weight loss.so today i weight in at 220lbs,i lost 4lbs this month. so that brings my total weight loss to 104lbs. i am so excited.cannot wait to get to onderland.my doctor put in 1/2cc so i can feel it tighten up.i am suppose to go back in january.i was worried about thanksgiving but that pass i only ate a small portion of everything.then i got on my bike after every portion an pedal like crazy. a little overkill but i was not gonna gain an ounce.it worked for me. my doctor is gonna be on a tevelision show on channel8 thats call connecticut style on dec,15or16. he told me after my fill so i am gonna be sure to watch.hope everyone is doing great on your journey in life. love ya (.:thumbup::sleep2::thumbup:sil)

    :smile::crying::thumbup:My appointment was october 26. my doctor did not give me a fill. because i lost 5lbs. but in all i have lost 100lbs. that is great. i lost 40lbs before surgery. i am so happy, can,t wait to get to onderland.i am now wearing a size 18 pants. from a size 20. i feel good.hope every one is doing great on your journey. :thumbup::thumbup:

    Sept 28,09 8th Fill

    hello everyone how are things going. i went in for my 8th fill today. i lost 5lbs thats good.the doctor only gave me a little fill .3.i still have restriction. in the mornings.an at night. hope you are doing great.i just wanted to add i have lost inches.i went from a size 20/22 to a size 18w, jeans an pants ooooh what a feeling. i went to the store an tried on a pair of 18, an boy was i shock.hope everyone is doing great on your journey in life.an now i can feel my tail bone, i can feel it when i lay on my back at night. its anoying. an when i sit down. i can feel it.thats something i never thought i would feel. it feels weird.now i know its there.

    August-24/7th fill

    :laugh::thumbdown:today i went for my 7th fill.my appointment was at 11:40 this morning.he put in 1/2cc. i gained 2lbs.their is no excuse, but i gave one anyway. which was my birthday was on the 17th so i went out to dinner an i ate me some eggplant parmesan.an my birthday cake with icecream.i knew better but i said its my birthday.he didnot give me a fill last month because i lost 14lbs.an i told him i had little restriction. this time when he did the fill i felt the liquid inside. i hope to do better this month. the only time i lose is when i get my fills. so wish me luck people.hope everyone is doing great on your journey.:laugh::ohmy:.

    Today was my dcotors appointment. its been six months. he did not give me a fill today because. i lost 14lbs. between june-july.maybe i am at my sweet spot. i don,t know yet. but guess what i am down 95lbs. 5lbs away from the big 100lbs.so far their is no problems.i exercise five times a day on my stationary bike.the nurse said you are just shrinking away. what a nice compliment. so next month i go back to get check out again.i went from 324 to 233. wow. i love my band.:ohmy::thumbup:. hope everyone is doing great.

    5 months out/5th fill

    Today i went in for my fifth fill.i had an appointment for june 15th but i postpone it due to my daughter graduation.i did not want to feel sick.because the last fill kick in the next day.an i felt nasty.anyway i went to his office at 11:00.this time he did not give me 1/2cc.he only gave me .3cc.guest he did not wanna overdo it.i still have restriction from last month but as time goes on you can fell it fade away. well not all the way.my daughter is a high school graduate.she will be going to college. i am so proud of her. thats my baby girl.hope everyone is doing great on your journey.sil:thumbup:

    :smile::tt2:SINCE MONDAY AFTER MY FOURTH FILL. CAME HOME ONLY LOST 2POUNDS. THE NEXT DAY MY FILL KICK IN GUEST I LOST 12 POUNDS I WAS IN SHOCK. TUESDAY MORNING I GOT ON THE SCALE IT READ 251 I THOUGHT IT WAS A MISTAKE THE NEXT DAY GOT ON IT AGAIN IT READ 248. HOLY MOLY. I THOUGHT I NEEDED A UNFILL SO I WENT TO SEE MY DOCTOR TODAY.BECAUSE MY THROAT WAS SORE. BUT IT HAS SUBSIDED. AT FIRST I COULD NOT DRINK WATER. OF ANYTHING ELSE. SO TODAY NO MORE SORE THROAT. IT WAS MY BAND ADJUSTING. HE SAID COME BACK IF ANYTHING HAPPEN. I LOVE MY BANDED. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT 12 POUNDS IN FOUR DAYS.IT WAS JUST MONDAY THAT I GOT MY FOURTH FILL.:huh2:SO IN ALL MY TOTAL WEIGHT LOST IS 75 POUNDS INCLUDING PRE-OP WEIGHT LOST.

