  1. I am definitely in the same boat--sleeved on May 24th and since then have lost only 10 pounds. I have been in a stall for the last 2 weeks. Everyone says this is normal and that I should continue to stick with it. Let's all promise each other we will and report back when this blasted stall passes!!! Overweight Failure

Thanks, everyone, for the helpful hints, words of wisdom, and encouragement. I was really thinking I was that unique exception to the wonderful world of gastric sleevers! I will keep at it and have faith in the process/program. My very best to you all! VSG: 5/24/2017 HW: 234 Pre-op: 226 CW: 213.8 GW: 155

    Overweight Failure

Thanks so much for these words of wisdom. I'm trying my best to turn the page and get back to being positive. Congrats on your sleeve, by the way!

    Overweight Failure

I never experienced any problems with intake after the first week. I drink muscle milk once daily, then I consume Oikos yogurt, refried beans, pure protein bar, sometimes cream of wheat, sometimes sugar free fudgsicle, tuna, sweet potato....

    Overweight Failure

I thought about contacting my surgeon's office but I didn't want to be met with ridicule or worse--false sympathy. It is comforting to know others have been or are in the same situation. I stayed off my scale but hopped on today since it is my 3 week "anniversary". I wish I hadn't because I am having a very hard time moving on/out of this self pity and loathing I am currently in. Thanks for your responses. VSG: 5/24/2017 HW: 234 Pre-op: 226 CW: 213.8 GW: 155
  6. So idiot here got on the scale this morning because today is my 3 week post op anniversary. I gained 3 pounds and haven't lost any weight in about 2 weeks. I'm feeling really bad about myself and along with am wondering if I had a botched surgery. I'm past any and all advice at this point and am wondering why I am destined to be an overweight failure. There are no more excuses I can fathom at this point. I am tracking my intake and net at under 1000 calories every day. I'm moving more than the requirement. I'm hungry a lot (like right now) but after one screw up 2 weeks ago have been adhering to the meal list. I'm not sure if I can hold it together; just feel like a failure. Sorry to be a downer. I honestly don't expect any responses--just needed to vent. Thanks for reading.

    No Weight Loss

Thanks. I'm actually only 17 days post op. In your opinion (& I will do the google search), could the "3 week stall" occur just after 2 weeks? VSG: 5/24/2017 HW: 234 Pre-op: 226 CW: 213.8 GW: 155

    Two weeks post op.......

I just wrote a similar post--no weight loss in a week; also 2 weeks post op. Maybe it is hormonal? It's very concerning. VSG: 5/24/2017 HW: 234 Pre-op: 226 CW: 213.8 GW: 155
  9. I have been the same weight for this entire week despite following the eating plan 100%. Has anyone experienced this? Reasons? Suggestions? Advice? VSG: 5/24/2017 HW: 234 Pre-op: 226 CW: 213.8 GW: 155
  10. Amazing success! Let us know what your dietician recommends if you can and don't mind!
  11. That's awesome!! Congrats right back!
  12. Greetings! So today marks my 2 week post op! I've lost 13 pounds. Just wondered how others fared on their 2 week anniversary?

    Incorrect Eating

@Michelle920 yes indeed! I wrote that last night. Back on track 100% today. Thanks!
  14. Congratulations on your new sleeve! The swallowing will get better (I, myself, never experienced it but I have heard stories), and you are right--temptation will always be there. I concur with regard to the vitamin chewing. It does slightly curb the desire to chew. For me, I simply need to keep myself occupied. We will be successful!
  15. @MowryRocks well that just upped my panic level. I don't want to be that fatality you mention. For the purpose of perspective, would you mind elaborating on what your doctor said, i.e., was that one fatality continuously binging? Was there hope for the deceased that he/she didn't take advantage of (like reaching out to the surgeon early on explaining what he/she has done)? Basically, I need to know if I should head to ER despite not having felt any side effects of my behavior--is it silently killing me???
