So I was sleeved Wednesday and I'm able to drink/eat Jello about 4 oz at time and sip about 6 oz of Soup in an hour. I don't feel pain, full, hungry. Anyone else able to eat/drink so much on first few days?

If you are really concerned about it I would encourage you to enter detox and then a substance abuse program. Your mind will tell you you can use more but your body is NOT the same. Please go to detox and follow up with treatment! If you drink or use a lot you MUST be medically monitored when you stop. Withdrawal from alcohol can be fatal. If you aren't sure about treatment go to Alcoholics Anonymous. It sounds like you have multiple addictions and now that food isn't an option your drug and alcohol use tends to escalate. Please seek treatment!!!

Had surgery on 5/10/17. My heaviest day. I wasn't embarrassed as I was sure I wasn't the only one. But after surgery for the next 2 days I clotted like never ever before. And I've had 3 kids. It truly freaked me out.

Vinegars - Raspberry, Pear, Fig, Pomegranate, Cider, Red wine, Rice. Try them in your broths.

Water enhancers can be combined with Decaf teas or plain water.

syrups can be used with Protein Shakes as long as they are sugar-free. They can also be used in your decaf coffee.

Gelatins (sugar-free) can also be used in your Protein shakes. Use about a 1/4 of a teaspoon. You can also use these for a snack.

Any spice or spice mix without salt or sugar.

I had post op care other than 1 or 2 post op visits maybe 3-6 mo the out. Sorry my memory is horrible. I had gastric bypass May 2010. And was basically "pushed out of the nest" afterwards with not guidance or aftercare....
I was 378 when I had my surgery and got down to 178 (unfortunately, with the help methanphtamine for 2 year) I'm now at least 4 years clean and trying to become health and "right" but I'm back up to 280 pounds and feel like crap !! I called my surgeon to seek advice and was informed he no longer deals with weight loss surgery patients! That's all they told me! Idk where to go from here! I'm gaining and eating a depressed. My life has completely changed- I'm divorced and remarried and have a son and step son! I see a councilor and psychiatrist for depression.... I just want to be normal!!!! Any advice?

I am scheduled for surgery the end of July and being selfpay it's happening a lot faster than I expected. I'm relatively new to all this and was hoping to find a good book to read about the surgery and how to take care of yourself and diet afterwards. Any suggestions welcome!

    Hi Everyone!
I had a healthy babygirl in October. I have been breastfeeding and I have gained so much weight POST PARTUM. During my pregnancy I only gained 11 pounds (baby was nearly 6) so really only 5 pounds I was back to prepregnancy weight 5 days after being discharged from the hospiatal. I have since gained 15 pounds. My question is has anyone had a sleeve revision post partum? I am looking for real expectiations before I make an appointment with a surgeon. I am near the end of my breastfeeding journey (not by choice).

Surgery will either be 7/26 or 8/2. Self pay. I don't have to do 2 wk liquid diet only 2 wks clean eating. Now that I'm scheduled I'm more nervous and feel a little lost.

I am new. I met with the doctor today and he said I'm an excellent candidate for the sleeve. Being self pay they were ready to schedule me for July. Requirements are psych, medical clearance, ekg, and nutrition classes. I was NOT expecting to be asked this today. I'm not ready to have it in July. He also said that I won't have to do the liquid diet before just clean eating. I'm now nervous and a bit scared.