    :smile:HI i went for my fourth fill yesterday.5/18/09. i am down 2 more pounds. i will take that.so thats22 pounds lost after my surgery.plus the 40 before.as usual the doctor was great, i was in an out within 10 minutes. had to catch the bus from wtby to newhaven. it is a hour long drive an ocourse the bus driver took forever. just creeping along then someone yell its gonna be a long ride.but we all made it.its seem like i hit a plateau but it will work itself out. i am still exercising 3-4 times a day, my daughter graduates in june16th. yea,:cool::smile::thumbup::tt2::waytogo::smile2: i am so proud of her.my next fill appiontment is june 15th.so everyone good luck on your new life journey.i forgot to tell you boy am i restricted..

    3 months post-op 3rd fill

    :tounge_smile:hi every one today i went for my third fill.he put in 1/2ccs.i am down two more pounds. i have the#10 band that holds 4ccs.it was no problem my doctor does the fills. before surgery i lost 40pounds after two weeks post-op i lost 19pounds.with today that makes 63 pounds overall. an the amazing thing is that i am losing more inches.because when i get on the scale it seems like its not moving but the nurse says i am doing great. that was good to hear.my appointment was at 11:40. it takes an hour bus ride from wtby to newhaven hope everyone is doing great in bandland my next appointment is may 9 so good luck everybody on our new journey in life.(sil).

    :ohmy::thumbup::mad2::eek:I was warming up some sauted broccoli.an i took a bite an when it went down i didn,t feel anything but as soon as i took bite number two i knew this was not gonna be good it felt different an hurt more it was just stuck like in my chest an it was a painful experience.it lasted for about half an hour i could feel it in my throat trying to come back up but it would not so i had to run upstairs to the toilet because i knew i was gonna throw up.when i did it was slime. it came up twice.it was gross the painful feeling was still there about ten minutes later the broccolli came up an instant relief. i would not want to experienced that again i could just feel it right their in my throat not going nowhere an the thing about this stuck feeling when it was happening i thought about everything on this site the people was talking about you guys was going through my mind. so this is what it is what a bad feeling my chest hurt like it was tighting upi could not do anything but let it run its course.i was home alone i was scared. for the resr of the day i did liquids i remember that an yogurt. but today i am feeling great thanks for letting me vent (sil). an stop&shop has yogurt on sale 20 for $8:00.until the end of the week.(dannonight&fit) but this morning shoprite has the same yogurt 20 for $4:00. did i get rip off or what. iwent an got 40.for $16:00.this morning i could have gotten 40 for $8:00 oh well it is still not to late but i have to first eat all 40 others. just kidding i would not be that greedy they are only 80 calories they are good. i have to go now wishing everyone well on our new journey in life.:thumbup:

    Second fill/3/9/09

    :confused::smile:Hi everyone hope everything is going well.i had an appointment today at 11:40, i took the bus i was late there. it takes an hour from where i live their was four clients ahead of me but i waited patiently because i wanted my fill he put in 1/2 cc i felt the gurgling water going down i lost 4 pounds so far. during the whole ten months so far i am down waist size from 32 to 26.as a reward i went to avenue plus an bought myself three pairs of blue jeans an a blouse.they had a coupon if you sign up right then you will recieve a discount those three pair of jeans &blouse would have cost me $114.00 with the discount i paid $90.00.it feels so good just to go an try on clothes.i hope everyone is doing good on your new journey in life. the fill did not hurt at all.it only took 5 seconds.i like my doctor .i can come back evert two weeks.the nurses ask do you think you need a fill.(yes).my next appointment is april 19. because his office is doing renovations. i am on liquida for today, mushies tomorrow an regular food for wednesday.well i gotta go now i love this site so much an also love you guys so hang in their everyone an god speed. sil.:thumbup:

    :w00t:hi everyone today i went for my first fill. my appointment was at 11:40. got their at 11:15. had to wait for like five minutes.by the way i gained 3lbs.she ask me what i was eating i said mashed potatoes.mushy stage she said no carbs.but protien. the doctor gave me 1.5cc he said i had the small band, standard.i don,t know how many cc,s it hold. but anyway it was painless an easy about f ive seconds it was done he ask me did i fell anything i say no he says most people do some don,t but for a second i could taste it in my throat.it taste just like my iv fluid when my nurse change my iv bag during my hospital stay. after the fill he gave me water to sip it went down fine.i am to do liquids for today, tomorrow mushy, then he said regular foods.he is a great doctor.so far i haven,t had any complications what so ever. as i sit here sipping my chicken broth i think i can feel something.so my people how are you doing. wishing everyone blessings on our new journey in life.     2 weeks post-op checkup

    :thumbup:today was my two weeks post-op checkup i have lost 19 pounds so far. my scars are well. i start soft foods tomorrow.i still don,t have much of a appetite.my starting weight since i started april of 08 was 324 during the six months before surgery i lost 40lbs.that was sept 08,now its january 09 the total is 59lbs. i feel so wonderful.the doctor say i can do any exercise i want so i start back on my stationary bike tomorrow.:cheatfree:.i cannot believe that i lost that much weight.wishing everyone well on your new journey in life. sil.:cheatfree:

GOD REST HER SOUL, I KNOW SHE IS GOING TO A BETTER PLACE.I LOVE YOU DEARLY MOLLIE PEGUES.WHAT A SAD SITUATION ON TOP OF ALL THAT I AM SCHEDULE FOR SURGERY TOMMORROW MORNING AT 6:30, AN THE NURSE CALL ME FROM THE DOCTOR OFFICE AN SAID CONGRATS YOU WERE APPROVED THIS MORNING[WTH]. SOMEBODY LIED THE DOCTOR SAYS IT ONLY TAKES TWO WEEKS,THAT WAS THE 26TH OF NOV,MAYBE IT WAS THE HOLIDAYS I DON,T KNOW,I AM THINKING I AM ALREADY APPROVED. THIS IS A LAST MINUTE APROVAL THIS MORNING AN MY SURGERY IS TOMORROW HOW CLOSE IS THAT.I CANNOT BELEAVE MY FRIEND IS GONE. WE TALK EVERYDAY ON THE PHONE REGARDLESS.IF EITHER OF US HAD A BAD DAY WE ALWAYS TALK.YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST FRIEND I EVER HAD.GOD REST YOUR SOUL.LOVE ALWAYS.(Sil).

    :redface::thumbdown:hello everyone my surgery went very well,i arrive at the hospital at 4:30. had to be there at 6:30, me an my daughter, went to pre-admitting office got call back in the room got my iv put in, waited another30 minutes. took off everything.talk to the anathesiologist. he was explaining about the tube that goes down your throat. he says if it doesn,t go all the way down he might have to wake me up a little, to get it down,(yea right). i walk in the operating room looking at them making up the bed i had to lay on, i almost ran out of the room. i got on the bed they strap these massage pads on both legs that vibrates fell so good to keep your blood circulating.he put the oxygen mask on my face all the while making jokes,saying take deep breath, get all that good oxygen. i am thinking these people are not going to put me to sleep.next thing i knew i was waking up in recovery, moaning she ask did i need pain medication i moan yes,they call my daughter back for a few minutes to see me.hour later they took me to my room. i wasn,t in pain just a lot of discomfort, no chest pain.no port pain, i stayed overnight so did my daughter. i don,t know what it is about hospitals it not like home, could not wait to get home.i had round the clock care it felt so good to be taken care of.my dr had like 20 people on the staff all night that was in an iut of my room,7:00 that morning had to go for the dreded barium swallow, it,s just real bitter had to take three big gulp of that brown liquid, turn from side to side, then came the sweet thick syrup. same thing over again then 15 minutes later i was back in my room then the doctor camr by an told me the surgery went so smooth that i can go home what nice words we call a cab an an hour later we were home i went to bed the doctor said to start my ensure the following day my stomach is growling but i am not hungery my throat was sore for that day today isday four an i feel great took off my bandages yesterday with no problem layed in the bed most of yesterday i can climb the stairs ok if you have any questions leave me a message good luck everyone on your journey also:lol::thumbup:Sil..

    :thumbup::tt2:wow i can,t believe it will be three days before my surgery i am nervous, it,s been 10months, that,s a long time.my best friend had a stroke she live right across the street from me. shocking, i love her an praying she will be allright, she has a daughter that,s stays with her,i am going to the hospital tomorrow to see her i pray she makes a full recovery.we talk on the phone at least twice a day.i just hope she come out fighting.had to tell someone you guys are the greastest.glad i join this site.:eek::confused:

    :thumbup:Today was my appointment with dr. had to be there at 11:00. went over everything he gave me a prescription for my pain meds.then had to go to hospital for pre-admitting testing has to do an ekg,an the nurse took about 6 vails of blood they also ask me all kinds of questions, then i met the anathesiologist hope i spell that correct, he told me what will happen,he gave me pecid tablest one for the night before surgery an the one the day of surgery.in all i was there from 11:00 until 3:30.what a day the nurse also said she will call me friday with a time that i am suppose to show up at the hospital.my surgery date is next tuesday the 13th. one week away. well i have to go an pack to get stuff organize. will keep everyone posted.sil:thumbup::confused:

    :cool:this morning was my app for the info session, thats when the doc get a group of people together. to discuss the surgery an to answer any queastions that you may have, now he says the office will submit them today they will recieve them on monday then it,s takes about 2 weeks to make a decision.they also took a photo an did a weigh in so as of today i weigh 282.8 pounds my goodness in total i have lost 40 pounds. when i started the process back in april it was 324 pounds. i am trying to keep it off the doc says no pre-op diet unless necessary.so maybe around january that,s what his nurse told us because of the holidays, doctor kurt roberts of yale newhaven in ct very nice doctor took time to answer all the questions everyone had the session was 3 hours long.had to be there at 8:00 to fill out other documents so all went well, happy thanksgiving everyboby.gobble, gobble:thumbup::confused:
